- I was quite stressed to get this one recorded since usually the place is busy. And because of this, I 'believe' I heavily failed an exam I had right before this video was recorded.
Recorded on the 20th of April in 2023 (day of upload) during the morning hours at my school, using a Samsung Galaxy S23 & S7 Edge.
The Zoom H1n was recording and can be seen in the video, but I went with my phone's audio instead because I liked the sound of the room, which wasn't really captured by the H1n.
The keys on this piano need more force than usual grand pianos, which means louder strings, which means that playing quietly in those quiet parts was a bit more difficult. Then there was also a few keys that were out of tune, including the lower F which I remarked in the video. The pedal also felt a bit unusual and was quite loud which can be heard in the recording.
Anyway, it was still an honor to play on this very special Yamaha Grand Piano, I've had a lot of fun playing on it during my time there. Видеоклипы
Really lovely playing. Thank you for sharing Tom's music. Such a gifted composer.
Beautiful playing, and I love all the ☀️light! I just subscribed to your channel yesterday.
Good job! 👍🏻
I appreciate it!
This just great!
It's not always tom's fast pieces, he has wonderful slow pieces too🔥
I think i should also learn a slow one 😂
His slow ones are absolutely wonderful, and if you want to quickly learn a slow Tom piece I advise you to look into Sunlight and Shadow. Good luck!
You've got an easy touch. Tom would've Grined! Thanks. That sounds like someone in a bread line somewhere; what would be rolling around insid of them. Rough times and worries!
Ååååå SÅ VACKERT❤️ Så himla fin klang i flygeln i din skola - Rönneskolan❣️ DU ÄR EN SUPERDUKTIG PIANIST👏🤩😍 Du mitt ÄLSKADE BARBARN❣️ Såååå stolt över dej💖
Oh beautiful! You've got this one down wonderfully. And that's quite a piano!
Thank you! It is a very beautiful piece, and yes, that's quite a piano. It's a Yamaha grand piano, but it has very unique sound I have never heard from another piano.
Great vid! Love the editing, but above all I love the playing itself. You really managed to get a lovely sound out of this piano. :)
For some reason I feel like the third strain sounds a bit like what Max Keenlyside would write.
Also, it’s a pity you failed an exam/were so nervous. It happens to best of us. I hope you don’t have to redo the exam/hope that it won’t have any serious repercussions.
Couldn’t you have combined the audio from both the Zoom and your phone? I did a similar thing in my rendition of ambivalence.
This is beautiful! I think I recognize you 🤔
Ah, jolly good! Pray tell, my acquaintance, I do indeed recognize your countenance. Verily, your visage stirs the memory of our past encounters. Aye, it appears our paths have crossed ere now, and I doth recollect thy presence. 'Tis a pleasure to once again make thine acquaintance in this moment of fortuitous reunion.
Wow! That was simply amazing! I hope you can recoup the exam. Keep posting!!
Thanks! Good news, I actually did pass the exam, I'll be sure to keep posting!
Nice playing as always, I was wondering when you'd put out a new video!
I have been thinking about that too, and I felt it was about time now. This was recorded at my school, which I am graduating from this summer. I remember when I first attended this school that I wanted one day to upload at least one video while I still could. I'm glad I was able get this one in time.
@@Tarzoq I'm glad you did too, this is great!
Very beautiful! And well played. Will you record Balderdash and Elephant Tracks someday as well?
Thank you! We'll see about that, this summer I wanted to get into learning Redneck Rag. But I definitely want to learn those in the future.
Heavy action? Yeah, those are always a problem for me, the piano sounds fantastic though! I see you can now finally reach tenths, 1:12 is a good example!
This piano is probably better suited for ragtime, since it is played louder overall. Yes I can just about reach tenths now, I finally "mastered it" from playing this tune. The only tenths I'm having trouble with that I will probably never to reach because of my hand size is the longer ones like Ab to C or Eb to G.
@@Tarzoq Right now it looks like you'd struggle with C to E flat but you should grow into that easily, D major and above is tricky though. I can't quite get flat minor tenths, I can sort of use them but I can hardly play them loud enough to be heard... a flat to C I'll keep dreaming about xD
