- This video was made in the honor of Tom Brier's 51st birthday, this video was uploaded on October 3rd, Tom's birthday.
I tried to replicate the clothes Tom wore during one of his performances of Just Peachy on RUclips.
The watch is a black Casio F91-W with a Twist O Flex made from stainless steel.
In case you haven't noticed, I am possibly Tom's biggest fan.
This piece of Tom was in my opinion actually really simple compared to some of his other stuff, not to brag but even I got the entire thing memorized after just one day.
Though there was a lot of practice, the hours leading up to this recording I was constantly playing this piece driving myself crazy trying to get it under my fingers.
The artwork of Tom Brier in the background is made by Yashizuna.
Recorded on the 2nd of October in 2022, one day before his birthday using a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and an LG G5.
I did actually record audio via a 3,5mm cable to my Zoom H1n but I ended up using the cameras audio instead since it sounded better and more natural. Видеоклипы
Tom will be so proud of this performance! I’ll forward it along to his family to show him.
I freaked out when I saw that you commented on my video.
Actually I'm such a huge fan of Tom I don't feel like I'm ready for him to see my video.
Still, what an honor!! 😅
@@Tarzoq Trust me. He’ll love it.
Lovely❤️ You’re so talented 👏 only 18 and play like you never done anything else. But I know that you have learned all by your self👏 I hope that Tom Brier will see your performance. Love, grandma😍
Sluta aldrig spela🤩🎼🎹
Very beautiful. It was played with a mix of humility and bravery.
Love your playing style. Really gets pretty close to Tom's!
Happy Birthday 🎂 Tom Brier
Thanks, that is my ultimate goal. There's just something about his playing style that sounds so good to me. 🎂
SO clean 🔥🔥u did this justice
Wow! This is one talented Swedish fella. Good job my friend 😊👍
Love and friendship from Canada.
Nice and bouncey really fun to listen to!
this goes hard🔥🔥🔥
Wow.. you nailed it !! Your touch makes a great song sound even better.. All my best, JIm
Thank you! My touch is me trying to mimic Tom's style to the best of my abilities.
I spent about 40 minutes in a row trying to get the "perfect" recording, it never happened and this video happened 12 minutes in. Now in hindsight I am very happy with the result, I just didn't realize it at the time.
I hope everything's going well with you!
All that practice does pay off.
Great playing Tarzoq! I also love your attention to detail with the clothes. In general I feel like the quality of your recordings have gone up tremendously in a short time.
I had no idea today was Tom’s birthday.
Thanks!! I wanted to make this video special, originally I wanted this video to be showed to Tom.
I want to upload videos that are high quality, and with a few more angles than other videos.
I actually had forgotten it was Tom's birthday, I found it out when Anthony said he was going to Tom's birthday party on Discord.
Very nice! Tom would be proud
Crushed it! You're so good!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Love the watch. Nice job!!
Amazing job!
Great job man! Can't wait to learn this one!
Thank you! If you understand and are capable to play thick octave chords, then this one shouldn't be to hard. I certainly had a blast learning it.
Very beautiful 😍
Thank you very much, I am glad you enjoyed it!
This is a really nice version! You have the right groove and “bounce” for this kind of music. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, my pleasure! I enjoy Tom's style so much it's basically the only thing I ever listen to. So I must've acquired the "Brier feel" expansively over time.
By the way, I was flabbergasted when I saw that you had commented.
Wow!!!!!!
That was impressive! I loved your playing and your message!
Cheers to our idol!
❤
awesome !!!
Thanks!
Happy birdtay Tom we love you
Very nice you play very well
This is really awesome dude! Tom would be really proud. I could hear him laughing in spirit🤣.
❤
Very nice. Tom's music is not easy to play. Great rendition. Totally enjoyed listening.
Thanks! I personally found this tune to be easier than most of Tom's works. Though it still required practice :D
I am glad you enjoyed it!
@@Tarzoq If you want a challenge try Elephant Tracks. Happy practicing!
Oh brilliant! You genuinely got this spot on. Happy birthday Tom!
I gave it my best shot, I exhausted myself for 40 minutes trying to get the "perfect" take, which I have found out, does not exist. I have definitely learned my lesson.
That has also been my experience in the recording studio. Also, I seldom play anything the same way twice, which makes editing two or more takes difficult. So my few commercial recordings have been about picking the best version of a tune with no editing, excepting the second album which is live.
That's a great approach. I also like doing it that way because it's authentic, that it's human.
I just noticed that some of Brier's top fans are in the comment section✊❤
He's even using a casio watch
Wow, very nice performance! Sounds very "tom-ish"!
Thanks! That's what I'm always going for.
Sounds awesome! Though I would've loved to hear the audio from the Zoom, the phone audio sounds a bit lacking in the clarity that line output has
I can send it to you on discord if you want hear. Though that way will have to wait till tomorrow.
I'd love to hear your opinion on it, I didn't really like it.
@@Tarzoq Discord would be perfect :D
Maravilhoso. Pode me passar a partitura? Obrigado.
Amazing. Sheetmusic? Tanks. Brazil.
Hello Brazil, I would love to share the sheet music with you but it's copyrighted and we don't know for sure if Tom would like to have his sheet music distributed. You could join the Tom Brier Discord if you haven't already and ask for it there. Best of luck!
Nice playing! What is the piano?
Much obliged! The piano is a Roland LX705 (digital).
please play spasmodic rag!
Currently I have other pieces I am trying to learn but Spasmodic sure is on my list.
How did you self-teach yourself?
This might sound cliché, but honestly, develop a huge passion and practice. :D Lots of it.
