great video man, really like how straight to the point you were. you are by far my fav pc build video creator out there. your channel is entirely the reason i run ITX (i actually have the NZXT H1 V1, modified with exhaust fans) and love it. keep up the excellent videos!
True true.
Bro ur vids r soooo satisfying to watch and everything is so clean
Realy loving tour videos keep up the good work
Long time without seeing one of your videos, I always knew u were going to grow fast in this world, last subs number i remember was arround 30k....
CONGRATULATIONS !!! U did a great job
They should have gone for mesh / vented front panel as an alternative at the least. SFF is all about maximum optimization after all. The glass panel doesn't show much anyway and seems quite meaningless.
Yeah - hopefully a H1 flow model eventually. But I can respect that they wanted to stay true to their design language and be different.
For sure; I'm using a gen1 H1 case and replacing the glass panel with a spare back (vented) panel dropped temps by 5-6deg. Also (imo) it looks better than looking through the glass at the side of the riser and the PSU cover
100% this. I had the original H1 and the GPU thermals were atrocious. I bought an aftermarket vented front panel and it helped quite a bit, but the GPU was still thermally throttling.
I've got the H1 v1 and replaced the glass with a ventilated wood panel. Looks and cools much better. The glass heating up also made me feel uneasy
It looks like Xbox series X
Loved the vid you did on the fully water-cooled H1 v1, inspired me to build my own using an 2080 super instead. Definitely wasn’t the best idea for my first ever water cooled build, but I learned a ton and it functions flawlessly as my VR/Racing Sim PC.
Thanks for introducing me to the world of SFF computers!
I own the original H1 (with replaced riser cable so now not a fire hazard!) and did a fan mod at the top back of it by cutting out some of the mid plate - it made quite a difference to the temps so nice to see they added it themselves in this version
etsy front panel lowers 10C on GPU. def get it
I still have my NZXT H1 (V1 now I guess). I modified it to have the glass on the GPU side (3d printed new rails), upgraded power supply, watercooled custom looped my 3080 FE and Ryzen 5800x with 240mm radiator. I was inspired by your watercooled video of the H1. I had tried the CPU pump block but got a DOA unit so ended up using the little 40ml pump from one of your other videos.
Where did you fit a 240mm rad in the H1? Sounds like a sweet build
@@mchipman7879 I used the a smaller Corsair SF750 power supply and removed the harddrive cage. It's goes in the same place as the original rad but I had to 3d print a mounting bracket. It was definitely a challenge for my first watercooling build.
@@aaronjerome5084 I'm working on a similar build at the moment and running into some roadblocks. I'd love to see some pictures of your build if you don't mind sharing!
@@mchipman7879 Yeah I'm actually planning on putting a 200ml reservoir in this weekend I'll take some pictures then. The biggest space improvement was from the removal of the 2.5in harddrive cage and smaller power supply.
@@mchipman7879 I'm not sure if your still interested but I added a short video of my build to my channel.
This case is soooo satisfying. I just got a SSUPD Meshlicious Mini-ITX and its really cool and all but the H1 looks sooo much better. Like always, good stuff!
If you like the mesh I'd recommend keeping it just so you don't have to deal with the horrid nzxt cam software
Honestly i prefer the mesh.
H1 looks better but I'll never buy another nzxt product. Thanks Gamers Nexus!
we getting a review on the fnatic bolt 👀? saw alot of reviews on it already but would really like to hear your opinion on it coming from someone who sweat fps games and also a g pro user
He switched to the g303 shroud now
@@lukeburden we know that, but that shouldn’t stop him from looking at newer mice.
So many good mice coming this year he needs a huge roundup. Bolt, pulsar xlite v2, HyperX haste wireless, etc
A lot*
Boardzy. But i think the thing you would like to see is the latency etc.
Hey, thanks for the video! Have you considered doing a video on the Phanteks Evolv Shift Xt case? it's a small form factor that looks really nice IMO
That intro man, exactly what I was after. Nice. Hopefully no longer a fire hazard either! I'm between the NR200 and Meshy.
Very awesome! I am planning a transfer/some upgrading to my current ibuypower pre built system to this case. :)
I hope more cases trying to compete with the H1/2. Smaller footprint is important, most people have vertical space. More fun, something different.
Yes! pretty good looking too@unholydonuts
Got my eyes set on building my first pc in this case. For a first build it’s pretty nice to get a cooler and psu included
Man why does nobody throw a 12900K/DDR5/3090 in this case? 😭 would be really cool to see the thermal performance from that notoriously hot combination.
The cpu cooler wouldn't be able to do it. It would throttle way too much. It wouldn't make any sense.
