This ending was like when you write an essay in 2nd grade and then end it with it all being a dream and the teacher tells you that you can’t do that 😂😂😂

@@jerodmayoINC idk dude I like happy endings and this was definitely a happier one than if they weren't sent in the past and had to deal with all what the world would think of them after volcanos started erupting and seconds later suddenly dissapered lol.
This is what happens when writers come up with a cool concept and start the show without actually coming up with an answer for the core mystery in advance.
She wasn't possessed, just mentally ill. I did have misgivings about her character during her 'romance' with Pete. I mean even if he had some good in him, the dude was a convict and pretty much took part in a lot of criminal activities with the meth heads. I didn't realize it at the time but after Season 3, it makes so much sense that Angelina was being set up as the big bad from the get go.
Unfortunately, there are too many real life zealots like Angelina out here misguiding people who honestly are just looking for something to believe in. 😢
Wait, how are they blaming the pilot for the plane going missing for 5 years and then returning? Like that is obviously out of his control unless there is a skip 5 years button he pressed.
The thing is, we know what is going on (for the most part) but place yourself in the shoes of an outside observer within the show. I would reasonably blame the pilot for the disappearance since he was the one flying. When something bad happens, you always want to point to someone to put the blame on. No better than the ones in charge.
SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE SERIES There's a lot this video does not tell. There's an episode in which they rewind to the moment the captain and co-cpt encounter that bright flash of the divine consciousness while in the storm. The co-cpt suggest to get out of the storm but the cpt insits on going forward through the storm and as he goes in thats when the turbulence happens. So yeah, in conclusion, he's to blame for the whole shit to happen in the fist place.
Whoa…. I’m glad this show completed and did not end with a cliff hanger. But my goodness it seems like they just slapped the ending together with paper clips and glitter glue.
That's because Netflix had to. It was originally planned for 5 seasons. Each year they had till the death date. Cbs cancelling it after 3 seasons means Netflix had to rush the ending (hench the detention centre jumping 9 months) tbh I thought the ending was good. Rushed but good, everything concluded and making sense.
Even through the final season, it felt suddenly rushed when they skipped 8 months, and then 2 days left. Like the writers were just writing random subplots for the first half of part 2 and then cobbled together something out of cobwebs and glue for the ending.
Thanks! I stopped watching after s2, rarely do that, but this show got soo convoluted and I stopped caring enough about the characters. This recap was more than enough for me. Glad I saw this and didn’t go down that journey in real time. 🥳
The begining of the show was cool. I liked the concept and all that. The mystery had me going until it started to become weird. Thank you for saving my time!
Thank you for this recap. You confirmed my suspicion that this show would be a convoluted mess. I'm so glad I stuck to my decision to not watch it. Lost got me. I'll be damned if I get tricked again LOL!
i dont care what this video makes it sound like this was a great show, and that says something coming from me as i am for the most part very critical of shows. 100% worth the watch.
Same! The premise fascinated me and I was excited to start the journey of Manifest. A couple episodes in, I realized that it was going in a direction that felt all too familiar- and not in a good way. Plus, some of the poor acting put me off. Well, scrolling through RUclips, this video popped up in my feed. I thought I’d check it out to see what ever came of the show. Like you, I feel as though I averted a tragedy, haha. Glad I didn’t invest my time or energy into watching the entire series.
@@fupalover Christian propaganda? The show pulls from all kinds of mythology. The mythological basis of their judgement (pretty integral to the story) is based on the Egyptian god, Maat. In fact, the one character in the show that was truly convinced the passengers experiences were biblical in nature is shown to be insane and becomes a psuedo-villain in the story.
In my opinion, there's no alternate reality, it has always been one reality only. The passengers did die, then got resurrected with powers across space and time. They just have no memories of their deaths. And when the passengers proved their worth, just before the world is ended and when the plane flew into the Glow, all of the regular folks (including Olive, Jared, Drea, etc...the world), got transported back to 2013 with no memories. The whole point of the show is that everyone is on the same lifeboat, except only 828 passengers can retain memories in order to make the world (regular folks) a better place. Cal being the special case, because he lost his childhood, now he can have one again by not having any memory. Alternate reality would mean every regular folk in the original reality died, though I'm pretty sure the writers would have known that it would make all character's progresses pointless. Kinda like why did the 828's passengers get second chance with Copy and Paste version of their families and friends, while their original families and friends got burnt in the apocalypse. The original Olive, Eden, Jared and Drea would have suffered terrible deaths? It's not that kind of show. Because this show hints there is a God, so I think he hits the reset button, but instead of creating alternate reality, it's still the same reality. He transported the world back to 2013 and stopped the apocalypse. The series finale actually has a deleted scene (you can find this on RUclips), Captain Dally is back, and Vance saw him exploded in the cockpit. I think the show wanted to hint that this time, the whole world will be judged, as this will be the real deal. The first time is just a test run by God, to see what 191 people would have done. But now, he wants to test 8 billion people. So, 828ers with memories would have to save the world, for real this time. But luckily it was deleted, because it would have contradicted the points above and because Netflix doesn't want to make another season.
