I hope this video gets you sparked up to go out and make it happen this weekend! Even if it's not skating DIY skate spots, or skating at all. The biggest take away from skating 7 DIY Skate spots in one day was to appreciate what you do have, and make the most of it!

Make sure u comfortable back 180 on / getting into the front board then once u got that down get some speed get into a front board and turn ur head over shoulders it helps u stay balanced and come out of it easier . Don’t forget to lean back

hey Zack, just discovered your channel/videos this week. i turned 48 yesterday and have been slowly getting back into skating after meeting up with a bunch of my old skate buddies from high school last summer. we spent almost every waking hour searching for/fixing up/skating just about every square foot of concrete here in North OC back in the 90's, so your channel brings back a lot of memories.
i went to the Costa Mesa skatepark yesterday to celebrate my bday and took my two little boys who are just learning to skate, too. your channel has been really inspiring for me. i'm working on building some obstacles i can keep in my garage -- rail, box, etc. -- so my boys can have a DIY spot here at home. keep up the great content!

Keep it up man, all about the DIY stuff too, talked about investing in tools last time another time learned the hard way and more $ wasted invest in almost all your tools CORDLESS battery operated and then invest in the bigger Battery 5. Amps longer run time, tip look at pawn stores for deals look online for used tools time are ODD right now and people need money so selling old/used/sometimes new tools for $$ make the investment for DIY upgrades..best ones #1-cordless drill & impact #2- cordless 4 1/2" grinder A MUST! (Cutting pipe, metal, change the disc and cutting brick, grinding brick) SO Many uses, #3 cordless leaf blower, #4 cordless impact concrete drill (made to impact drill concrete) alil more $ and hard to find but worth it, #5 cordless reciprocating saw for demo on spots and can be used with a wood pruning blade for a make shift chainsaw for grounds maintenance work fasted then an manual working one....just trust and invest in your tools, with respect and keep it up man SK8

The infamous sandwich break that is intended to reboot you but just puts you down
to clarify for anyone wondering and reading this... use lacker or the clear coat, wait about 35 to 45 minutes, and then throw 2 layers of actual skate wax on it and enjoy.. side tip, buy yourself a Rubrick if you like skating concrete ledges and you know a few you want to turn into actual spots but there krusty af
I love the Rowans that was my first shoe that I loved enough to buy a second pair, haha. I haven't skated the 2nd pair yet, because I am finishing up my "half cabs" and just broke in a black and white pair of the skate classic era's I think they're called, but yeah, I still have a few pairs of brand new vans, and a couple that I am currently wearing but I know that I loved skating the Rowans so I will definitely be breaking those out sometime in the next few months, I usually try to skate one pair of shoes at a time, but the half cabs were a black/moss colorway so I wanted something black and white for when I wanted to match, so I am going through 2 at the moment, but yeah, I saw your review on Cristian Flores"s channel, I think it's cool how much you collaborate with others, I have talked to a few people because of watching your videos, I am thinking about getting a board from sea rat Skateboards and I placed an order for my birth month thrasher issue through the lookbacklibrary!!!!!!! I absolutely love watching your videos, haha. You are by far my favorite RUclipsr, I love how transparent you are with everything, also you seem like an amazing human being!!!!!!! @@ZackDowdy hey you mentioned in a video if anyone was having a hard time you would be open to talking to them, I really don't want to go into the problems I'm having, and they aren't extreme, probably things other beginner skaters have to get through as well, but yeah, I feel like after watching your videos in these past months I have been really really wanting to get in contact with you, aside from needing someone I view as a positive person to talk to, I would really benefit from a tip here and there when I have my own little DIY skate spots I attempt to work on, haha. I feel on diy skate spots being removed. One got removed from my hometown
Every time I go to a spot, I need at least 2 hours just* to warm up.
Idk why but I can skate diy spots better then skate parks idk I feel more comfortable really love them I only know one spot around where I’m from
if you have the slightest idea on a way soemthing could be skated give it a shot for a while
Go faster and really twist your shoulders, front boards are all about twisting. Shoulders
That's good advise!! Always go fast, I tend to keep my shoulders open I need to twist more, thank you.
