Honestly, I find it actually GOOD to have a doctor that doesn’t pretend like they know everything, hence the kombucha question. It makes me feel better in their care.
They do call them medical practices, as its an ever evolving field, they constantly have to keep up on new developments. Silly when doctors pretend otherwise.
@Morten frost Hansen but medicines and diseases and treatments are evolving so fast and so are questions that it’s not possible for any doctor to answer certain questions and give some treatment. But if a doctor pretends like they know everything, that would be cause for concern, as they could give you incorrect answers or treatment and bam, a malpractice suit is born.
@@avettcore we are all human and no human is perfect.. However, I expect professional behaviour, when I visit a doctor's office. Don't know how it is elsewhere, but here we have a massive database that all doctors can look at. And to some extent, also the public can access.. Which our government health system runs, and are updated every day.. most diseases, illnesses and complications are well documented and studied. Virology and neuroscience is probably the last branch in medical science, were things are still being pioneered.. We can always get better, and that's luckily part of human nature. To keep exploring.. So yeah, I guess you're right about some of it

@Platzpropeller You're right that they do perform "Awake Brain Surgery" sometimes, but the best results come by first mapping the brain and then keeping the patient asleep. You can find studies that show patients that were asleep, as opposed to awake, received better post-surgery results with cognition, speech, etc. There's also surveys that show the same as well. It's pretty cool either way!

The fact that he calls his wife for her advice proves how good a doctor is. GPs are GENERAL practitioners, they know a little about a lot, but they don’t know everything. If you have a doctor that is unwilling to consult when they’re uncertain about something, that doctor is putting their ego before your health. If you’re not fully comfortable with your doctor’s prognosis or treatment, do not fear getting a second opinion.

When I sat in for surgery observations (not for medical school, mind), the surgeon, when he had time, would casually talk the nurses and technologists up and tell jokes, and then get serious when he had to focus. Jeong would fit right in to most places I've been to.

In fact, what I discovered is that I had emotional problems and since I began to deal with those things, my routine of studying got better and better. it's like I was doing the same effort but I can absorb much more information, learn thing faster than bf. So yeah, I think when you're positive with the world around you, you're more productive.

Hi Ken! For those of you wondering what "Kombu cha" is: The effects of "Kombu cha" (Kelp Tea) is increase of iodine and salt intake. People also ask for antibiotics for colds and the flu which are both viruses and therefore immune to antibiotics.
@5:05 I've actually wondered about this before. We do routinely recommend taking a probiotic whenever patients complain of experiencing diarrhea while taking antibiotics. I'm not sure how effective it is but it's definitely something that comes up in emergency medicine a lot.

It's like actors who make silly faces and say goofy things right before the director yells ACTION, and then they do some spectacular serious acting. I just want to point out that there is an anti-vaccination movement that is causing major outbreaks of measles which we'd all but eradicated in the past few decades thanks to vaccinations. People also ask for antibiotics for colds and the flu which are both viruses and therefore immune to antibiotics.