Edit: a 3090 in the other hand is doable but not with the stock psu. Gamers nexus had problems with a 3080 even with an Intel cpu and the system would crash. The new psu in there is a downgrade from the previous one despite having 100w more.
I've been running a 5800x3d and 3090 for a while now and even with the gpu pulling 370watts constantly no crash in sight. But I did watercool the 3090 and backpacked the radiator
@@flatmotion1I have these components and will eventually try them in my A4 H2O.
@@flatmotion1it actually handles the 12900k fine, however the psu as you mentioned can not handle a 3090 unless you get a super low power cpu and even then it’s a maybe. I was very surprised by the cooler’s capabilities.
This is actually possible, but you would need to replace the fans on the aio to an NF A12x25 or p12 MAX. The power supply will also need to be changed to a Corsair sf750 or a cooler master v850 SFX. And at that point the CPU and GPU would still be slightly overheating from the lack of airflow. So my advice is to just use an a4h2o.
@@FTVG_inc I'd like to correct you there. I've been running a 3090 in the V1 now for almost a year with a 5800x3D and have had 0 power related crashes so far.
The psu is more than capable of running this setup.
One thing that I like is the small foot print of the H1. Very happy with the version 2 model
Just built a system in the H1 V2. 12700 and a tuf 3080 OC. I am using the aorus b660i pro. The temperatures have been excellent. Under 60 for the cpu under heavy gaming load. Great machine. And great case.
Hopefully i get good temps I just ordered everything. For now I’ll use ryzen 7 5800x b550i & msi Rtx 2080 super
Is it super loud under heavy load? Both from psu and aio?
nah its nice
Loving the consistent coverage of new cases - still hesitating to start my SFF rebuild out of a full ATX mid tower myself but getting close to pulling the trigger
What's your (or anyone else's) current recommendation for a smaller sandwich layout case that would barely fit a 3080ti FE and have just enough cooling potential for a 5900X? And what do people recommend for AM4 ITX motherboards at the moment?
Maybe the Dan A4-H20? If I were to build a new pc right now basing it on AM4, I would probably go with the Asus B550-I motherboard.
@MiguelCamarena Look at reviews/videos of the A4-H20, for example Machines and More did a build with a 3080 FE, and it was just fine.
I really like my Sliger Console with my 3080FE. Console style case allows the FE cooler to flow directly through the case. Also comes in a 3 slot version.
I'm running it with the gigabyte B550i board and I'm very happy with it.
I owned the version 1 of this prebuilt case from NZXT / LetsBLD. Thankfully did not have my house burn down in the 1.5 years I owned it and used it as my daily workhorse.
NZXT also refunded me without hesitation in full. And I used that ~$2.5k towards a replacement computer.
I’d say go for it if you’re looking for a super lightweight, mobile tower. If you plan to travel often it will meet your needs. Only downside are hardware restrictions. Since it is tiny, I assume certain GPUs are out of the question.
quick question i have the v1 case currently and was wondering if i bought the v2 case if i could swap mother board and gpu into it ?
My initial thoughts on these vertical style towers is why not go with something taller like an SV590 and slap a 360mm aio in there exhausting hot air from the whole build at once. Unless of course someone was limited on vertical height space as well and needed something smaller like an H1 or an SSUPD.
SV540 is probably good enough too
Great content as always you’ve inspired a couple of builds just wanted to know, I need to build a second system for my son and came across the geeek m5, just wondering if you were interested in reviewing this case
Love the update, just wish that Mesh panels were an option instead of glass.
I love it. I built the last N1 one you did with a Radeon VII and 3900X with the other after market cooler you suggested and the esenbaure pump it's a smoking hot unit.. 🔥 🥵 🎶 😎
$400 for combo, $60 for an Etsy front panel to allow it to breath. Yet the real flaw that can't be fixed is CAM. That alone is the true deal breaker.
What do you mean? I'm looking at buying it possibly.
@@dberg519 there's a thing called NZXT CAM, I guess he does not like it, but idk why. Is it that he can't put the lights he wants? That it does not work properly? That the use of it is mandatory? I have no idea.
Eye candy Cinematography! ❤️
Thank you soooo much! answering my request
I‘d love to see recommended builts from you for three scenarios, when the new cards release at the end of the year.
For example:
Low budget (500-800$)
Mid budget (900-1500$)
High Budget (1500-3000$)
Would also be a nice idea for a series which updates every few months.
Price range based build guides are tough at the moment but I would be open to seeing one just based on MSRP prices. Even though its not very realistic for consumers it would still be interesting and helpful
I'd love this as well. Graphics card prices are inflated, but most people know that so I think going by msrp is fine
Yeah, the idea is to have a suggestion for well fitting systems.
