It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of a lifelong RC enthusiast and Horizonite, John Adams. John was a proud employee of Horizon Hobby for over 35 years and was dedicated to living out Horizon's purpose of inspiring dreams and building memories. He played instrumental roles in the development of many Spektrum products, including SAFE, AS3X, AVC, MS6X, and Smart technology that hobbyists enjoy today. Our heart goes out to his family, friends, and fellow RC enthusiasts.
John, you were inspirational, innovative, a friend, a mentor and a leader. You will always be a legend in the RC community. You will be forever in our hearts and minds as we progress Spektrum, Horizon Hobby, and all of RC to the future.

So sorry to hear of Johns passing. God bless his family and friends.
I think it is important to remember something few modelers do, and that is that companies like Horizon Hobby are filled with employees that are just like us...passionate hobbyists. John epitomized that in every way. We all have a lot of fun with the work these people do. Thank you John, and all the dedicated people that make this hobby great.
I am still saddened by his passing. It was a pleasure to be around, his generosity was unlike no other. I will miss talking to you at the airfield. God bless his family.
I'm missing him. I learned a lot over the past 15 years working with him. John was the man behind the UI design concepts for the DX, IX, and NX radios. Ease of use, customer success, and consistent and reliable operation were always at the forefront.
Thank you John for all of your technical contributions. I still watch and learn from past videos everytime i need help. My thoughts goes out to his family and close friends ❤
