Chris, You make the world a better place. Thank you for making these videos.
He sure does. 😎
Maybe no one else really cares except me.. but hearing and seeing the mariachi band. Seeing my culture represented so much in a Disney park and seeing people appreciate that type of music I grew up hearing. It brings tears to my eyes ❤ that wow, we’ve come so far.
What do you call a fake noodle? _An impasta._ ...it may be _cheesy_ but I thought it was _grate._ It's irony that the Zephyr means a type of wind while the Golden Zephyr is consistently closed because of wind. Michael Eisner had the finest logic when he was creating DCA. One of these days I'd love to put on a show at the Golden Horseshoe. Because everything I touch, turns into gold
The Golden Horsehoe is beautiful, has A/C, and you can see a piano show! What's more to love? I've never had a Disneyland funnel cake, but a classic Jersey Shore boardwalk funnel cake always hits the spot. Whenever I have funnel cake, I get hit with the nostalgia of walking down the Seaside Heights boardwalk with my dad before he passed.
Thank you for continuing to show the light when it's needed most with your motivation. You are doing God's work
You think maybe they have mobile ordering?
Chris, great interview 😊 My daughter is Jenny and she loves making the funnel cakes
Chris!!!! You should do a haunted Disney spots!
Since it’s Halloween 🎃 👻 plus the golden horse shoe reminded me of the little girl that’s know to be seen!!! Hahaha
Our code word for going to Disneyland is "get a churro". They taste best at night hot off the cart near Haunted Mansion, pair it with some coffee and we've got a deal - that's a go-to-treat that's fun to share. The actual meal that's a must again is at night time, the fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy at the Plaza inn. And of course if you're eating at the Blue Bayou it's always a very romantic night anytime of day; if you feel the portions are too large you can ask for plate splitting they'll charge a small fee and it's a great value. You'll even get a little more of the sides than you would as a single plate. Thanks for the Disney Fix.
And Chris… You are so special! Thank you so much for encouraging all of us! You will never know how many lives you personally have saved! We love ❤️ you Chris!
My go to food is the Dole Float. I can’t leave without having one! Chris, I love your comforting comments in each video, it reminds me that I am a great person. Have a Magical day!
Golden Horseshoe is one of our must have when we are at Disneyland. The Fish and Chips are amazing!
Loved that you were eating Italian food listening to mariachis 😂
I loved the num num cookies next to Incredicoaster 🍪
The Golden Horseshoe Review (Its real name) was a staple show I always made a point to attend since the early 60's until it closed in 1986 (at one point, it was the longest running show in the US. 31 years).
We use to never go to Disneyland without going to The Golden Horseshoe for a strawberry sundae and enjoy the Billies Miss them so much, best show ever.
Black Caf Cold Brew in Batuu, Mexican Cesar Salad at Rancho, and the charcoal looking orb at the Terran Treats cart at DCA. The sourdough bread at DCA is great too. 👍
There's Chris, filling hearts and buoying dreams! Thanks for the advice; I'm one of those people who have strolled past Stage Door Cafe a hundred times and never even poked my head in.
The prices at those places were VERY good. 11 bucks for fish and chips is good for any place. Same with the pasta. Great info Chris.
Reminiscing about the days of going to The Golden Horseshoe for a break and to watch Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, what a time.
The 5 cheese ravioli is my all-time favorite! Literally one of the most delicious meals you could have in the parks!
My favorite meal is Walt's Chili at Carnation Cafe with a diet Coke. So delicious. That four cheese ravioli looks great.
Chris, thank you for your message of us mattering. That is something that I needed to hear after these past few days. Truly thank you for helping me remember I'm worth it!
Chris do you ever struggle with depression or anything else that may drag you away from your chipper attitude? Your energy always lifts me up and I wonder regularly “what’s his secret”?
Love you and Amanda, and even more so the childhood you seem to be giving miles. Keep it up! All of it.
i know right i need his mindset
@@CSaenz44 right! Or at least someone close that has it lol to many negative people out here.
@@thetuckcanon seriously way to much negativity, when I see the positivity and gratitude In his videos it gives me hope
@@CSaenz44 facts. I share that sentiment.
Wow, what a question to ask on a public forum. But you know, some of the happiest people are inside the saddest or just struggling with something. Of course he has bad days, I think he brings this attitude not to just brighten up everyone else's day but it's also to brighten up his own and keep him positive and motivated.
The Horchata Cheesecake was the best dessert I had this last time we went to Disney!
I get the 5 cheese ravioli every trip. It is fantastic! What did you think of the cheesecake, Chris?
We just tried Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta on our trip two weeks ago. *chefs kiss* So amazing! And I love the shaded seating with the ceiling fans! Thank you for your content. You, my friend, are amazing!
