When I was a kid my family and I were riding pirates of the Caribbean and when we passed by the blue bayou my dad shout out "aye throw me a roll!" To his surprise somebody actually did and it landed in the water.
hey guys! loooong time fan. I love your guys content especially as a Disney lover who hasn't been in a long time. I'm 21 and was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease :( I would absolutely love if you guys did a Disney gluten free video as I'm trying to go as a college graduation present! :) love you guys
Disney/Ca has been really good about having gf/dairy free options, in my experience. You might have to ask or maybe it might even say on their website.
My son is celiac, too. He likes the pizza at the Red Rose Tavern in Fantasyland, but also loves the carne asada tacos at Rancho del Zocalo. I know they have GF hot dog buns at the Refreshment Corner and hamburger buns at the Galactic Grill, but he hasn't tried them yet. For sit down places, just let the server know you would like a gluten free menu. You can even talk to the chef. He hasn't ever had any problems with cross-contamination as Disney does a really good job keeping any gluten products separate. Hope this helps!
I bet you Justin from Randomland has a video on that as he has Celic as well. I am sorry that is a hard diagnosis. Also on the Disneyland app it says on the menu what the options are 😉 hope that helps
Mig Vee! You got my ultimate Blue Danube meal!! Jenelle! As the Princess of Food, you need a terraria and a scepter!! You 2 are the best! KEEP EATING!!
Love love love you guy's content! My favorite rides at Disney are Pirates of the Caribbean the Haunted Mansion and the old school submarine ride. My favorite Attraction forever will always be the tiki room. Haven't been home in Cali for 7 years now so thank you so much for the flood of good and happy memories. 💚🖤💚🖤
I watched a lot of your videos, I think this is the first one I watched. It changed my mind about trying out Blue Bayou, my husband and I will be celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary soon, we have reservations for this place. So excited, thank you, learned a lot of good info.
Great Blue Bayou video. I enjoyed it. Nostalgic for me because in 1967ish I worked there as a busboy for a year and a half. I moved on to become a Tomorrowland ride operator...but the Blue Bayou was the best place to work. At that time they had 3 strolling violinists everyday. They did have the Monte Christo and everything came with a fat buttery slice of cheese bread. Otherwise menu is completely new. I can't wait to go back again.
We finally got out Blue Bayou reservations for the LAST day of our Magic Key lol...8:50pm , nice way to end the day We haven't been there since before the closures...
❤ Means nothing to others, but hubby and I rode the Natchez Steam Boat ( pre-Katrina) sipping Hurricanes down the Mississippi River. Such a good memory. Perfect weather, strong drinks.
The first time I had the monte cristo at the blue bayou… I have been dreaming of it ever since! For me it’s my favorite food item in the entire park!!!!!
Whenever I go to the Blue Bayou, I always ask for a water table, and it usually doesn’t take much longer to get than a non-water table, so there’s a little tip for if you’re going to the BB and want a water table. Just ask when you check in for a water table. They may tell you that it’ll take 30-40 minutes, but it actually doesn’t. They just say that because they want everyone to ask for a water table. Btw, the menus always had the lights.
@@dannyrodriguez3614 you can try going up and getting on the waitlist, but best way is making reservations on the Disneyland app. They become available at 6am PST 60 days before
Have you guys ANY idea how great your videos are and how much I love them? Well they are and I do! I am playing catch up on your videos since I am a newer subscriber, but I look forward to each and every one. THANK YOU!
Great video as always and I got reservations for blue bayou tomorrow night at 6 pm. Just happen to check and I lucked out. That hurricane is a must try now.
The only time I’ve eaten there we got to sit by the water (our anniversary). We’re back there for D23 weekend but can’t find any reservations… I’m sad. Great video!! Can’t wait to visit next month!
You both are so enjoyable to watch and listen to! My family and I dined here so many times. Then my parents passed away and my sister and I moved to different areas from each other. But we'll always treasure our memories of the Blue Bayou.
Reality check..back in late/early 1980's/90's. Blue Bayou served microwave dinners as a fancy meal, I know from experience(s). Not sure when they decided to go upscale, but so happy to see the food is awesome now :) Great video..can't wait to go back.
Whoa. Crazy to see my niece (and my shoulder) in a video! I saw that you were filming and didn't want to disturb you two, but I wanted to say thank you for all of the videos. Especially the food videos! I will probably need a couple days to recover from the food coma this trip put me into!
Im a chocolate lover myself but the perfect crem bruleé can change my mind in an instance! All the foods looks sooooo good. You two have such good style! Love watching your videos love your channel
Love the Blue Bayou! The one time we were able to sit by the water people in almost every boat were screaming stupid things at the tables next to the water. When you mentioned diners throwing their bread at the boats it made me wonder if they were trying to get us to throw bread at them!!!
Haunted Mansion is defintely my favorite! And I love that the do an overlay for Christmas in Disneyland! I have never seen it, but plan to someday soon.
Even if you can’t get a reservation try just walking up and see if they have availability. My husband and I did that right when they opened up and only had to wait 10-15 minutes. Doesn’t hurt to try.
Any Blue Bayou related content is a video I cannot miss! I love seeing the Blue Bayou! It has been years and I enjoy seeing the latest dishes available at that lovely restaurant. Great content!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🤩
Ok you're convincing me I need to try for a reservation when I'm in the parks in December. I wasn't sure if I would feel awkward going alone to a fancy-ish restaurant but it looks so good!
Fantasmic is my fave night show! I think my fave ride at DL is Big Thunder, also Indiana Jones.. but my absolute fave ride is Cars! And l love doing the single rider! Wish DL had more single rider rides!
