Your cabinets are nice. I made my parts cabinet out of solid pine. Jointed and edge glued, used dove tails for the carcass. I used a small amount of glue only to secure it together, no screws.
Thank you so much for this video. I need to make a storage cabinet for craft cases and although the measurements are not the same this tutorial is a huge help! I don't feel so overwhelmed about it now.
Thanks! While a French cleat is a neat idea, in practice, I find it adds more work for the installation process. With nailers, I just hold the cabinet in place and drive in the screw. That's my preference. Scott
My advice is: if you make the case big enough for additional boxes in the future... buy the boxes now as they may be "new and improved" and no longer fit your case in the future. 💖🌞🌵😷
That's a good point. I tried to purchase a second SOMELINE case last week but they're currently not available... I hope they become available again as I really like it!

I prefer water-based contact cement, but it's not something you can use one every material. This veneer will swell and cause issues with water-based contact cement. I hope that answers your question. Scott
Why did you leave the lids on? It adds three steps to retrieve a part (2 catches and a lid) and another 3 to put the tray away. Six movements extra. They also take height. And they serve no purpose. Would you have a drawer with a lid?
The kids are important. They no only make the cases mobile for work outside the workshop, the also prevent spilling. Could you imagine the mess if one of these tipped over? I like the function of the lids. Scott
@@HomeImprovementWoodworking If you are going to leave the lids on, you do not need to store them horizontally. Stored vertically takes less space and you do not need the supports.
at approximately 10:30 in the video you use a miniature plane, but I don't see any link to it in your store or in the video. Do you have a source for that?
I dont like the ad lady that pops up and asks me to subscribe, nor the rushing through the video process with the background music. This channel provides asmr feels for me yo, I'd like for it to stay that way. Long, boring, but educational process like Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec.

Sounds very nice! Thanks for sharing that! Scott
Thank you, I love these projects where you don’t need all the fancy tools but still get a great functional result.
You're welcome! Thanks for the feedback Jeanie. Scott
Scott: form & function comes to mind. Super job!

Thank you Carol!

Glad it was helpful!
Nice work! Question: Why use nailers instead of a french cleat system? Not just on this cabinet, but all of them?
Thanks! While a French cleat is a neat idea, in practice, I find it adds more work for the installation process. With nailers, I just hold the cabinet in place and drive in the screw. That's my preference. Scott
Thanks for using simple tools
You're welcome. I'm glad to hear you appreciate that. Scott

Thanks for the suggestion Suzi. I just looked on eBay.com and eBay.ca but no luck. Cheers from the Great White North 🇨🇦
@@HomeImprovementWoodworking, looks like to me that it's a UK company. But shipping from the UK to the USA is crazy expensive. 💖🌞🌵😷
Great I need these👍
Glad you like them! Scott
Hi I enjoyed this video and I would like to get the dimensions or plans for this cabinet please, thank you
What countersinking bit do you have? Looks nice! Thanks
I've got a few. My favourite is the type with 4 carbide blades and a depth gauge. Here's a link amzn.to/3eoSHlA
Might be a bit too fancy for my shop but some great tips. BTW, those "too short" nailers would never show.
Nice job, I really like your design. I am going to build this. Thanks
Glad you found it helpful! Cheers

Great Work! Awesome Job!
Thank you! Cheers!
I'm organizing an armory for stage combat weaponry and I think this project, modified, will be perfect. Thanks for the video!
You're welcome! Good luck with your project Christopher. Scott
All the storage bins I purchased came with a shelving cabinet.
Oh, that's cool. What's the brand name?
Great idea
Thank you! Cheers!
Way to elaborate for my purposes. Thanks though.
Love your channel and content, I find the intro a little long, thumbs up for content.
Very interesting video
Glad you liked it! Scott

Hi Linda. No, I don't have a link for that. I actually don't remember where I purchased it either. Sorry. Scott
I was looking too!

Maybe to stack my gold as that would cost a fortune put a price on it not doable for the working man nice workmanship just too pricey MDF maybe
