Dude your a fricken legend, I skate with my girls and I am 44 and my girls are at an age where they feel socially awkward skating in front of large groups of their peers, I am eyeing up spots to get some DIY skate happening and your videos are inspiring me and instructing me!!!! Your a top man!!!! Your helping empower the skate community arohanui (much love) keep up brother!!!
Loving these vids Zack- been doing a lot of this for years now- but nobody (not even the best park builders) will ever say “I’ve learned enough.” ALL of us are constantly learning new ideas! I also suck with bondo- but been using this product called “JB Weld Steel Reinforced epoxy” for the joints between our pool blocks and between our can coping. It’s SUPER expensive (don’t use their “clear weld”)…but comes in the two tiny toothpaste tubes. we broke most of the mortar joints in my fave can coping wall- those joints are tiny and this epoxy STILL works awesome. There is a wall that has been there for two years and my friend used this on those- guess which ones have NEVER needed repair?! Thanks again for the rad vids!
@@ZackDowdy Chicago Suburbs. We're getting a parking block or two soon, and there's already a jersey barrier and some asphalt banks. We got a great project on our hands. Thanks for the inspiration on future builds!
@@ZackDowdy yeah man, i used to work in a body shop and thats how i was taught to mix it. also interesting seeing it used on concrete! but i guess the surface is so abrasive that it would stick super well. are you planning to do more diy to the ditch?
@@hailz44 Rad to have that perspective, I want to do more DIY in the ditch for sure! Slowly but surely, I'd love to make a ledge in the middle of the bank.
Zack, thank you for all yoru videos. I am getting ready to glue a cpuple 2 dided curbs to concrete flooring and the options/choices of adhesives are overwhelming. Is there one particular brand you would recommend?
Thanks Asa, it's not that bad in person compared to some of the harder DIY spots around town. But that's also because I'm used to skating jenky spots haha.
I always try finding skate spots like those but i forget the name of the water passage you use as you skate spot. Could anyone give me the name of that water sewer thing so i can find one near me? Thanks!
I know this is a pretty old vid, but I was rewatching it and got an idea lol. you should build a wallride out of wood or something to put at the top so you can transition from the bank into a wallride
hey everyone, so I am trying to make a skate spot and it's kinda out in public, so is there any substitutions for lacqer or clear enamel that I could use besides wax
Are you trying to avoid using those because the cans? I sometimes shake it in a car or something then spray, publicly nobody really concern unless you in one of "Those" neighborhoods.
@@ZackDowdy well I just can't do it to this spot in particular because where I want to do it is behind a store in Colorado springs, and lots of bums hangout there so they watch it. I just want to know what my options are. also thanks for replying :) big fan of the vids
We got a huge diy in my local city in Australia the parks are crappy here n the street spots are a bust we there was no choice but to find a place to build skate Life
Holy shit, I've been trying to figure out who you remind me of for so long, and I just realized you sound exactly like Mordecai from Regular Show. Kinda look like a human version of him too haha
WTF..... I've been searching for a knife every time I've used caulk over the last 30 years, and now you're telling me all my caulking guns have probably had a cutter.....
I hope this video sparks you to get out & build! Hit that like button under the video if you enjoyed & stay safe out there guys! 🤘🖤

What a LEGEND! 💪
Some giant corporate warehouse by my place has tons of prime parking blocks that are loose enough to pick up off the ground. Might have to swipe a few
That's a sick little spot, nice work bro 👍
amazing you Guy ! respect ! love it and big up from Belgium 😳
dude I love your content, so glad I found your channel
Appreciate it!
hey bro, a little tip for bondo, it mixes 2 to 1 in ratio. so two parts bondo to one part hardener :)
Legit!

Would love that!! I've seen Dulana and those dudes building some spot out in the middle of nowhere recently. Making a trip out for sure!
Dammm I'm so inspired right now, Can't wait to make some spots I didn't have as a kid.
Love to hear that!

Yess I’ve been waiting for this! Dream spot dude
Thanks Ethan, it's been a blast building here! So stoked the neighbors are cool.

Driving around, biking, etc are great ways. Check out this video I made all about how to find spots: ruclips.net/video/-NFjSXWDkZE/видео.html
Can I use heavy duty lacquer
When you first stick the curb where you want it….would silicone be an option? Or do you think it would get weathered over time?
Not as strong a polyurethane constructible adhesive
Pretty sure I just saw Milton Martinez skating this spot on his IG story today, good stuff
Saw that too, so dope!!
yeeeew that was fun to watch, keep shredding!
Thanks for checking it out Duncan!
you should make a mould for some concrete pool coping pieces and put some on the other side of the bank :)
Bro I like the content keep up the good work🤙
Can you do a cheap diy rail build
What type of rail, just ol' flat rail?
Zack Dowdy yeah, because i know the metal is cheap but retailers sell built rails for 150+ . I just don’t know how to build one
Great video I wish I could do this it looks really fun!🔥
You CAN do it!
So sick man!🤙🤘🏻
Loved this. Cheers!

Yeah!!
U deserve way more subs man
That seems to be a treding comment lol

Wtf is bondo, I don’t live in America?