I've never been to the Blue Bayou but I've always wanted to go and sit by the water and see the attraction go by. I really wanted to go back in 2019 when they were serving Hot Chocolate Beignets for the holidays but the restaurant was booked. I really hope they'll bring them back. They looked so delicious. When I do go to Blue Bayou, I really want to try the chicken gumbo and the chicken jambalaya. 😋 My favorite ride at Disneyland is Space Mountain. It's my all-time favorite ride.
I’m so grateful you guys reviewed Blue Bayou again! My family and I always share and watch your videos together before we go to Disneyland so we know what munchies to get. We got a reservation for this in September and now we have a little glimpse of what’s on the menu so, thank you!
My kids and I LOVE watching you both! Our favorite ride has got be Big Thunder Mountain Railroad🎢 Thank you for bringing the Disney Magic into our homes!
Was introduced to the Hurricane drink back in 2010 while working in Boston and it's been my favorite ever since! Thanks go out to the wait-staff at the Embassy Suites Porter's Lounge near the Logan Airport, for making me feel so comfortable during my month long stay there some 3000 miles from home! Thank you Magic Journeys for bringing back such a wonderful memory!
Awwwwwe! This is so sweet!! Was able to enjoy the restaurant for the first time in January with my boyfriend and we got water side seating as well (,,,: The most magical experience! Glad you guys were able to enjoy and had me drooling the whole time.
Can’t wait for my First visit to Disneyland. You guys have helped show me what to eat and what to avoid. I’m a foodie so you guys definitely helped narrow down the countless options there are for food. Thank you so much!!!
Hey! This could not have come at a better time. We are set to go today and finally eat there!!! Thank you guys for all the recommendations. SO many good treats we have had so far on this vacation.
What great Disney magic on the cast members part seating you by the water. That is a crazy story about the bread service. I love bread with a good meal. That would just be crazy to not have it. Hopefully they bring it back. The Fava Bean Pasta that Jannelle had looked good. The ambience in there is just lovely. Thank you for taking us along. ~Ali 🎀🏰💖
Love it! My boyfriend and I are going in September for our 5 year anniversary and we’ve been dying to go to Blue bayou but I could never get a reservation until this upcoming trip! Finally! I’m definitely going to attempt a table by the water thanks for the tip! Favorite ride: incredicoaster
Thank you for sharing your dining experience with us. Last time I ate there was 20 years ago (no lighted menus nor cellphone lighting for that matter), but I did manage to score a reservation for BB this September so am really looking forward to it, especially after seeing your vlog. 🙏 Favorite rides are Pirates (got to walk through part of the ride during CM training…very cool) and Haunted Mansion (literally my home away from home as a former cast member there decades ago), and the wildest ride in the wilderness thunder mountain. 😍
You guys never disappoint with your videos I got all my family to watch them my parents even meet you guys ! Your content is phenomenal ! I actually got excited when I saw you were dining at the blue bayou!! Its my to 5 restaurants I've been to we used to go in the 80- 90s its good to see its better then ever! Thank you for taking me back to happier times! I miss my late husband.😇😇
This is my favorite restaurant. Used to come here for lunch and dinner back in the day when you were able to walk up before the restaurant opened and make lunch and dinner reservations. My favorites were the Monte Cristo sandwich for lunch and prime rib for dinner. Getting a table by the water is really neat and if tables were available all you needed to do was to ask and the host/hostess would do their best to get you seated as close to the water. Was in Walt Disney World in 2019 (my 12th visit) and we booked all our dining reservations and rides 30 to 60 days prior to our arrival. Also used the free Magical Express bus from the airport to the hotel and that was so convenient. Disney didn't renew the contract for the free shuttle bus, but other bus companies have fee-based shuttle services from the airport to the Disney properties. Hadn't been to Orlando for nine years before my 2019 trip and I forgot how huge and how spread out the different parks were, and I got a 7-day park hopper ticket with no restrictions. The original pirate ride at Disneyland is still the best with its 2 waterfall drops. The ride in Orlando has only one drop and no Blue Bayou restaurant. The key for Disney is to plan ahead and make those reservations for meals and attractions as soon as you can as standing in long lines is not what anyone wants to do
I agree, Blue Bayou is something to experience even if only once. The gumbo is yummy & the creme brulee is delicious, as is the chocolate cake - not sure if they still offer it.
Thank you, guys for the extremely enjoyable visit to my favorite restaurant. You got a table right on the water which is a plus and it was a great selection of dishes you chose for the viewer to get a good idea of how Blue Bayou has updated their menu (and prices 😳). My mouth was watering as you both dug into your entrées so I got out my own "poor man's" lunch--sardines, sauerkraut, and bread soaked in plenty of German mustard and indulged right along with you. Afterward it was fun to tour the little shop filled with glass figurines. Janelle, you definitely looked like a princess in that tiara. I hope Mig bought it for you 🥰. Looking forward to checking out more of your magic journeys. Till next time.
Great video guys! Blue Bayou is a place I've been wanting to try and thanks for the tips on how to dine at this restaurant. The chicken gumbo looks really good and that will be the first thing I try when I dine at that restaurant. Your channel has been so informational and tons of fun!! Thank you for all the information on the food at Disneyland! I look forward to much more Disney food content.
My uncle used to work at that restaurant for 35 yrs. He passed away 10+ yrs ago and idk why but I thought of him and disneyland alot today.
When I was a kid my family and I were riding pirates of the Caribbean and when we passed by the blue bayou my dad shout out "aye throw me a roll!" To his surprise somebody actually did and it landed in the water.
I love how Janelle judges every dessert by how it compares to the Darth by Chocolate. 😂💯
Hahaha 💯
I'm calling Blue Bayou to see if they will drone a piece of that Creme Brulee over to me this minute. 🤤
Awwww! My husband proposed at the blue bayou, we were sitting at a water front table. Watching this hit all the feels🥰
