"Racism is not dead, but it is on life support; kept alive by politicians, race hustlers, and those who feel a sense of superiority by denouncing others as racists." -Thomas Sowell

In the world that often seeks to enhance ignorance, racism has become an industry, with the top players being politicians, activists and university professors

After a while the "institutional racism" narrative became a "mantra" recited, more than explained. When I hear the term it reminds of a deteriorated education system that seeks "inclusion" by simply lowering the bar and considering past injustices as more important than education itself.

People can debate racism all they like - but to state authoritatively that systemic racism exists is intellectually dishonest. Matters of debate simply cannot be stated as fact.

But there are discrimination within systems in our government like blacks receive on average higher sentencing than whites for similar crimes. A economist done extensive research and found that blacks are more likely than whites to get hands put on them than whites.

Most people tend to gravitate toward their own race wether it's where you live, people you work either. Even in prison. But there are usually some that blend comfortably with other races. They are usually openly welcome.

Yes, ethnocentrism is a characteristic of humanity and animals too. Over human history, many countries emerged, maybe for reasons that we may study more to become knowledgeable in this topic.
Nothing evil at all, we tend to be comfortable with our “families”, and over the past century our western cultures, in particular, have interacted more and more, and made great strides in helping us become more comfortable with ethnic and racial differences and more comfortable with the diversity.
Still, we have choice to associate with whoever we wish and, by evidence, humans choose to be closer to individuals with similar interests, achievements and cultures.

Race mattered a lot pre civil rights and even years after but now it doesn’t matter.
Conservatives cry that people are misinformed but when people attempt to implement the “truth” the about our history that oppressed a certain race then conservatives say we don’t need to talk about race.
To me it’s like we pushed you back psychologically, financially, economically etc because of your race but we don’t need you to remind us of that and forget about race and just pull yourself up.

true for long ago, but not today so unless you are 110 doesn't apply.. and if you want to feel sorry for someone, try feeling sorry for the Indians as they had it much worst and you do not hear them complaining nearly as much. So tired of hearing we have to make up for wrong doing of people from so long ago..

@@russoley8995 You do know there are people alive that lived through Civil Rights? You do know that there was still move in violence against blacks happening up into the late 80s. You do know there was targeting of blacks during the War on drugs during the 80s. You do know welfare specifically targeted black families sending agents to ensure no man was in the homes. You really think that when the civil rights act was signed ALL discrimination ended abruptly?
There was over 300 years of abuse and psychological manipulation, oppression against one group and less than 70 years of being “equal.”
Race mattered for 400 years in this country but all of a sudden it doesn’t matter. And no Indians didn’t have it worse and they were given land. Once Africans came we were the PRIMARY target. You really think Indians don’t complain?
