Prayer of St Francis - Todd Rice, Pianist & Arrangement

When I was a teenager, I found The Prayer of St. Francis on the box of the incense I used to burn during meditation. The prayer moved me tremendously, and I have attempted to practice it in my life, in my own small way, each day.
The melody of this hymn consists of constant plodding quarter notes. During my improvisations, I opted for a syncopated hook and a joyful flutter of Mozartean scales that evoke the feeling of birds in flight. Enjoy!