I dont remember why i got invested in this show or why i spent hours watching weird plot twists but after all im just glad the plane landed safely in the end
My mom and I agree that it seems like that had 2 groups of writers for the last season. Group A would write the plot for 2 weeks but then Group B would get it and be like "that's not how I want it to go" and retcon everything. Then it just went back and forth until the show was over lol
Olive is the best character, she has been through so much and still so strong and positive, she appeared more powerful in each scene. And in the end part Zeke 's expression are so nice to see 😄
Nah she's a cheater. The idiot writers made her cheat on TJ for no reason, she could have just been good friends with Levi and Angelina would still have been jealous of their friendship cause she's desperately lonely.
I was kinda hoping we'd get a reveal on what caused the callings, time travel and objects manifesting out of thin air. I think it would be pretty disappointing and lazy to just conclude with "it was the divine consciousness".
Nah like it literally didn't matter what caused it. It wasn't a show about "is divine consciousness real and how does it work?". It was a show about relationships and what really matters in life.
Everything that happened was part of their judgment. The entire 5 and a half years for them (11 years for everyone else) was a simulation if you will. None of it actually happened.
The creator of the show planned for 6 seasons with the whole thing planned out. After NBC cancelled it, Netflix picked up the show but only for one season. So they were kind of forced to quickly wrap things up as best they could. I still love the show and can only imagine how much better it could have been given the time the creator planned for.
The way Ben and Kayla are consistently out of breath with every line they deliver every season was ridiculous. The show got more ridiculous as the seasons continued. 😂😂😂
Man. I am so glad I didn’t finish this show. It’s been on my list but I’d be so mad if I watched all the way through just for that ending. Thank you for the recap!
Yeah ending was not that good. I hoped that they would just stayed in 2024 with all the people they met and build relationships with. I was even more sad about the fact all those people were now abadoned in the alternate universe or whatever and wondering if their beloved ones would ever come back again.
It would be cool to see a movie about manifest about the “new world” they created and If Eden is born again and Zeke and Michaela relationship, Cal getting healed and more
I want to know what comes in the new timeline because the events of zeke, jace, kory, Pete and Griffin haven't happened yet. They haven't been taken from time yet so would still exist and are still yet to be taken because its made clear if you fail your judgement you're taken at the moment you "died" but like Angelina played a hand in the events of jace, Pete and kory, now she can't so those events play out differently. Now the stones know their fates, do they step in to help save them all? Do their fates always end that way regardless of intervention? If the stones don't step in they get to play God with others lives and would that not potentially change their judgement?
@@felicityanne979 I remember in one episode they mentioned that zeke and the other jumps happened as a consequence of 828, like an earthquake and the tremors.. so if the airplane jump didn't happen neither will the rest, I think.. and their judgement can't be changed, it already happened so they're not being judged anymore
I didnt know that this show went on for so long. Most of the comments here didn't give me a lot of hope for a good ending but i loved it! Thank you for the recap ❤
I loved this show. Yes it was crazy and bizarre and the supernatural nature of the premise allowed the writers to pull things out of their ass in a way that you couldn't really question it because "no one knows how it works", but the show was great because of the relationships and emotional moments for me.
This show just got more and more ridiculous, and I hate time travel stories where the reset button gets hit. But I loved every second of it and wouldn’t change a thing 😂
It got so out of hand with all the religions stuff but i honestly enjoyed every minute of the mystery. Ending was sooo predictable and it was just dull.
I tried to find ways of how they could end it better because I also hate the rewind button or the "it was all a dream" conclusion which this basically ends up being, but I honestly can't find a more happy ending that ties everything nicely. Would've preferred that after the judgment, they landed back on the same volcano-torn earth with the volcano subsiding, but that just means they would all be even more hated and imprisoned.
My biggest question is is what happened to the future parts of themselves. Like what happened to old Olive and Jared, Andrea and Eden they never really explained clear way. Those characters fared after they conquered their death day. If someone can answer this question I would be much appreciated. And before you say that never happened, that’s not the case because it did happen as all the characters had artifacts from when they were in the Divine consciousness.
@@Aryamoony see though you said probably I wish they were clearer or maybe even showed them dying or something, during the apocalypse scene instead of giving birth… idk I just was pretty confused with the ending haha loved the show so much though
What about Zeke? He and Michaela had this heart wrenching goodbye where she saw visions of him and heended up going back to the cave to relive his time with her but now at the finale it's back to 2013 and the cave didn't happen til 2018 so in this new timeline does the hike to the cave not happen...
I wish they could start it back up following where the government is investigating what happened to the 11 missing passengers but it would most likely end up with all passengers being put in mental detention centers all over again. This show was unbelievably excellent. It requires your attention. It truly was all connected.