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta is my favorite Disney/DCA restaurant. And the five cheese ravioli is the best.
Bengal BBQ skewers - nostalgia from childhood. When I was a kid they also served a drink that was pretty much purple grape juice concentrate 😋BTW this is the perfect video at the perfect time - I made last-minute plans and I've been worrying about getting some good Disneyland food!
Thank you for these amazing videos! We appreciate that you make US feel special. You are the Mr. Rogers of Disneyland videos. I love the churros!
Got to agree with your wife always got me popcorn when I was at Disneyland
We love Bengal BBQ! P.S. we just booked Disneyland, Disney World and Orlando Universal through Getawaytoday and mentioned you guys!
I'm thinking of using them for a trip! I want to go to NY then FL to the parks. Do they only do Disney?
@@ttninjaxx I don't think so but they are great
@@jasonneverkovec2889 thank you!
Bengal BBQ is my favorite quick service!
I'm glad you talked about the stage door Cafe. I always love eating there. the same with the Gumbo place right next to pirates of the Caribbean
Thank you for informing me about these underrated restaurants!! My favorite food to get at Disneyland is a Pineapple Dole Whip and I can't leave the park without one of those. The last time I went to Disneyland, I ate at Lamplight Lounge and had the Lobster Nachos. I sat outside on the deck and got a beautiful view of Pixar Pier.
We did the exact same thing! Last trip we went to lamplight lounge, had lobster nachos with an amazing view of the pier! ❤❤❤ such a great first experience! Been to Disney so many times and there will always be something new to do.
My favourite snack that I have to get anytime I go to disney is a mickey bar! It's a classic for me and holds so many happy memories.
The Golden Horseshoe best line “it’s made of wood” lol
Hungry Bear in Disneyland and Flo's V8 Cafe in DCA. I eat gluten free and have never been disappointed at either of these places.
I thought Rancho Del Zocalo might have been on the list. But thank you for the suggestions, positivity and great content as always. We might need to try those raviolis in a few days! Hoping to see you there!
Wow! Thanks for the info! I’m planning on taking my daughter (my sunshine) and hubby to the Golden Horseshoe in Dec but I didn’t know about the pizza place in ca adventure, we LOVE pizza!!!! 🥳so we will have to check that place out too!! ❤️Angie from CA
Oh I wanted to propose a video topic- is there a connection between the haunted mansion ride and the pirates of the Caribbean ride (like with the ride stories)??? I’m just very curious.😁🎃🎃🎃👻👻👻
The last three times I’ve been to DCA (2015,2019, and June of this year) I have gotten the five cheese ravioli from the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta every time! My absolute favorite place to eat in Disney’s California adventure!
do you know that youre awesome chris? do you? yes you, totally you. thank you for bringing us the magic even when we cant physically always be there with you, it feels like you take us right along. I hope to meet you in person some day and swap puns.
My husband and I HAVE to have a Dole whip in the Tiki Room!! 🍍🦜🌺❤️Love you, PPP!
I'm going to have to try the 5 cheese ravioli. That looked delicious!😋
I totally agree boardwalk pizza and pasta is a hidden gem. I think people don’t notice it in the corner. I am not a fan of the stage door and Golden Horseshoe- I think it’s more for fans of fried foods. The shwarma food carts in avengers campus area are really good and never busy when I’ve been there.
Bengal BBQ, Churros, and the Beignets at Mint Julep are must haves EVERY time we go!
Chris Funnel cake flashBack. I love strawberry funnel cakes. I would try Pumpkin spice though. Paradise Pizza & Mariachi band. Classic! At the end of the day I love a pastry on Main Street while watching the fireworks. Thanks for the foodtastic tips Chris!
One of our first trips we stumbled into Golden Horseshoe. We got seated just in time for Billy Hill and the Hillbillies to come on. We loved them and the location was perfect to get out of the sun. We attended at least one show every trip since then until they were moved to Knott's. Thank you for giving them the love they deserve! 😃
This was a must do for us also!!!
My dad and I would try to watch them every time we visited the parks!, they were the best!
I miss Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. Its too bad Disney didn't renew their contract. It made the Golden Horseshoe a must stop for me.
I appreciate how positive you are. I watch with my daughter every morning and it helps her day.
I believe the area where the Paradise Golden Grill is used to be a McDonalds. The PGG is a hidden gem. Our favorite used to be the Story Tellers Cafe - a great place for air conditioning, endless diet cokes, and good food. Now it is always a buffet - have only been there once since the switch. Great video as always.
Pretzel 🥨 Love my favorite Disneyland Park one fan Big 💖💖💖💖💖🏰💯🎶
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta is my FAVOURITE place to eat in all of DLR
I love the Golden Horseshoe. Before Covid they had delicious chicken wings. Wish they would bring those back! The pasta place at DCA is very good and never crowded. Great video!