If you think the new cards will be cheaper than the current ones, you are in for a big surprise. 500-800$ builds wiill be with APUs. Keep in mind Nvidia is not releasing anything below a RTX 4060, which will consume more power than a rtx 3070, so you can imagine it's a big chip that costs a lot, until late 2023, AMD will probably be the same.
Always loved the clean videos! Hopefully you can help me with my question, can a 2.7 slot gpu fit into this case? I can't find any answers online
Same I’d love to see a vid of large gpu’s like the MSI 3080ti Gaming Trio, or the Asus 3080ti Strix being put in the H1v2. Mainly the MSI trio as that’s what I want to buy. It’s great he said that they will fit for the most part but considering the price I’d like some evidence too.
love your channel when it has new SFF content
Still have theV1. I cut the back panel to fit a ROG RX 6800 XT LC in it and i love it
i went with the NR200p last year, with your advise and i've been super happy. don't have an rtx30's in there, and hoping it will stay cool whenever (if) i do put on one in.
get outta here, nr200 is for noobs
@@skytreegirl6929 your opinion on this is irrelevant.
Great content as always! I have to ask what is the light that you’re using around 3:10?
Hi, I know you focus mainly on the mini itx builds but is there any chance you could do a review of some of the best and smallest micro atx cases please.
I really enjoy your reviews and builds and so would love to see vids that also include micro atx
I have a H1 V1 with a 3080 Ti and 5800x. All stock. Works great. GPU hits 72c while gaming. Unless you are over clocking temps are fine
Every RUclipsr has neglected to keep up with the fact that (in the US at least) Cooler Master raised the price of the Nr200p max to a ridiculous $500. At that point it’s just a much worse value buy than the other options in this video.
@El Cactuar it was originally released with a $350 price tag which would’ve made it the best choice in its class I think. But it was constantly sold out for months and when cooler master most recently restocked it on their website it was like $450 or $500 I can’t remember exactly how much because it immediately lost my interest after going up in price so much. When you add up the cost of the components if you were to buy them individually it doesn’t even come close to what they are charging
Have you even seen it available?? I have never once seen it in stock anywhere.
@@audx2338 yes it restocked a few days before this vid on Cooler Masters site, it’s the first time I had seen it come in stock in a while though and it was gone the next day
i'm calling any case that doesn't catch fire a win in my books
I'm currently using the OG NZXT H1 with a TUF 6800XT that actually is longer than the case. Had to use an angle grinder to cut a bit of the GPU Shroud and little bit from the case as well. I do run in power issues when running my 5600X and the GPU with OC. Also had to add 2 small fans (GPU side) to add some active airflow.
This case refresh has it all fixed. I'd love to use this case if I can.
Only thing I don't really need is that fan controller, cuz I instead put up my old phone (Samsung Galaxy J5) there using some electric and two sided tapes.
And I set up that phone to display all my PC stats like my CPU, GPU and RAM usage, temps, clocks, and even FPS, Thread Usage, Spotify info, Date Time and my logo. This was possible due to an app called Pitikapp. Their server client installed from my PC pulls these metrics from MSI Afterburner, fraps, GPU-Z etc and then relays the info to the phone app to display. Thanks to my phone's amoled display, it looks like I have a display inside my PC. Way better and Cheaper than NZXT Kraken AIO.
I suggest the host to use something similar and make a video with more upgrades to inspire ppl like me.
Love from India. ❤️
Seems like a great starter for a lot of people 😁
i dont know the new one is worth it but i know your video is worth watching
You can get the v1 with the updated riser for 130 usd on ebay right now as well
in the uk you can buy the nzxt h1 v2 for £330 but you can also buy the meshlicious a sf750 psu and a 280 mm rad for 330 whilst offering better thermals it’s a no brainer. Although the h1 is a lot easier to to build in
Not sure what brands you’re going for but unless you are being cheap you won’t get all of that for the same price, remember you need another £25 for the glass panel for the meshi as well
@@potentialz59 you also need another $45 for a mesh panel on the h1
@@potentialz59 I just got v1 new for 175€ on amazon with updated riser. Please tell me I don´t need to replace the riser with a 4gen for rtx3 cards 😳
@@moracabanas yes you will but at that point it’s better to sell it and grab the v2 as it’s better compatible with this current generations tech
@@potentialz59175€, Afaik you loose less than 1% performance on 3080, so I don't see the point to upgrade the riser neither paying doble price for V2.
This is a deal isn't it?
