    Here because of Bethany’s channel and I’m glad I’m here. Already tried the last two without the band and can feel the engagement of the abs. Can’t wait to go to the gym and try it out there with bands!

    I watched this because I recognized Bethany and I love her channel... but my midwife wants me to close up my diastasis recti before I get pregnant again... so maybe I should actually try some of these exercises! I can never seem to work out my core without the tenting thing that means I’m doing it wrong. Anyway, thanks for sharing Ben!

      Hi! Just wanted to say, if you have diastasis recti you have to do specific exercises to treat it, otherwise you could hurt yourself, there are multiple videos here on RUclips for it :)

    I’m recovering from ankle surgery and have been pretty demotivated to workout since I’m so limited to non-weight bearing exercises.
    Thank you for this plank variation (no weight on the ankles!). Using a foam roller is such a good idea. I can’t wait to try this

      @@BenCrosswhite finally had a chance to do this at the gym a few times now and can report no ankle pain! 😊
      I’ve been so bummed that I couldn’t work out the way I’ve wanted while recovering from my injury. This was a game changer. A million thank yous! ❤️❤️❤️

    Ben, are these moves safe for Diastasis recti? I know working on the transverse abdominus is helpful for healing it but wondering this these excercises in particular would be ok in your opinion. Thanks!

      Absolutely safe for you to do. I would start the foam roller closer to your knees and progress as you get stronger. Of course if something doesn’t feel quite right then you need to talk with your doctor or PT before continuing. Let me know how it goes!

    Bethany looks amazing, however, the title is misleading. Please be aware that there are no exercises that target fat loss in specific areas. Fat loss happens all over and mainly due to diet and less because of working out. Very disappointed when people manioulate with video titles like this 🙄☹😖😫

      Unless the title was altered, fat loss isn't even mentioned. And strengthening the TA can absolutely have a slimming effect on the waist.

    Hi! I was wondering if this workout works for appleshaped women. I am 5'1 and 110lb but I carry my fat on my handles and inner things and it's super hard to develop my butt. Can you help me?

      Absolutely! Check out our other video on the top 3 glute exercises. Body fat is also a combination between strength training, diet, and being metabolically active. While they are a big help, doing these workouts alone won’t get you the results you’re looking for.

      Yes, I feel like I am good on the other areas. I was just doing too much cardio and not eating enough. Also, I wasn't focused on the glutes it was more leg. I will definitely add the exercises to my routine! Thanks!

    I tried the rolling plank on my foam roller but it’s really painful on the shins… how is this movement made comfortable?

      What you’re feeling is your anterior tibialis muscle which is not bad to foam roll even if pain is present. You can try turning your feet in slightly to relieve it or getting a softer foam roller or even putting a pad on top

    There's no workouts to get a slimmer waist unless you have fat stored there which you can lose by eating less calories.

      Not accurate. One of the main functions of the TA is to hold the contents of your abdominal cavity IN the abdominal cavity. If you have a weak TA, it won't do that job effectively which can cause those contents to protrude. Strengthen the TA can absolutely slim your waist by forcing everything back in to the abdominal cavity where it belongs.

      You can find info on the purpose of any muscle in any complete human anatomy and physiology book. Obviously this would include info about the TA and it's action in the body.
