    Thank you sooooo much, finally someone took the time and made a _detailed_ video of one of these cheap switches.

    • @Thundertronics

      yes, unfortunately community does not support them. they are all for very expensive and bloated products.
      i even messaged retrorgb to post my review on his site but got no response.

      @@Thundertronics that is strange... retrorgb is great in many ways, postwd about cheap alternatives before (not switches)

    Can you output audio directly to RCA left right ?

  • @alhamwydude

    Do you know if this switch will output safe sync levels from cables that have a sync stripper in them? According to RetroRBG similar Otaku switches produced really high levels that can damage the connected devices. Do you have anything that you might be able to test it with? The issue is that I have PS1, PS2 and some other cables that also have sync strippers and replacing them will be really costly.

      i didn't understand what you meant but for me no problem happened for all my 11 consoles connected via scart.
      i didn't open the device but i believe it uses mechanical relays to connect the signals, i definately heard it. thus no problem for signals at all;

    If i happen to have the very same Scart Switch and i'm using already the Scart Output with my OSSC what would you do if i still want to hook it up to my recently acquired CRT TV?

    • @Thundertronics
      @Thundertronics  2 года назад +1

      you need 2 simultaneous outputs right? then you need some sort of video amplifier or splitter.
      this scart switch has the rca outputs and the japanese scart (JP21) which are active at the same time... you can use those for sure but you have to figure out how.

    I have something similar to this one I got off eBay ordered it last Thursday and arrived yesterday morning and very chuffed. It didn't come with a SCART cable but I bought 2 from Retro Gaming Cables as they're high quality as well as my console SCART cables (right now PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Wii)

    • @Thundertronics
      @Thundertronics  Год назад

      best solution on the market is this scart switch.
      i noticed that cascading 2 of it may not be compatible with some consoles... but that is not the case for majority of them.

    I was wondering, do you know if it's possible to get 2 simultaneous outputs from this model in particular? I know one of the outputs uses the japanese scart layout, I was hoping to get a modified cable or maybe an adapter in order to use it with the ossc and a gbs control. I know they're selling a newer model with a blue pcb that they advertise as being able to output from both scart ports (and that both follow the european layout) but that isn't cheap at all.

    Hey my friend, i bought the same scart switch and everything with rgb cables works fine. But it won't recognize my N64 oder Nes, which are connected via Composite Cables with Scart Adapters... On their page it says i could use no RBG Devices like N64 or NES. Do you now what i am doing wrong? Or how can I activate the Composite mode?

    • @Thundertronics
      @Thundertronics  2 года назад +1

      well, i haven't tested that really. its internal circuit probably looking for a signal on the pin 20 which holds csync or composite sync.
      as for the NES, I have a Twin Famicom modded with RGB and it works fine. so NES type sync works fine.
      so now please check when you hook the composite console on a certain input, check the light if it turns on or not. meaning does it know you hooked it in or not.
      then you need to check the output with maybe an ossc or using a scart to composite adapter which extracts the composite signal into a regular rca jack which you can use on crt.

    How do you connect the third rgbs output to a hdtv?

    • @simonrouger272
      @simonrouger272 2 года назад

      You should use an upscaler like the retrotink 5x

    • @Thundertronics
      @Thundertronics  Год назад

      you should use a scaler or converter to HDMI or go the other route of converting it to component video.
      i convert it to component then to my crt.

    nice review bud , how things turning out a few months later ? I was thinking of getting a 6 port scart switcher from the exact same seller , but I just wanted to see how things are still going with your switcher before making the purchase.

      maker a mod rgb on them, i do this on all i have, until Atari 2600 you can make the mod.

    • @Thundertronics
      @Thundertronics  Год назад

      don't use composite! mod them to use rgb and make ALL your setup RGBs then use whatever to connect to HDTV or CRT TV.
      I made several consoles RGB mod here and many others on YT.
      if you have a problem with one of them, please state it here.