Aw I love the throwback to your first video!!! Chris you add light to the world!! You too have been to the depths of hell the last few years and your soul still radiates so much kind. Thank you for that.
your comment about not giving up is the reason why I enjoy disney. people like u make disney fun😊
I first read this as "4 most underrated restrooms" which also would make a great video! Lol!
Favorite snack/food... dole whip, mint chocolate chip waffle cone while people watching on Main Street, and the Endorian salad at Docking Bay 7.
That would be an amazing video. 🤣💙💚
Love your channel and your positivity, Chris. I sure enjoyed this episode! The Golden Horseshoe has a soft spot in my heart; I worked at Disneyland at the Café Orleans in 1986 and 1987, the year that Captain Eo and Star Tours opened, and Eisner kept the park open for 60 hours straight, TWICE! Back then, the Golden Horseshoe was a real, registered Vaudeville theatre. It had a resident show from the day Disneyland opened , and I was in the audience for the Golden Horseshoe Revue's final show in 1986. It broke my heart. I'm glad they at least have live music in there; the Revue was GLORIOUS.
I went 3 times to Disneyland in the early 1980's and went to the Golden Horseshoe on my last visit. It was one, if not my favorite thing I did that day at Disney. Sad to hear the Revue is not around anymore.
Such a clever video… love the hidden gems just as much as the classics.
That Horchata Cheesecake! Wow, I want to try that.
Great work PPP 🎉
corndogs, corndogs, corndogs! that little stand at the end of Main Street. soda always goes good with it. and don't forget the mustard, catchup...or both!
Thank you for everything you do Chris. You always lift up my days. It's been much needed.
The golden horse shoe has great memories for me.
If I go during the holidays, my favorite treat is the mickey mouse gingerbread man with chocolate dipped ears, and white chocolate buttons. It has been my fav for over 10 years! They are soft and chewy and perfectly tasty with coffee!! ☕️🤤 You can find them in Disneyland and California Adventure Park.
Great video! That last meal looked delish! Yes to more content about great eats at Disneyland.
When my family went to Disneyland/DCA in 2013, we found Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. W realy enjoyed the pizza and salads. We ate outside in a little shady spot near a large gate. A little while longer, the Pixar Pals came through the gate for a parade. We had a shady cool spot to watch the parade from. It was very nice
The Chicken Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto pasta is such a favorite of ours! We figured out an easy way to make it at home. Pick up some of the tomato soup and pesto that they sell at Costco in the refrigerated section. Simmer the soup in a frying pan, add in some cherry tomatoes cut in half, and some chicken that has already been cooked, then add pesto to taste. Super easy and so delicious on any pasta.
There's nothing I love more than spending time with my framily at Disneyland.
Bengal BBQ/Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta are the champions, and Main Street popcorn on the way out to drown myself in salt on the way home.
I used to love boardwalk pizza and pasta but after I got food poisoning from there (around when paint the nite first came to dca) I haven’t been able to go back 😅
In DCA in the winter time that five cheese ravioli is gastro centrically hypnotic. My wife and I were walking by in the evening and the aroma was thick in the air. We were hungry we thought we'll go for it, even though it was kind of a confusing food offering in a Mexican themed area. That was the first time I've ever had it, and it's now on our list of places to go eat when we return for our visits.
The Pesto Ravioli sounds SO GOOD!
Okay so I have this weird tradition that I got to pass onto my son last holiday season. But since my very first disneyland visit when I was 6 years old, I always get a pickle and I eat it on the train 😅🥰
I love their Corn Dog from the Little Red Wagon
Golden Horseshoe is a long time attraction and Walt sat in the booth to the right of the stage … I have also seen people bring food from another place (maybe the one you mentioned next door) and sit and enjoy it in the AC and no one says anything…
@provostparkpass thanks for the motivational message. You don't know the day I was having today. I love your videos. Hey to Amanda keep up the good work
❤ all these! The Golden Horseshoe is my go to in Frontierland and the show has hardly changed since Walt was alive - always so enjoyable, and the A/C is a major plus!
When I was a little girl, back in the late 1960s and early 1970s, we ALWAYS went to the Golden Horseshoe Revue to watch the show. (I feel like we needed tickets to get into the show?) It was kind of a Vaudeville type show, The memory that has always stayed with me is the guy that would get hit in the mouth and then he would spit "teeth" out for the rest of the show.
During our last Disneyland trip, we randomly landed at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. It very well could be that it was warm food at the end of a long day, but it was probably one of the best meals I recall enjoying at Disneyland. The seating situation was nice, too. Clean deck/patio seating with views that overlook the water.
@Christa Simon LOL, former cast member here. Trust me, we did it too!
