- Jay and Kenna sailed off from Victoria BC, Canada two years ago and have been sailing south ever since. Now, in the luscious lands of Costa Rica, they experience both the highs and lows that come with sailing and cruising offshore.Thank you for watching and subscribe if you enjoy!
Great job! Curacao in the Atlantic, located between Colombia and Venezuela is a wonderful hurricane hole.
@@rainfinger That’s great to know , we’re still exploring options for this upcoming hurricane season.
Looks like you're killin it man!
Thanks bro!
Amazing🤩 Will surely hop on adventure once were done rebuilding our 65' power catamaran!
The inside of Sitka is the coziest sailing boat I have seen so far. Despite the leaks you mentioned haha
That is so kind, thank you 🤗 we’re proud of our cozy little home, despite the leaks, yes 😂 Reporting back to you in real time, we have them fixed (for now lol)
Sitka is a beautiful boat, despite the at-anchor makeshift repairs! It's the difference between an actual cruising boat and some luxury superyacht that spends 99% of it's time in the marina. I love the boat-centric episodes that include lots of details about the realities of cruising - I'm taking notes, because I want to be out there someday soon. Of course I watch all the other episodes too. You get up to the most incredible adventures on shore. That tent thing on the beach was killing me, LOL. Talk about style! I want one!
Hi again!! Thanks for watching, we love that you enjoy our cruising episodes! Can’t wait for you to get out there yourself, it’s really the best lifestyle one can live!⛵️
As usual my Sunday is now complete lol I have had my Sitka fix , loved the monkeys it is amazing to watch them play in the trees. Can’t wait till next week, safe sailing you guys ❤️🇨🇦
The monkeys are a blast to watch! We hope you enjoy next week's episode as much as this one 🤗 Thanks for watching!!!
Love hearing soulmates wisdom at the beginning 💚
Love you so much 💚
The tent setup is selling the lifestyle fo sho! You look so french. I'm obsessed. Oui oui.
So are we!!! 😂⛺️
Cheering you on from Asia ! Great video
WOW! We aspire to bring Sitka there someday 🤗 Very cool, thank you so much for watching! Cheers!
I am in awe of how much you two do while at anchor. Bravo! And videos on top of it all- I’m finally putting together videos from our first year and it is so much work😳 love you guys~
Thanks for recognizing our hard work and dedication, appreciate it 🤗 Congrats to yourself for also putting in the work!! Editing videos isn’t for everyone that’s for sure!! Cheers, love and appreciate you too!
This episode knocked my socks off. I know everyone has different favourites but the intro to the episode topped them all!!! ❤❤❤❤❤.
@@dawnshine7491 woohoo!!! ❤️ Thank you so much!!

I have been watching your videos from the beginning and this is my first jump to "now". I like the changes and growth, both in presentation but also in personal growth..... old fart talking here (40years old.... in hexadecimal ;)
Music to our ears! We too think we have evolved over the years with our videos but it’s even better hearing it from our fellow viewers, thank you very much 🤗❤️
Great episode guys!! Watching with joy over here on Papillon…it’s like getting a sneak peek into what we will hope to do too!! Absolutely awesome. ❤ Cheers!!!
@@SailingPAPILLON Thank you for tagging along . How’s your boat coming along ?
@@sailingsitka She is coming along! We got all her chainplates installed and a few coats of barrier on the bottom before we had to head back to TX! :) Hope to be back to her soon!
❤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
🤗❤️⛵️
Loving your videos. I just found you guys. Very refreshing! Is your boat registered in Cayman? I lived there for 8 years and it looks like the flag ⛵️🩵🌴
Hey! Welcome! It actually the old Canadian red ensign that served as a nautical flag for candy between 1890-1960! We love the historical background of it and that is why we fly it 🤗 Happy to have you aboard our adventures!!!
Thanks for your description of the air & your feeling as you walked in Costa Rica gal.
So too of your squeeze's description of water at another locale being muddy, uninviting, & possibly dangerous to enter with potential man-eaters not visible.
As I walk Ginny-Girl(Australian Cattle-dog)today i'll say:
IT'S ☀️SUNNY!☀️, in remembrance of you.

Wow!!! So incredible 😌 Thank you very much for your kind words and support❤️ Loved that you enjoyed it!
Cheoy Leaky. I havea CL41, I know your pain.
@@randyboatright5099 Ain’t that the sad truth
I’m a sailor from Costa Rica.. sadly it seems that your research was terrible 😂😂. The most amazing beaches are in the Guanacaste area, and you missed all of them… there are many safe and calm anchorages in Guanacaste and the gulf of Nicola area… you also missed them….. Herradura is also the area with several big marine stores where you would have found the foot switch for sure…
@@svStargate sadly we couldn’t stop everywhere as at this point we had a general date for the Panama Canal and needed to keep on going to get to Panama City for a specific time. Costa Rica is beautiful and like you said, there is many beautiful places!!! Happy we got to experience a handful of them 😌⛵️
Do they have crocs in Costa Rica?
Sure do! Southern Mexico down to Panama is known to have crocodiles, that’s why when we swim or clean the boat we have to be very cautious! We’ve seen some from ashore🐊
@ I’m was surprised that your friend swam to the beach?
@ us too 😂😂 he was warned! Lol
No crocs in that area.. only in places close to estuaries..
Hey Kids, save ur money, don't do the canal, buy a water maker and go WEST across the Pacific and around to the Caribbean. Capt. Jim S/V Alberta Rose
Thanks for watching! We sail 6 months on and work 6 months off. Considering the prices of flying from the French pols area back to Canada didn’t make sense to us budget wise but hopefully one day we will get over there 🤗⛵️ Appreciate the comment!
