I didn't know about wagons until we were approaching security our first day. The security guy was kind enough to let us stash the wagon at the stroller and wheelchair rental, that day only. Frankly, we were all impressed that our youngest could spend the whole day in Disney and still walk 2-3 blocks to the hotel.
We also didn't know about duct tape. My teenage son has a small roll of black duct tape with him all the time. I told him to leave it in the room, and when we got to security, it was confiscated.

A cast member overheard my hubby and I talking about the line being long at monsters Inc, it was pouring rain, my toddler was sleep in the stroller and my daughter wanted to ride it really bad, she walked up to us and gave us a special pass thaf allowed us to go into a different entrance to the ride and skip the line. Two things I liked that you hit on Chris: being kind to cast members and taking breaks with your family. I know with my kid we have to take a mid day break if we want our trip to go well. I'd rather not to get to go on as many rides rather than us be all cranky because our son got cranky because he was tired. And the cast members truly are amazing! They are human like us and I know I wouldn't want to help someone if they were yelling at me (especially for something I didn't do or have no control over).

I have a disabled son and we take him every year at Christmas and I ALWAYS send a letter to Disney management acknowledging the cast members who helped us, showed us kindness, wished him Happy Birthday, eased a difficult moment, or any other thing. It is usually a long list! We try very hard to show our own gratitude in the moment, but that letter is important to me to send every year. Thanks for keeping us "in the know" with Disney! Me and my family, (party of 7) visited Disneyland the day of you filming the “galactic grill vlog” My little sister was the girl standing at your table watching you while you eat, waiting for you to finish because it saw you were almost done and your huge table was perfect for our party of 7. I remember she called me and my family saying she got a table. My sister ran up to my mom and was so excited and yelled, “I saw provost park pass!! He was sitting at the table before us and talking to his home about how easy it is to order off the mobile app!! I even talked to him! He is so nice!! It really made her day Chris. She even sat at the same chair you did.

These were some great tips you covered Chris. One rule I'd like to point out is the mobile ordering food rather than standby. I was mobile ordering from Red Rose Tavern and something comes up where it won't let me proceed. I went up to a cast member and told them about it and they sent me into the standby queue. Personally, I like to order in the standby queue and it goes smoother. Another rule you hit was treating cast members with respect. They are the magic makers who make our day go by so smoothly. When I saw them last year, I was giving them my hugest love and support and they appreciated it so much.

Cast member's are the best. My mother and i had paid for the special viewing sections for Fantastmic, but we didn't realize that in those areas you had to sit on the ground, due to her knee and back problems this would have been impossible for her to get down and sit on the ground. We had a cast member go above and beyond for us and we were able to sit in the chairs in the VIP section. We were so beyond grateful to this cast member who worked so hard to help us. What could have been a very disappointing evening (and a waste of money), turned out to be a highlight of our trip.

Hi Chris, very nice messages and tips and a great positive influence. Thank you! I'm so guilty of the new shoes one. It was a rainy day with waterproof sneakers and they absolutely weren't waterproof by the end of that day, and ouch.

Wish you did this video 45 years ago. Waited until the last minute to find a pair of shoes for my trip, and they didn't quite fit. I met someone on the beach and we decided to take a short walk. Took a wrong turn and ended up on a 6 hour hike around Bora Bora. We hitched the last couple of miles. There was no skin left on my heels and the backs of my white canvas shoes where red. Your shoe advice is worth its wait in gold.

Totally agree. Especially with the need for breaks. My family has had a terrible time when we push my toddler beyond her nap time. Even we get cranky. The best visits are when we can get a hotel and everyone takes an afternoon siesta.

I thought of another one…and that Tron hat reminded me. You don’t want to embarrass yourself by asking about a ride that doesn’t exist at the park at all or left twenty years ago! “Where’s that new Tron ride they’re building?” “Where’s Harry Potter Land?” Etc. Thanks for the video you’re right on with these pointers.

Chris, thanks for doing all of your videos, I'm planning on going to Disneyland with my fiancé and her 70 + old parents in early January. They have never been there before and I am trying to make sure they have a great time. They have scooters rented already due to walking issues, but your videos are helping to plan the vacation better (Whaaaat!)

Great content Chris. I had my first Disneyland experience last week, and I was on the search for you every single day! I simply wanted to say THANK YOU for all the useful and genuine information. The amount of gratitude I had for your sharing of knowledge was intense. I just knew that if I saw you I would have started crying. You truly meant a ton to me on this trip! A notable experience is when it came to navigating genie plus and telling my family all the secrets and tips they were surprised at how much I knew as it made the experience a spledid time. It was team effort, and for the few days we were their, we felt that we certainly maximized our times at this Magical Place.
P.S. It was two of their birthdays and I treated them to the Tenya Stone Spa (Thank you Amanda). While I was outside waiting, from my memory I remembered that you mentioned something about an amazing Peanut Butter Treat... and to my surprise it was JUST DOWN THE HALL. I walked in and their it was! I enduldge on the Peanut Butter Blondie Treat and I wish I bought more to take back home. I have been craving it every single day!
Interestingly enough we got rained out once each day, and it put a damper on getting to do all the experience that we wanted to do. Rides closed and we are caught in just waiting in a line till the cue started again. What are a few things you think we could have done?

Great video as always Chris! Every time we go to DL/DCA we get the free Disney Visa card member photo taken. My girls would complain & roll their eyes. During the year of a million dreams I stopped to ask a CM where the photo spot was located and after chatting a bit she said “congratulations” and awarded us fast passes for ANY ride for the entire day for all of us. Of course my girls didn’t roll their eyes about that! I said see, it ALWAYS pays to be nice ! 🥰

Excellent advice on all accounts. One of the cast members I always try talk to and praise are the ones that empty the trash cans and those that sweep the walks and streets. I always tell them they have the hardest jobs and the job that most people experience , a clean, clean environment, this included the ones cleaning the restrooms. They are fantastic.