Could you do a review on the Lian Li Q58? You've reviewed all of the current best itx cases except that one so a review from you would be great.
Any plans to review the Fractal Torrent Nano? Kinda big for an ITX case, but I really like the way it looks.
So just to 100% confirm the MSI 3080ti Gaming X Trio dose fit correct. You stated it but I didn’t see you put it in the H1v2 and I’m planning on getting it.
will you be doing a review on the new Phanteks Shift XT ?
Do a Tecware Fusion review please! Push its compatibility to the limit!
Been waiting 😩 for you to check out the iqunix zx-1 for a while now!!!
It’s been close to 10 years since I built my last gaming rig and I’m looking at build my next one with the NZXT H1 V2 case. Since the 13th gen intel chips and new Ryzen chips have now arrived, can you please advise me of the best combination of cpu and gpu to use in this case without needing to undervolt. My aim will be to game at 1440p on high settings. Thanks in advance 😊
First of all, this is one of the best channel on RUclips, I really love.
So, I would like to buy this case and use ryzen 5900x but I'm not sure if 120mm watercooler can handle the temperatures of this CPU.
Someone know if will works well with this CPU?
Such a beautiful creation
I wonder how good thermals would be if this case had a full mesh panel instead of that glass panel chocking the gpu exhaust I've heard you can buy custom mesh panels for this case on places like Esty tho
Would love to see a video on the evolv ahift xt
The meshlicious is just too good. Wahaha knows his stuff
Did they increase the space at all for RAM or do you still need low profile RAM in order to fit in it?
You can buy the 3 lot to 2 lot bracket for 2000 RTX card on EVGA store
Not sure about the international pricing but 2021 version of the NZXT H1 costs 200 Euros here in Germany. This one at 400 Euros is a tough sell.
I'm thinking about building my first PC and this case looks like an awesome choice for it, but I would like to ask anyone who has more experience than me what is the upper limit of CPU you would put into this case because I know the 140mm can only do so much and I don't wanna put in something that may be too much for it to handle.
what about revisiting Cougar QBX? It exists in thirdy world as mine in Brazil as the only possible option for ITX for a reasonable price and availability. I put Two 120mm radiators on it, yes, you can put a GPU radiator taking fresh air from outside... i'm using with full ATX power supply, but, a revisit with a SFX should be great. The Sapphire AMD GPU has 120mm radiator.
now we only need the review of the q58
waiting for 4000 series to drop before I decide on the new case.
I expect this not being able to handle new series, sadly.
You recommended the A4 H20 as an alternative but it's impossible to get. sold out everywhere (US) and no signs it's coming back soon
I haven't tried any of these cases and have never built a Mini-ITX gaming PC. I wiill be soon, this NZXT looks to be the best one interms of saving desk space as it looks very square and very tall. Where as the SSUPD Mesh and CoolMaster NP200 etc look likey they will take a lot of desk space as they are rectagular and traditional shapes which eat into the desk space. What do people suggest case wise if I want to minimise footpring on the desk? Looking at it a different way is mounting the PC under the desk on a bracket a viable option? As then I have maximum deskspace but possibly limited knee room and difficulty pressing the power button each time
Honestly, if we were to compare SFF models I would more likely compare this to the NR200P Max as both the H1 and Max come as bundles that include the AIO and power supply. The fact that you also have the option to add to slim fans at the bottom of the NR200P Max to assist with air flow also trumps this and thereby would make it a much better option..in terms of size difference there is a 7 litre difference but if we were to consider this being just a desktop PC, the NR200P Max beats this in every category imo (even with the tempered glass panel) based of your own tests.
Also it helps that here in Aus, its $89 cheaper than the H1 V2 which is $589 (can get some slim Artic 120 mm fans with that difference and still have some dollars to spare haha).
Awesome video either way my dude!
nr200 and h1 are both trash. get a real sff case
Hey, have you tried build an pc in Sirius S40 case? I done build mine but i cant find any good cooler under 65mm clearence for my i7-10700k. I did not oc mine anymore, mostly undervolt. My only choice i have is some noctua L9x65 (65mm but im not sure if it actually fits), L9i (which i think wont be enough for 10700k), L12 Ghost S1 edition (do the bending mod like other people but im scared to damage it?).
Other brand maybe Scythe Shuriken 2 (58mm, but cannot find any video or post people running it with same cpu as me). My cooler atm is Scythe big shuriken 3 without fan installed, which cant handle the 10700k lol.
Did you edit in the pen clicking sound when transitioning or did you actually click a pen lmao
Damn I wonder what the delay is in the eGPU compared to the built-in
This is on sale at Best Buy right now (early march 2023) for like $220
The pen clicking sounds? I'm guessing they're there to segment script sections for editing?
