Seems more suitable for weak signal HF Data, that said, interesting? I Iike it. As long as you have permission, seems you could do PSK31, FT8, etc over the Repeaters and Echolink, IRLP if equipped. I don't know why you'd want to do that? but it is interesting. I can't see the Winsystem embracing IT!
I dont know if its the best weak signal digital mode. Something like ft8 or js8 call probably beats it on paper, but the data rate of psk31 is so slow that in my limited experience it seems to work pretty well with low power
@@JimCoupeTQ it was on either 1 or 2, the problem ive found if you turn the squelch off you can get a lot of garbled random characters in the output of your psk31
On the andflmsg app there is a tick mark on the top of the waterfall where the signal decodes. Is the a way to manually move that mark to different places on the waterfall? Also, Ive noticed the the tickmark will move on it own sometimes. Is there a way to stop this?
Im sorry but im not sure i can help you with your question. Just make sure to have your squelch set right. But from what your describing i think yours looks different than how i remeber mine since i dont remember there being a waterfall.
@@JackTradeMark on one of the app pages is a tab that says “waterfall on/off”. Across the top is a mark that marks where the signal will decode. It doesn’t seem to be a problem on vhf but on hf when there can be multiple signals its an issue for the reasons in my first post. Ive been told just to adjust the freq until the signal matches the mark. But that doesn’t work when using acoustic coupling. Nice video.

What cable is used between the android and the radio? Any special settings for the radio that would enable the cable to connect?
What frequency did you use on the Baofeng? Thank you. 73'3 Ernie Bazzinotti KC1LKB
I was using the 70cm uhf band if i remember correctly
Nice vid mate.. is psk31 good for low power?

@@JackTradeMark Ok i habe tried js8 alot but this app was nice for offgrid situation. I have a bug out rig but want stuff to be more compact
@@JackTradeMark Did you set squelch to 1 or 0 on the baofeng

The God damned app I have doesn't work at all or look like your screen and there is zero fucking support.
