    Kenna, you have a magic way of being a wordsmith! I appreciated the way you described the sunrise at the beginning of the video. I could have seen the visuals with my eyes closed.

    Music, voice, story, great video and edits... Sailing Sitka has it all. Best organic sailing channel. Time for 5800 of us to share it a bunch to fuel this journey. I'll do my part.

    I really appreciate that Jay explains his reasoning in addition to explaining the processes you guys are filming. I really appreciate all the little tidbits! A lot of channels will be like, "this is how we do this thing," but its great to hear, "were doing this under these circumstances, but if this and that were different I'd do x or y." Thank you as always!!! ❤

    As a friend of mine says, all days are good; some are just better than others ! I'm really happy that you both find enjoyment, fulfillment and gratitude in the lifestyle you have chosen for now. Not very many people either do it or can do it and some understandably give up after a while. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us ! Be careful out there on the sea......

    Another amazing episode!!!! Nothing beats watching dolphins 🐬 play off your bow! One day I hope to see it in real life but in the mean time I’m content watching the videos. Thanks for always showing a little dolphin here and there for us. On the other hand I did get to experience a beautiful sunset on Sitka with a rum in my hand. 🥃 🌅

    Jay looked like he hated digging that giant anchor out, but it looks like something capable of doing the job for a 41' boat, especially when it counts, like kedging in an emergency. It looks so damned pointy! I'd be concerned it could pop my dingy, but I'm a worrier, LOL.

      I was also worried about the dinghy while doing it . 😅

    No chain on stern rode?

    • @sailingsitka
      @sailingsitka  13 дней назад

      No sadly , we sacrificed the 15 ft chain that used to be on it as our lock up chain for the dinghy . In 3 years of offshore cruising we’ve only stern anchored once but we do lock up the dinghy most places . That being said some chain on the stern anchor would definitely be a lot better than all rode.
