Main Street USA wasn't just inspired by Walt's childhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri (which also inspired the setting of Lady & the Tramp), but also Fort Collins, Colorado! This is because of Harper Goff who worked for Disney for many years. When he worked on Main Street USA, he showed Walt pictures of his childhood home of Fort Collins, and so Walt wanted to incorporate many of the features from the pictures! He was inspired by the Henry Ford Museum complex in Dearborn as well which he visited twice in the 1940s! And the reason the castle looks small is because of both forced perspective and that Walt wanted a castle that felt less intimidating in size in an effort to feel more welcoming to guests. A special tree that has to do with the construction and opening of Disneyland is the Dominguez Tree in Adventureland. It's a Canary Island date palm that was originally planted in 1896 by the Dominguez family who once owned the orange grove that's now Disneyland. The tree was originally a wedding present given to the grandparents of Ron Dominguez who later sold the grove to WED Enterprises for Disneyland, under the condition that they leave up the palm. Hence why it's there! Ron didn’t leave Anaheim after Disneyland arrived, in fact, he started as a ticket tacker on opening day! He held several positions like vice president of Disneyland! He retired in 1994, and was honored with a window on Main Street!
Thanks for this comment- I forgot about Fort Collins being one of the inspirations! I lived there for a few years and thought of it when I saw Main Street in the video 😄

I’ve come to the conclusion that it is super hard to be allergic to wheat at a theme park maybe more so than it is to be a vegetarian or vegan. But any food allergy or preference is so tough normally! So it can be super frustrating even though Disney does a better job than most but it’s still really hard unless you’re going to a specific restaurant for a sit down meal.
I'm allergic to gluten and I don't eat meat (allergic to red meat)..... it's ROUGH out here. I find the gluten harder to avoid than the meat most of the time.

This is like Keith experiencing Disneyland with teenagers as a parent...and he’s like hating almost everything 😂, or the teacher dealing with students on a class trip! Correcting himself to say "theme park" instead of "amusement park" won me over already, Keith truly is one of us. But the "Best of both worlds. Hannah Montana" at 9:58 when describing the food caught me so off guard...well played. I love New Orleans Square. It wasn't added to the park until 1966! Before New Orleans Square, it was just another part of Frontierland. In fact, it was in New Orleans where Walt got the idea for audio-animatronics when he found a wind-up toy of a bird. Magic Kingdom didn't get New Orleans Square, but Disney World did get Port Orleans Resort. Doritos were invented at Disneyland! Frontierland used to have a restaurant called Casa de Fritos. The tortillas, fresh produce, and meat were supplied to the restaurant by Alex Foods. In the early 1960s, an Alex Foods salesman noticed that Casa de Fritos was tossing unused tortillas in the trash at the end of each day. He suggested that the cook cut the surplus tortillas into triangles, deep fry them, and season them in the style of a Zapotec Mexican snack called totopos. The cook took the salesman’s advice and fried up the first batch of what we now know as Doritos. Frito-Lay didn't know about it until an official visited the restaurant in 1964 and made a deal with Alex Foods to produce them.
24:38 I know that he’s been making food content for a decade, but just in case anyone’s curious: this is the moment where Keith officially became a Food Professional.
this was such a fun video especially for someone who hasn't been at disney (probs never will with how expensive it is) and doesn't have any of their parks close - but the pricing on their food is WILD. they'll charge 4.50$ for a single pickle, 8.50$ for a cup of milk but "only" 13$ for a whole ass turkey leg and around 20$ the chicken dinner/jambalaya/monte cristo???
Distance shouldn't be a deterrent, I had to travel all the way from Australia to visit Disneyland! Even if it was a once in a lifetime thing, I'll always have the memories.
I used to work at the Jolly Holiday Bakery, the raspberry macaron has been one of my favorite desserts in Disneyland since it started being served! Jolly's menu was a lot better before the pandemic, there were a few more options and some items changed seasonally. It used to have some of my favorite lunch items, but the Ronto Wrap has become one of my ultimate favorites!
Here to suggest Keith go back to his roots in Tennessee and do Keith eats everything at Dollywood (the lazy River comment at the very end is what gave me the idea with Dolly Splash 😅) For a lot of people a trip to Pigeon Forge is the closest they’ve ever gotten to Disneyland so I think it would be a fun and interesting time.
To Keith’s point of wanting some bread to go with the skewers - a big “food hack” right now is getting the Cheesy Garlic Pretzel and putting the Bengal BBQ skewers in the middle. Apparently it is fantastic!
A crazy fact about Disneyland: Walt kidnapped Richard Nixon on the monorail! The Disneyland Monorail opened on June 14, 1959, as the first permanent daily-operating monorail system in the Western Hemisphere. The monorail actually opened with a little accident where then Vice President Nixon was abducted onto the monorail by Walt without Nixon's security! The monorail was designed by famed Imagineer Bob Gurr (who designed most of Disneyland's ride vehicles like Haunted Mansion and Autopia). Up until opening day, the monorail would not cooperate with them. Gurr and a German engineer worked tirelessly each night on sketching replacement parts and rushing them to Imagineering in Burbank so they could be built. The day before on June 13, the monorail ran as intended for the first time, but they were still worried for opening day. Gurr was in the pilot's seat, with Nixon's family and Walt on board, but the secret service agents didn't get on board as Gurr left the moment Walt told him to. He was worried, with Walt staring at him, that the monorail would break down and he accidentally kidnapped Nixon. Thankfully, it ran as intended. Not the only Richard Nixon event to happen at a Disney resort, as it was at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Disney World that he made his infamous "I'm not a crook" speech in November 1973.
I have to say, this is one episode i was able to get all the way through and was genuinely invested the entire time. maybe it was the vlog style set up, or the group you were filming with but i thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Keith eats the venue Epcot would be my dream disney park eat the venue. Like imagine if he went at food and wine festival or flower and garden festival.
Food and Wine eat the venue would be so fun omfg
YES! I have been saying this since he started ETM!! He could come out for every festival because they always come out with new treats! Even the cookie stroll during FOTH.
@@stompyduncecap There's a huge night market here in LA that he could test that concept on first. It changes venues but the last one was on the Paramount Studios lot.
That would be incredible!!

