Eric, thanks this gave me inspiration to do electric trim. I used a cheaper actuator with a cable, it's not as fast as yours. I'm wanting to have the reverse also controlled by an actuator motor. Instead of a switch use a hand brake like the throttle setup you have. Not only for reverse but also use it like a brake. Any thoughts or ideas on doing something like that? The linear actuator motors are too slow so I'm thinking some kinda screw rail paired with a high torque motor. It's a Southern Jet 4"travel reverse. Thanks brother, also wish that you that 🥇spot on the race circuit this season.
Thanks for the how to info. I’m using the single lever SSS and southern jet trim nozzle on a 773. It works awesome and takes very little effort to operate. The lever holds in place when trimmed up or down. My complaint is the center screw holding the lever keeps loosening. Do you have that same issue with yours?
@@JollyRoger907 how did you route them cleanly from the wheel though without being in the way while turning? I think a dash rocker would be better for me…my 9 month daughter loves being on the boat and pulls on anything she can get her hands on lol. Her favourite is the stop lanyard bungie
@@SailingLittleGooseBC you gotta do some tests with steering wheel throw to make sure it works freely, then I typically put a loop in the wire below the wheel. Another option is a coiled wire but I couldn’t find one that I wanted!

I like the instantaneous input of a handle & cable for the reverse. It has saved my ass multiple times coming around corners to log jams, rocks etc

How do you route the wires to the switch?
They go through the transom with a sealable grommet type deal then all the way up the gunwale to the bow and out through the dash.
