Great to hear that professionals are holding them accountable as well. I was scapegoated for years and everything was my fault.

They have lots of internal shame, insecurities, and anger. Instead of dealing with it internally they turn around and put it back on you. Helps relieve their discomfort of processing self-accountability by deflecting and placing blame and judgment on others.

In a generational context, a covert narcissist is what pops out of the overt narcissist's jello mold.

Are there any specialists that take insurance or that don't charge 650.00 per hour? I understand Dr. Malkin is worth his fee but my wife and I can't afford this. My wife needs help. Our marriage needs help. I would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you.

I am a cover narcissist, listening to the video it seems that Craig Malkin is either biased on what to expect from a cover narcissist, or indeed himself has some traits of overt narcissism.
Here is a covert narcissist psychoanalyzing a over narcissist..lol
From my limited knowledge on Phycology and my vast knowledge on my life, trying to help and make a difference to human emotional suffering of these day and age, here is my story. As a boy living in a dysfunctional family I have been enmeshed by my mother, but to get what I want in life I could only become a "covert" narcissist, because indeed, my mother was the only input I received. My father working long hours was never there and if he was there, was more to put me down with criticism and sarcasm than give me love. So why a cover narcissist seek help? Because his/her introspection soon or later makes realise that there is something wrong with one self compared to the rest of humanity. Shame the same can not be said for a overt narcissist and indeed, shame that these days over narcissist occupy some of the most prominent position in society.
