    Props to this hero! Disappointing that the city doesn’t want to maintain a skatepark.

      My local was getting super cracked, with large gaps that would eat skateboard wheels. We petitioned the town and they finally got the message and repaired the ground and the skate-lite ramps. Even the underpinnings were repaired so the surfaces didn’t just break again. But if we didn’t see any progress, we’d have probably tried some of this.

    Excellent job guys. I seen more than a few people eat it on that crack. Mostly guys with the smaller wheels. A BIG THANK YOU

    I did this for my local park. Always do. Ever since I poured on Burnside back in '94.

    we all do this type of stuff at my local, even turned a crusty ass border line that was made to stop boards from rolling out the park into a perfect 20 ft slappy curb

    Few questions:
    1. Who's the dude making the repair? (What other projects has he been involved with?)
    2. How long did the whole repair take, and how much did it cost?
    That tarp technique is brilliant.

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  2 года назад +1

      1. Joe! 2. It took about one hour total, and skated the next afternoon about 25 hours later.

      Yeah, the move with the tarp is getting filed in my head under 'Far better way of improvising a spot board'. Doing any mix by hand always sucks, that looks the most painless way I've seen 👍👊

    Dude you don't Want the city fixing that. First they'll F it up even more and it'll take em at least 4 tries to get it right and ending up costing $100k.

    Zack, in a fix that covers a lot of ground like that, did you guys do anything around the repair to agitate the concrete and take out some of the air bubbles that might form and weaken the fix later? I don't know a lot about concrete so I thought that I would ask.

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  2 года назад +2

      It would be ideal for sure! In this process I think Joe aggregate it with the trowel.
