Thankyou. I am trying to setup my newly aquired ChimePro 2nd Gen and I am having difficulty and this is encouraging. It is difficult to get written setup help for RING items and the App is not useful for its helpfulness. I am glad that I watched this because I hadn't expected to do anything more than simply set it up and now I know there is an additional stage I had hot anticipated.
I cant thank you enough for this video!!!!!!! OMFG!!! I was going to get a transformer installed for a doorbell but something told me to look on RUclips. Here you are yayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much. We had our Wi-Fi changed and though I’d connected front door belle and chime all ok, the upstairs Chime Pro was having troubles. Your video was straight forward and I noticed I’d jumped to reconnect instead of “Set Up Device. Now working perfectly.
You will need to remember the 5 digit pin QR code for each device you want to pair with the chime pro. Look for it on the device itself which is located under the scan QR code or scan it or manually input it. The original box it came with also has the QR pin code.
So I bought this ring chime pro to extend my wifi , as it said this would help.... my chime works fine, should I have bought something else? I have a 2nd generation ring doorbell, incase you need to know this. My connection to my ring doorbell keeps disconnecting./going offline
Yes, the router and the chime pro will connect to each other and whatever devices are connected to the chime pro, the signal will significantly improve performance with the chime pro’s wifi network.
When my ring doorbell button is pressed, it rings twice, it flashes blue and my chime pro rings twice. However, after that, while my ring doorbell is still flashing blue and if it rings again, my chime pro doesn't ring anymore. So, if we don't hear the alert on the chime pro the first time, it won't alert us no matter how many times someone rings the doorbelI. Is there anyway to change that in the settings, so it could alert us everytime the doorbell button is pressed?
Mine is steady green/not flashing. How do I reset this? I just tried to set mine up. I couldn't get the QR code or the bar code to scan (didn't know which bar code was the right one) so I tried manually. I think I selected the wrong item in the list. I deleted it and finally scanned the QR code (why are they so dang small?) but now this is steady green light.
So I know that this is a wifi extender and supports dual band network. My question is does the 5Ghz network works if you have a ring doorbell 1 2020 edition with only 2Ghz ? Meaning can you use the 5Ghz network to work with the ring doorbell
After changing my PW, I have been having problems, talked for 2 days with Tech support and NOTHING, the Pro made the sound, the tech heard it but for some reason it is still Not registering. I am frustrated, and just told Tech have a nice day., before I I lost my cool. Didnt think it would be a pain. May try again in a few more days, nerves shot.
Great instructions but the Chime Pro will just not connect to my WiFi. Everything else in this house, including Ring cameras all connected perfectly. Guess I’ll return this.
My wifr bought this piece of shit as a combo and it does not connect to my internet. I believe this unit uses older technonogy not enabling to connect to Fiber connection. Returning it tomorrow.

So I bought this ring chime pro to extend my wifi , as it said this would help.... my chime works fine, should I have bought something else? I have a 2nd generation ring doorbell, incase you need to know this. My connection to my ring doorbell keeps disconnecting./going offline
Thanks this is the exact video I was looking for😂
Did you use a iPhone or a Android phone to set up the Ring Chimes?
How many devices can you connect to the chime pro?
Does chime work without ring subscription???
Thank you for this.
Will this work on mess network????
Awesome!
Hi good video. Do these boost the signal from the bell to your router?
Yes, the router and the chime pro will connect to each other and whatever devices are connected to the chime pro, the signal will significantly improve performance with the chime pro’s wifi network.
Does anybody know if multiple chime pros can daisy chain of each other.
Good review.
Mine was set up had to reset it got to the network bit but says unable to join any help welcome

It will use the 2Ghz band, not the 5Ghz band since it's not compatible with it. The 5Ghz band has a shorter range than a 2Ghz band anyway.

You skipped the one part I was interest in. Extending wifi to ring devices.

No luck with mine
No sound