So happy Keith got his redemption after Six Flags! Keep the theme park series coming! They are hilarious!
Ok, but did Gepetto recognize Keith?? The way he rubbed his belly and pointed at his face made me this so!
I MUST RE-WATCH THIS TO CATCH THAT. That's great!
I noticed that too and was wondering the same thing!!! I think he did too!
He 100% did
Anyone have a time stamp
He was rubbing his stomach and pointing at Keith's Mickey ears which are food themed.
I love the way Keith describes the flavors of what he’s eating whether he likes it or not!! It shows just how much he really does know about food and cooking. I’d love to see more of him cooking WITH a recipe like we got to see a bit of during the pandemic.
I just love how they randomly asked Keith if he’s team Peeta or Gale. (Obviously team Peeta)
The correct choice

Would LOVE to see Keith hit up all the “fancy”Disney world restaurants. People think Disney just has theme park food, but it’s a foodies paradise.
Let’s get this man into Club 33
Really? I'm going next year. I usually never have the money so I don't buy food there. We're gonna go to animal kingdom and magic Kingdom. What do you recommend?
I just ate at the Chef’s Table at Victoria and Albert’s a few days ago. It was some of (if not) the best food I’ve ever eaten.

Not food in the lazy river 😭
I would honestly pay to watch it with Becky with them just laughing and drinking wine at the sheer chaos please GOD MAKE THIS HAPPEN IN 2024
the camera work, ambience, and setting in this video along with the editing is so beautiful and such a great encapsulation of disney
Just want to say I really like the prices being included, hope that continues!
A Walt Disney WORLD ETM would be crazy. You'd have to do a separate video for each park there, and there are so many restaurants at each park!!
maybe even multi parts per park for some parks lmao since they’re so much bigger and this ep was already almost an hour
The new Cheesecake Factory level video since he did ETM Cheesecake Factory
The World Showcase should be its own video! That, the other 4 parks (because Epcot and the World Showcase are basically two different parks), and maybe one of the water parks?
just eating Epcot would be like a 5 part video hahaha
You'd have to include Disney Springs in that line up too!! I wanna see how Keith reacts to the Gideon's Bakehouse massive cookies!
SO glad you are showing the prices of things. I've wanted to see this on Eat the Menu for ages - and to also see what the total amount is for ordering one of everything.
I'm screaming at the moment around 10:50 at the teacups. "If my girls want a purple cup they get a purple cup!" Hahahahha

Now try to add up all the calories he consumed while on camera.
@@shawnmcmahon3042 i really did want to try with this one but its hard to find exact calories but i tried by estimating, adding by ingredients listed on the menu, and by recipes that looked similar first my estimated total calories if he had eaten everything entirely, and by himself would have added up to 22,448 (i rounded down for most things) the next number is everything i found divided by 4 (shared evenly between the ladies and cameraperson) came to 5,612 and finally from what i saw him eat combined with what I predict he ate or drank off camera (i assume he had a few drinks and more than a taste of the cocktails which are pretty high calorie) i got about 5400 calories. i really did try but i think i rounded to high or too low for some of them let me know what yall think! Yea sometimes you Just want to be entertaint the world is complicated enough
same!! I also watch a lot of crime or medical shows on the regular, which are not the vibe when eating 🤣 the try guys also help me watching ETM or WAR to actually eat my whole meal!
Yesss I’m allergic to wheat too and all of this looks so yum but I know it would kill me 😭
I have celiac. I wouldn’t be able to eat most of this and I’m a massive Disney fan 😭
I'm allergic to gluten and I don't eat meat (allergic to red meat)..... it's ROUGH out here. I find the gluten harder to avoid than the meat most of the time.
keith went through about 1/10 of the food options
As a vegetarian who goes to Disney often enough, I absolutely agree with you. I can’t imagine being gluten free.
The food goblins should definitely take Keith to ALL the waterparks. 😂

Especially with the backpacks and braids with Keith wearing a button up 😂
The teacups sent me 😭💀
This is like Keith experiencing Disneyland with teenagers as a parent...and he’s like hating almost everything 😂, or the teacher dealing with students on a class trip!
Except he twice called it a macaroon when he's even made these in Without A Recipe - MACARON 😂
im so happy they did the 6 Flags video first, really helps to emphasize the food quality at Disney
Keith’s dad outfit (mostly the shirt compared to the ladies’ fun shirts) is giving all the vibes 🤣💜
this was such a fun video especially for someone who hasn't been at disney (probs never will with how expensive it is) and doesn't have any of their parks close - but the pricing on their food is WILD. they'll charge 4.50$ for a single pickle, 8.50$ for a cup of milk but "only" 13$ for a whole ass turkey leg and around 20$ the chicken dinner/jambalaya/monte cristo???
Thanks for this comment, I was curious about some of the prices. Seems they removed them from the video, I'm watching a day later than you.
Because Disneyland is in California where pricing is higher, I will say I’ve found Disney world to be ever so SLIGHTLY cheaper

Here to suggest Keith go back to his roots in Tennessee and do Keith eats everything at Dollywood (the lazy River comment at the very end is what gave me the idea with Dolly Splash 😅)

I just tried it last week and it was! A great hack, very savory and flavorful
