I used to have custom cameras with a dvr and dedicated small display in a central area to view all cameras on all the time. Is there a way to keep the ring dashboard up to view thumbnails of all the cameras on all the time?
Appreciate the video .. need a bit of help... i wanted the fire TV to automatically show the video of the camera where and once motion is detected. It works if i ask it to show the camera but not automatically if motion is detected. Help. Thank you
If there is motion on the Ring doorbell or someone presses it will it automatically open on the tv or do I have to speak to it and ask it to show the doorbell camera? I hope this question makes sense.
nice, i can get the firestick to show my ring indoor camera, but it doesnt stay on for long. i would like for it to keep displaying until i exit out of the video feed.
Thanks! One more question I forgot. I take it the fire stick won’t alert you when there is motion? It’s just for viewing? Like while watching tv on the fire stick it won’t alert you? I was hoping you had this up before I leave for the stores today lol.
So it looks like there is the option to have the Fire TV Stick announce motion BUT you have to have the TV on and be watching the Fire TV to get those announcements.
@@SteveDOES I have an Alexa routine that on voice, “Alexa, tv show front door”. Devices, “dev tv”, “front door ring” That: Powers on tv (the Vizio skill is nice enough to differentiate between on and off!) Pause 2 seconds Switch hdmi to firestick (somehow Alexa figured out how to do this step on her own, but I still put it explicitly in the routine Alexa say to yourself, “Alexa, show ring pro” Hint, those routines can call SmartLife scenes if you need to use a SmartLife device function.
Regarding alerts The ring device generates actions that can trigger routines. Motion, Ring, No Motion (there hasn’t been motion for a while and recording stops). I used my: turn on, show ring routine sequence to do that, but it quickly got real annoying when the tv turned on by itself 50 times when I mow the lawn LOL!
I have multiple outside cams that are the same kind of cam, but I named them something different ie back door, side, etc. will it show me based on the name of the camera or what I’ve named it?
Yes, "show me the (insert name here)" will pull up the corresponding camera. However, if they have a mic for speech you will have to minimize or back out to request another camera. Otherwise anything you say holding down the Alexa button will come through the doorbell 😅
Need to know how to get the ring app on my fire stick ?? Went through Alexa link my Ring account with fire stick, but there’s no ring on the fire stick.
@@OO-fm3sw Can you tell me how? My Ring Doorbell automatically shows the Live View on the Echo Show when there is motion or person detected, but with the Stick Up Camera, only the verbal announcement is given on the Show and I have to ask Alexa to show the Live View. I've been back and forth with both Ring support and Amazon support who tell me that the Stick Up Camera SHOULD show the live view automatically on the Show with motion and person detected, but alas, the only way I've been able to have the live view automatically appear with the Stick Up Camera is with a routine, which is not user friendly and then the Live View won't go away. The Doorbell works GREAT with the Show so I'm not sure why the same capabilities aren't there for the Stick Up Camera. Any luck/advice you have would be greatly appreciated!
I ama. Long time ring customer I have tons of camera between home and office. Things are great about ring (cloud video, smartphone control) But I regret not getting a higher end system with unlimited power . Ring cameras are hamstrung by their battery. The cameras are always on standby until motion is detected, then it fires up a recording and begins to consume battery. You need to set motion schedules unless you have a solar or wired option , even then you’ll find there are too many recordings. But it all leads back to the fact that all the programming is centered around the battery saving schema , of trigger-event (parallel cameras activate ) and record. I wish I had a wired CCTV network that was always running so I could flip to a channel fed through a coaxial connection like cable tv. And record it all the time to cloud. This while even trigger system is great but I just got broken in to , and no video because of an error with the motion schedules. Also say I heard gunfire close by or at 3 am people are in the backyard. You will be so pissed to see a loading screen instead of the possible danger. Those 2-5 seconds are absolute eternity trust me. And worse it may just be a bad night for interference or your need a reboot and you’ll get a failed connection. Or the most aggravating thing is you’ll have a person come and bang on your door then walk away quickly at 2am but when you check the video recording the camera only recording the person walking away, and was too busy activating to record the person approaching.
When the camera is full screen, anything you say while holding the Alexa talk button on your remote comes through the camera/doorbell. This feature is disabled in picture-in-picture (PIP) mode
yes it is possible, you have to create a routine. After 10pm if I have motion from one of my ring cameras it will automatically turn my tv (fire tv) on and automatically show live feed from my ring camera.
In routines in the "when" option -smart home- your ring camera-when detects motion- then "add action" -custom- type "show (then whatever your camera name is)" the only problem I have is when I do this on my echo show 15 the video will remain there and does not automatically time out. the tv on the other hand I have shut off after 5 mins.

How is your TV switching to the right input on which your fire stick is connected? Or do you watch TV only via your fire stick?

Is there a way to display ALL Ring cámaras at once on Firestick?

do yk how long you are able to keep it on live mode for? i think on the phone live mode only last 10 minutes then it exits you out
Can I use my ruku vs the fire tv to view my echo and ring cameras on my tv? Or does it have to be a fire stick