How is the cooling with Nvidia FE cards and their unique airflows? Does the new cooling fan help?
Love your channel- just thought I'd let you know- I'm about to do this build for my wife's gaming rig:
CPU: i7-12700 (integrated GPU/not unlocked)
MOBO: ASUS rog strix B660-I gaming wifi (mini-itx)
CASE: NZXT H1 V2 (white)
RAM: ADATA XPG Lancer RGB 32GB (6000MHz) DDR5
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Ti VISION OC 8GB
SSD: Samsung 1TB 980 Pro (PCIE 4.0) NVMe
This setup seems perfect for her, she doesn't need overclocking, while the i7 is overkill for what she needs, she tends to upgrade once every 3-4 years so spending a little extra for longer term output works for us. She needs the integrated GPU for driving a second monitor for watching streaming TV..
I calculated the TDP and it should be okay for the PSU, but it is going to depend on how "spikey" the nvidia is- it is still a 3070 underneath so I'm hoping it will work out..
Anyway, Ill let you know how it goes..
Just as an update- the build went great, no issues whatsoever. Wife loves the build. The motherboard in particular is really good and fits in the NZXT H1 V2 case without any issues. All headers were in the same place at NZXT expected.
hows the noise of it? im thinking of getting this case too.
Hello, requesting for a review of the Lian Li Q58? In the market for my ITX case and I kind of only trust your reviews ;(( HAHAHAHA
hey man, i was wondering what is the best cpu for am3+ motherboards? under 250 dollars/euros
not sure if this old video is comment viewed any more, but do you plug the aio pump in the pump header or cpu fan header? the bios gets mad when it's just the aio header as it cannot detect the cpu fam as that seemed to be powered by sata through that fan hub
Love this case.
Can you cover the Q58 and how it compares to this please?
Review the Lian Li Q58
I'm super curious how the cougar qbx stacks up against these cases
Will you be reviewing the Sliger S610 or S620 anytime soon?
Will the MSI Gaming X Trio 6900XT fit? Was a bit confused cause it says 12.7inches is the max for the NZXT V2, but the MSI is 12.8 inches? Not sure if that extra .1 makes a difference or not.
Hey Ali , how oftern do you need to refresh the water in the water cooler ?
When do we get the review of the Phanteks Shift XT?
For $400...no thanks.
I fail to see what they did to justify the price hike...a few millimeters? Sure it doesn't catch fire but that shouldn't justify a premium. It should be standard.
Higher wattage PSU as well, and the extra fan for GPU airflow.
if not because of the mining issues of graphic cards, I have built a new system for myself with this H1 case.
can you do a review of the C275B-FWN240 Sceptre Curved 27" 240Hz
Still need custom cables for a 3 8 pin gpu?
I have an original H1 with a corsair 750w upgrade, but the cables in that only came with 2 8 pins, I that was split. Had problems crashing until I undervolted on an EVGA 3070 ftw3.
What's a good budget friendly itx build if I have a gpu already? Want to do $500 with upgradability down the road.
My only issue with this case is the PSU… it ran all the time (confirmed by NZXT) I would like a model without the PSU.
For that money i would go for an NR200P max.
It's almost a pre-built. I like waiting for sales and applying vouchers individually on each component, so this case is a no for me.
No mention of the fire hazard in the first case? Surprising.
Does the PCIe riser cable catch fire anymore? No? It's improved.
Just wondering, does the new version come only with 750w? cause the ones in my country only have the one with 650w.
Anyone else have concerns about the case sitting directly on top of the hdmi-making the cord bend and putting pressure on the gpu sockets?? Anyone have a fix?
Does it work an 3070 super founders editions and it fan layout?
What about a comparrison between the Meshilicous and the Dan A4-H2O?
The NR200P Max is still not available for purchase anywhere. I've been waiting since September. How could you still recommend this?
What do you think about this case for a 5950x build?
is this new model worth doing a new build video? id love to see a new one if it is
I've just build my Hi v2 rig with a AMD 5800X and a RX6800 and I am super happy with it. Needed some undervolting of the CPU to get into a nice temp range and to avoid throttling though. Furthermore I attached 2 140mm RGB fans to the back to pull out air and changed the radiator fan as a intake. However, my PSU is very noisy and the fan is constantly running. This was quite disturbing and I've opened a support ticket. They told me that there is an issue and they are working on a solution. Maybe there will be a FW update for the PSU (!) in the near future to add a 0-RPM-Mode at low load conditoin. Do you have similar issues with the PSU fan?
