Doesn't actually show toy HOW to set up how to make the doorbell show on the echo show. Mine doesn't automatically show the front door it just announces

It raised a question for me because my partner's system is shared to me and I have just (today) had a Ring doorbell fitted and was going to link it my new Echo Show 8, but I now realise I have to subscribe to my own account to do that. Currently I am an address within his account. It's a bit confusing at times for us oldies, even those of us who are very computer-literate in other ways, because technology moves so fast - even faster than does time for us!
I’m glad you found it helpful. I believe there are some safety features to prevent you from viewing someone else’s feed on your own echo device. I’m not sure why

It seems like the show will immediately show the north side camera motion & the backyard motion, but does not show the doorbell motion. It only seems to alert & if it shows, it only shows a small window, not full screen. If I want to see it I have to ask for it. Is there any way to get it to automatically show the doorbell immediately, & in full size? Thanks for any help. There was not many directions for the Echo Show in the instruction booklet.
I’d suggest going through the settings on your echo show and in your Ring app…. You might accidentally have notifications for the doorbell turned off in the Ring app.

Hi Erin. I tested multiple ring doorbells with my Echo Show 5 and no of those shows the LIVE camera then the doorbell is pressed. I'm curious with this Ring doorbell, what version works with Echo Show 5? I know there are 4 models. Thank you so much!

I’ve had this happen with my Alexa devices every now and then. Sometimes they just need a good old-fashioned reboot. It may also help if you delete the device from your app and re-add it. As we speak my echo show 10 is glitching up on me like this…
I have followed all directions and accounts are linked accordingly. I still cannot get the doorbell to notify me on my Echo Show that someone is at the door. I can open up the Echo and see the person at the door and talk to them from my Echo Show. I've tried everything to get it to notify me when someone rings the doorbell. Nothing. Help!
I have 3 Echo Shows and they all recognize my Ring door bell and my Blink cameras but I just purchased a 4th Echo Show and it's not finding the ring door bell or my blink cameras.

In the Alexa app go to: devices, cameras, and there's an option for motion alerts and bell press alerts. Fingers crossed this works!

This is a good video. I was able to view the camera when I asked Alexa to show it. However I’m not getting the alerts on echo when the doorbell is pressed. Is there a setting in echo I need to check?
It’s been a while since I set mine up, but I think there is a setting within the Alexa app you have to enable… Or maybe it’s in the Ring app.?
