I have been using #8 for awhile now and love it. I play sleep sounds from RUclips and my phone shuts off automatically

Just about there. I don't know if it's beneficial but I close out of all apps, shut it down, reboot > settings > general >software update. After it's updated I go to the App Store and check for upcoming updates and update them all before checking out the settings to change.

Regarding ping my phone or watch. Sound of pinging is good; however, for those of us that are hearing impaired the pinging is difficult. I have a Cochlear Implant, I can hear the ping but have a difficult time identifying where it is--ping combined with flashing light would be a game changer for the hearing impaired. How do we suggest this to Apple?
90% Of these tips were available on 17.4 or earlier. And I’ve use the sleep timer for about six or seven years now

I can’t get the iwatch icon to appear after following instructions to be able to “ping” from my iPhone. Other icons appear, but this one doesn’t. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I just wanna say thank you because without these we don’t know in these features I probably would’ve had to buy like five brand new batteries by now and probably a new phone because it would’ve got hacked or something. Whenever I set my phone to light mode my wallpaper completely turns to a negative picture but appears normal when set to dark mode.also my wallpaper appears negative briefly when my whenever my phone is awakened then back to normal in both light mode and dark mode.Both smart invert and classic invert are off but still can you help? especially when light mode is on all my pictures turns to negative? @@PayetteForward Probably. Good odds I'm not in Apple's main iPhone demographic. I suspect my 15 month-old iPhone 13 will last me until it can no longer be iOS updated, or it gets damaged beyond repair. Being a relatively low-power iPhone user, I'm curious if my need of this iPhone will outlast the health of the original battery, hence my interest in the extra battery information (like cycle counts).

I am in Australia and my iOS on iPhone 15 Pro Max is 17.5.1, but many of the features you list do not appear on my phone. E.g. Automatic Verification. Very dissapointing!

Hey guys- I’m having an issue with my iPhone 14. In iMessaging - when I “like, heart, haha, dislike” a picture or a message, the microphone turns on and starts recording. Anyone else experience this? I haven't found too many changes, for better or for worse. iOS 17.5 was a pretty underwhelming update!

Apple needs to update stolen device protection where in unfamiliar locations face id will have a timer if fails twice or enter your passcode immediately or wait for face id or touch ID timers to pass but it should be any location for this as long as stolen device protection is enabled and this is part of apples mission to eradicate the passcode before 2030

Okay I am very unhappy with Apple. They updated their iOS this week and now I have to reassign *all* of my contacts text tones since they separated the text and ringtones. Found this out today when I got a text from my father & his notifications tone changed to the “ ‘default’not in contacts” sound! I don’t really like any of the options in the Text Tone Category!
I thought they had deleted those tones. But no just separated them, they won’t let you use them interchangeably anymore

Wait a minute so the EU has a better features than we do in the United States with iPhones? That is crazy my iPhone 14+ was an iOS 17.2.1. It was a beautiful thing I was able to Sydow anything and use ESign and everything and for some crazy reason I updated to 17.5.1 and now everything is screwed.

Sleep timer... this is one of the things that Siri actually does well. Whenever media playing, say "hey Siri set a sleep timer for 20 minutes". This will start a timer and set the "sound" to stop playing.

David you may see this you may not but anyone that can help me would be awesome. I have an Iphone 15 pro max and it will not ring everytime a call comes in or notifiy me of texts. I can power it off and back on and it may ring one time a day. I spent hours on the phone with Apple and they could not tell me what was wrong or verizion. Anyone have any suggestions. TIA.
Did you try a forced restart. If yes, reset your network settings with Verizon on the phone.
Interesting - have you tried seeing if do not disturb is on? If it's off, I'd recommend also seeing if your notification alarms are off. It's in a similar place as do not disturb. If you swipe down from the top right corner of the screen you'll find an assortment of icons - make sure the bell icon is not crossed out! After that, check if do not disturb is off, it's the little moon icon and if it's on it will be a blue color! Let me know if these help at all! These settings usually don't reset when you turn off the phone and back on which would explain why turning it off and on doesn't work.