Heck yeah! Hungry Bear is an excellent choice. 👍👍👍
Is there a specific meal you guys recommend?
@@milirodriguez8493 The adults kept it pretty basic with burgers & fries. Our little dude had kid's nuggets and we threw in a toddler mac & cheese for him. As someone else said, most of the options are pretty simple but very well done for theme park food. I do see some chili cheese items on the menu now that I'd be inclined to try if they are still offered when we go back next month.
@@LFGVBE Thank you so much for the reply!I wont be able to go until next year but Im open to just hearing se thoights and opinions since this will be our first time eating at the reply. Thank you for the feedback! That chili cheese sounds real good though!
I worked in Horseshoe back in 2020 for the College Program (yeah, really wasn't lucky on that one), and I have to admit, Horseshoe is one of the better places to eat overall where the food isn't bad and it's reasonably priced compared to the rest of the park.
Just wanted to say that I'm thankful I clicked on your video today because i, ironically, am going through a rough patch and I appreciated your words of encouragement. ❤
You are amazing. 💙💚
An Eggnog funnel cake for the holidays would be sooooooooo awesome
I only have a few people on my hero list whom I’ve never met. You’re one of them, Chris. You model kindness, enthusiasm, respect and caring. Mister Rogers is on my hero list for the same reasons. Subscribed a while ago and just loving your great content. Always uplifting
Hungry Bear & Golden Horseshoe have always been our favs while at Disneyland.
Wish I would have seen this before going to Disney a few months ago. That Ravioli looked tremendous. I like Provost he is such a kind person. Thats why I enjoy watching the rare teaming of Adam the Provost, two very decent people.
Love the Golden Horseshoe! ❤️
The Woody’s Round Up show was our absolute favorite when our children were little - and huge Toy Story fans!
Thank you for all your videos and positive messages! 🤗
I haven't been for ages, but I been craving Disneyland churros like nothing else. I can't wait to go in a few weeks
Nothing really beats the Disneyland pickles. Love those little guys!
Either a Turkey leg at the stand across from big Thunder, or the bread bowl gumbo at Royal Street Veranda!
I have seasonal affective disorder (SAD)…and live in Minnesota! The start of fall, when the days get shorter and cold are really hard for me. Your words of encouragement towards those who are struggling or something is going on really hit me in the feels and uplifts my spirit. Thanks for just being yourself and so genuine. Your videos with friends like Dave, Ludovic, Greg are my favorites. It just reminds me how wonderful a thing your wholesome friendships are. It really uplifts me!
You are awesome 💙💚
Disneyland churro's are a must
Right on the Pizza and Pasta!
I like a late breakfast of funnel cake at Stage Door. They had a strawberry lemon funnel cake earlier this year and it was so good.
Making it to the park after 3 years... coming from Az. We only come a couple days every few years...Ive been watching you for over a year...and now have my Hubby watching your Videos in anticipation of our trip in just over a month... maybe we'll see you there... from an honorary Mom (Mom of 3 grandma to 6)
Our must have is the dipped corn dogs by the front of park.
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta is my favorite go to place! Love the spaghetti and meatballs!
My favorite snack is popcorn and the dole pineapple whip... And they used to have bagged tortilla chips that were really good too , Micky shaped, not sure if they still have them .
my favorite restaurant in Disneyland is Goofy's Kitchen 😋
I always ignored GH Jamboreee and we walked in out of curiosity and it was amazing! Loved the churros and ice cream dessert, and I love how all the floors and stairs are made of pure wood. Very nice!
Bengal Tiger, bacon wrapped asparagus - our family favorite!
Thanks for the golden horseshoe tip! We used it yesterday, as we had lunch and dessert and cooled down.
Dole whip for sure! ❤ hope you have a great day!
I’m going to have such a hard time narrowing down places to eat and food to try while I’m at Disneyland next month with my family. We are only there for 3 days so it doesn’t feel like enough time to try all the foods that look so delicious.
We always always go to Bengal BBQ and Award Weiners. This last time we ate at River Bell Terrace and we’re blown away. It was amazing. We did the Fantasmic dining package and would go back even without that. (The Mac and Cheese was the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had). We also ate at Cafe Orleans but didn’t have the best experience. But River Bell Terrace is on our list of places we will always go back to.
I’m real glad I found you. It’s been ages since I’ve been to Disneyland. A SoCal channel is a great change. 🎉
Red enchilada platter from rancho del zocalo!
I just wanna say that I love the music in Frontierland. 🤠 Also, I have never heard Hocus Pocus music in the park before! Very cool! 🧙♀️
That spaghetti joke was funny! 😂
One of my family’s favorite places to eat in Disneyland is actually The Golden Horseshoe.
Bangal BBQ is my go-to location. It's so good!
