In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through a standing Pilates workout using only body weight for added resistance.
This exercise is a "Barre" inspired routine which targets areas of the body that help you do squats, lunges and/or sit ups. These are low impact movements using only your body weight and are tailored more towards an intermediate level of fitness. If this is too much of a challenge for you at this time, you can always switch to our seated version as well.
Remember to only do movements that you are comfortable with and that don't cause any pain or discomfort. Take breaks when you need to and be sure to keep your water close by.

Gosh my hips were having a good clunk clink on some of those exercises!! This reminded me of my nieces when they stayed a few weeks ago. I went to see what they were doing and they were in my hallway using a handrail doing "ballet"... aged nearly 14 and 10, have never done ballet or dance classes but still showing life they can have fun. Maybe I will have to join them in the handrail next time and show them this video!

This is a wonderful pilates workout. Meredith, I am guessing you have been a ballerina-your movements remind me of ballet dances.

Thanks Meredith _ due to sore joints from arthritis I can’t do the heel raise ones _ is it okay to just do one leg at a time despite not being able to get right up?
Yes, you can do single side heel raise. Keep up the great work!
