It was a blast! Thousands of folks did go, and maybe some day you can came too!!! It's open to the public, but it's in Monticello, IL.

Glad you all got to spend time with Nate and Abby I love their little family and channel plus their fellow Kentuckians. Really hope to get to come next year would love to meet you all. Did y’all do any type of meet and greets with your fans there.
It was really our pleasure to meet Nate and Abby (and their Kids too) + Ryan (pilot Ryan) at RC Fest. Great people, and as expected we had a special connection with them, since we've all been through the same insanity over a long period of time, so not too many other people really "get it" - so it was awesome!
As for do any sort of meet and greet...we were there, but nothing formal. We may be doing another few events this year, if you'd like to meed us in person ;) Keep you eyes peeled - more to come soon!
I was there. got to see you, Nate and Ryan in the RC saylors tent. Was gonna ask for a group pic but you all looked exhausted. Definitely going again, it was a hoot!
I wish you would have asked! We were exhausted by the end of the day there, since we still had a 5 hour drive home, having left central Iowa at 3:55 AM that morning...I think we left Monticello, IL at about 11:30 PM or so...which was earlier than expected. Next time, definitely don't hesitate to stop and ask!!! We took pictures with everyone who asked, and will do that in the future as well. It can be hard to kinda "interrupt" whoever was talking to us at the time, but please do, even if it means we jump away for a second. We really want to make sure people get to meet us when we go to these events.
Anyway, glad you came out to RC Fest, and hope to see you later this year, if we hit another event or two, and thanks for being here with us!!!

It's was great to meet you with my family. We meet late on Saturday after fireworks, asked you for the patented "You Tube its Brian Phillips". thanks to you both for saying hello and helping give my 9/o daughter inspiration to start flying..Maybe do a video of you budding Megan too..
Appreciate again, how much help your content has given me over the years.. my wife and I discussed trekking out to Joe Nall in the future, appreciate you sharing your experience of the grounds.

It seems like some sort of friendly jabbing. Reminds me of when I was performing music. From the stage we would say things like: if you're having a great time we are "our band name" and if not then we're called "another band name" if one of the other band members was in the audience.
It’s been fun in the past when I’ve attended. It’s just unfortunate they didn’t allow open flying this year. I didn’t go for that reason.

LOL - These were used for the TRIAL FLIGHTS at the event. Most were given away to spectators - except I think a few were the employee's personal planes.

Watching 3d helis makes my brain hurt. I just can’t track what’s happening. It looks like chaos all the time, so I never know what’s good flying, or what’s awesome lol
100000% agree, and wish I could figure out how to do it. I suspect they're just slamming the sticks, but they never seem to crash!?!??!! I won't give up, but still think it just means a lot of time on the sticks to get good enough to look like you know what you're doing.
I watched Live on Pilot Ryan's show, and this was a seriously fun and funny evening. It was great seeing all the YT personalities at one event having fun. It felt more genuine and relatable than Joe Nall. More like a local club event than a giant impersonal show.
Yeah, RC Fest is very different experience from Joe Nall, but Joe Nall is also amazing. For us, RC Fest is a blast too, and so many people who we get to meet, and interact with - it's a blast!

Did you say it was FREE??? I contacted Horizon Hobby when I first heard of this months ago and asked them about ticket prices. I was told tickets were 45 bucks plus 10 or so for parking. I wasn't going to drive for hours and hours just to pay 55 bucks to watch other people fly their planes. Oshkosh (Air Venture) tickets are cheaper and have a much bigger bang for the buck. I would have gone to this and given them 10 bucks for parking if the event was free.
Admission was free, with $10 parking, which got you a $15 credit at the store...so you actually got a $5 savings IF you bought something. We parked for free, but only because they thought we worked there b/c my shirt looked just like the employees - LOL LOL LOL LOL - and we had made it the night before.

LOL - I think I might have been a bit closer to the camera ;) - But really, I think Nate has a 1 or 2 inches of height on me. I new he said he was 6' 3" or so, but I didn't feel like he was that much taller than me. I'm about 6'1" or 6'2" if the life insurance guy is asking ;)
