I first listened to SOAD when I was 16; at 41 now, they're still the best band I have ever heard, period. Every album, every song, not one bad one. Straight up. 💯
I remember when this album came out. My step dad owned a small music shop and this album came in by mistake and he gave it to me. I listened to it front and back. Amazing album
@@BillyAtwood1216 lol are you trying to be funny? the Seattle scene of the 90s literally started the modern trope of hipsters. the term itself started in the 1940s .... buddy.

This is and will always will be my absolute favorite SOAD song. The self titled album gets SOOOOOOO unfairly overshadowed by Toxicity. Now don't take me wrong, Toxicity is JUST as good and arguably better. But that first album captured a heavier more unhinged and does more random musical explorations, transitions and all that
Lol! I remember this song being played on the radio constantly when it first came out and I pretty much had to listen to it throughout my freshman year in high school.
You should try some Sepultura fom Brazil. Here some great songs - Roots bloody roots - Territory - Refuse/resist - Attitude - Slave New World - Ratamahatta
@@ShadowDW well... Im brazillian and i don't know BioTech is Godzilla, i'll check It out! But Sepultura is Sepultura, with ou without Cavaleras! No hate, Just respect and gratitude for this Band :)

With any other band if heard them singing about Kombucha mushroom people you’d assume that you’d misheard the lyrics, with System it’s totally expected!!! Great stuff 😊
@@heffatheanimal2200 I will only speak for myself, but I took many things for granted back then. Working on understanding the lyrics from damn near everything now
just an opinion, but please dont do Chop Suey, or any songs you know well. Love the channel but reactors reacting to songs they already know = immediate bail.

I don't think you've had the band Nemophila on your channel yet, but they did a cover of this that's as wild as the original. They're an all-woman metal band from Japan. I'd say they have a greater range in styles than their peers.

System of a Down is the band that when you ask your mom what does metal sound like to her this is what it sounds like
All of their debut album is unadulterated fire

Sepultura is an amazing look at what people expect metal to be. I think they are some of the best of their time and still rank very highly for me now.
Cigaro next.
lol that would be hilarious

Never saw the lyrics back in the day, so I just thought he saying something insane like "Poop ...if I leave you."
Her facial expressions get me everytime 😂
Their first album is their best without doubt this track is tame compared to the end of the album
