- Another beautiful tune by Tom, simple but just breathtaking.
This is another piano out of the 3 acoustic pianos at my school, and since I am graduating soon, I don't have much time left.
There'll most likely be one more video coming out on the third piano, for which I haven't decided yet what I will play.
Recorded on the 11th of May in 2023 (day of upload) just before 8 in the morning at my school, using a Samsung Galaxy S23, S7 Edge and a Zoom H1n.
This is a german Sauter piano apparently produced in 1912.
I feel that this piano seems more fitting with softer tunes like this, I have played ragtime on it before, but it just doesn't feel right. :D Видеоклипы
Tom would be so proud of this performance. 💜💚🖤 Please keep up the excellent work!
❤
Thank you for your heartfelt comment! It means a lot to me that you believe Tom would be proud of my performance. That's truly a wonderful compliment and motivates me to keep striving for excellence. I'll do my best to continue honing my skills and delivering performances that honor the spirit of Tom's music. Your support and encouragement are invaluable, and I sincerely appreciate them. Thank you again for your kind words and for believing in me.
Beautiful
Playing is first class as always, keep this up!!
Thanks! I am always striving to be better.
Well done!!!!
Thank you!!
Another very enchanting performance, for an equally enchanting piece. The audio is a bit distorted here and there, which is a pity, but the recording is great! I can tell that you put in a lot of care into playing this. :)
Thank you, long time no see!! I used a limiter to increase the volume, which is a field I don't have much experience in. I didn't see the audio distort at any time but it might be possible that the volume gain on the mic was a bit too loud.
As for this piece I think it's absolutely breathtaking, it's very simple yet magical.
@@Tarzoq Yeah I definitely agree! Long time no see indeed! (though I have uploaded 1 new vid on my channel in the meantime). I think the limiter ended up compressing the audio due to the gain, which is a pity. If you had a separate compressor or if you could properly edit the audio in a DAW, that'd improve the sound tremendously.
7 subs left to the magic 500!
make it 6
@@T-MOBeats :D
It has been stuck on 1 sub now over the last few days! 🤣😂
あなたの演奏が大好きです❤
素晴らしい音楽を届けてくれてありがとうございます。🗻🇯🇵
Judging only by the output from Google Translate, I am very much obliged! 😊🇸🇪
This one is wonderful, is the same upright you sent me a recording of yourself playing razor blades on? I can tell it has some bobbling hammers and whatnot, it sounds awesome though, I like mechanical imperfections. There's some weird distortion or buzzing, was the sheet music desk vibrating? I'll be honest, those goofy little sheet music desks on German pianos are probably one of the dumbest things I've ever seen other than birdcage actions on very old german and british pianos.
I believe the recording you are talking about was recorded on a different piano at my school, which I will be uploading a video on in the future. This piano feels absolutely amazing to play on, it produces a beautiful sound.
As for the buzzing or distortion you are talking about, I think might be something with me using a limiter on the audio during editing. Or it might be the drums in the background (where I used a strainer to minimize the rattling noise).
@@Tarzoq Ah, the drums! Was it a snare drum? Snares typically have a lever that drops the rattle springs, highly suggested when recording pianos as the noise from a vibrating snare is just about the most repulsive and disruptive known to musicians and recording engineers alike!
@@PiotrBarcz I did pull that lever, which was apparently called a strainer. Though, I just thought, do you think it can the piano itself, perhaps something with the soundboard?
@@Tarzoq Sound board could be it but that's with old pianos, not knew uprights. I think it's the music desk, no offense to Swedish manufacturing but most countries in europe go for the rather stupid (and I mean the dumbest ever) choice of building the pianos with those pitifully small sheet music desks with hinges, it's just asking for trouble with vibrations! If the screws are loose on the desk, that's what's causing the noise, tightening them helps a lot
@@PiotrBarcz That could be it, thought I never noticed any sound from there. What I also don't like about those music desks is that I can't fit as many pages on it. Plus you need to remove the sheet music before closing the lid.