I see a lot of hate in the comments but, I’m not too much of a critic when it comes to shows so I enjoyed very bit of it. I just finished the season finale 30 mins ago and I feel like a part of me died since I’ve been watching it for 3 years. This show was amazing and definitely going in as one of the best shows I’ve watched
I'm still watching the video but one thing you got wrong is that Sanvi didn't stop receiving callings because she killed The Major or because of her guilt. You skipped the fact that she found the cure to the callings and injected herself before Ben figured out about the lifeboat.
The most hilarious part of the series is the final episode when the Angel of death appears on the plane and the passengers just literally talked him out of killing them. I did love the show from start to finish it really hooked me in at the beginning and I’m glad Netflix swooped in and saved it because I was devastated when NBC cancelled it. I always thought Ben and Saanvi would have a thing (I was hoping they’d end up together not just a 1 night stand like what was the point) and I actually preferred Michaela with Zeke. She had history and chemistry with Jared but the timing was never right so I really didn’t want to see them together. It was a satisfying ending for the most part but it was clearly rushed and left unanswered questions. For instance captain Dally was murdered in the detention center but when they landed back in 2013 no one questioned why only 1 pilot got off the plane. They did address that the 11 passengers who blew up ended up missing in real life but what does that mean now ? Because that’s an entirely new storyline 😂
The original creator of the show pitched 6 Seasons to NBC before the show started production and I'm pretty sure the 11 missing passengers from the finale was a lead in to a potential Season 5 had Netflix decided to continue on. There's even a deleted scene where Vance and the NSA Agents are in the plane questioning the co pilot about Captain Daly, when he reappears in the cockpit and disintegrates like Angelina and her acolytes. So there's still a lot of story left to be told with these characters.
Captain Dally was a question I had as well. Everyone else that died before judgment came back so shouldn't he and the woman he kidnapped? I thought he was going to walk out with them but he didn't.
@@jkrenee The woman he kidnapped does come back. She is seen coming out of the airport along with all the other passengers who had died before judgement day. The ones from the club fire and other incidents. Only Captain Daly is missing, but his fate is in the deleted scene.
I love the show, wasn't a huge fan of the ending, but also, Manifest's ending is 1000% the ending The 100 should have had. If they were going to go with the whole divine judgment thing, Manifest did it properly.
This is my last 'the-producers-don't-know-how-they're-going-to-end-it' "concept" show. They're either cancelled with no ending, cancelled with a hastily put together ending, or have the same flat ending - every convoluted thing that happened in the show is explained by them being dead, in limbo land, divine consciousness... Meh. It's not satisfying.
I don’t understand why u think it was not the intented ending. Don’t u see how it made perfect sense. It is all connected. If u can‘t see how suitable this ending was then u haven’t understood anything about the divine consciousness, the path to redemption and the memories that made all those passengers better.
@@eddfroz209 I was talking about this type of show in general. Other examples: Under The Dome (cancelled, no ending), Extant (cancelled, no ending), God Friended Me (cancelled, hastily put together ending)... JJ Abrams said back then that they had no idea how they were going to end Lost (flat ending). As for Manifest, I didn't even watch S4 because I'd lost interest.
The creator did know how he was going to end it. He planned 6 seasons, but when Netflix only gave him one more season he was forced into a hurry up mode to pull everything together best they could.
I don’t understand why taking a Christian viewpoint is a bad thing? I don’t go to church or read the bible. Catholic school was a bad experience for me. However, and I never felt the show was too preachy or pushy. They just took mythology, combined it with a very secular approach to bible studies, and that was it. It was the preachy person who didn’t make it.
The show started off with a strong premise then just went on a wild goose chase with meaningless plot points and dead ends. Wouldve been a good limited series because they should’ve gotten to the point a lot more quickly. I skipped to the last episode of the last season and was still confused
People complain about the christianity parts, but personally as someone whose always been pushed away from christianity, this sh,t was interesting, not imma go join a church intresting but ‘oh hey yall made it worth a watch’ but also not worth binging ya know? Like it would really have been a favourite back during the height of cable ya know?
Even though you could tell it went for a Christian touch during the seasons - it went full blown in the last episode and it was too much!! Plus we still don’t know the main question: why did this all happen in the first place?!! LOL 5 years invested in this show and we still don’t know why they went missing for 5 years. Plus the love triangle between Mic, Jared and Zeke was a waste of time for a storyline. There was only a build up for 4 seasons and then the execution of it was “blaaaahh”.. The break up at the airport was ridiculous! For 4 seasons there was a “will they won’t they” - kind of thing and then it ended with: -Yeah.. we’re not right for each other.. -Ok! Bye bye! Off to the next girl right away 😂 I’m ok with the one Mic ended up with but they should have cut off the other guys story way sooner. It wasn’t believable how quickly he accepted it.
Just finished this series and it's actually good. But I did skip a few episodes towards the end bc I'm bored. The ending did seem rushed but at least it's a happy ending for some of them 🎉
They had to combine what had been planned to be seasons 4 and 5 into one season, because that's all Netflix would pay for. So if it seemed rushed, that's probably why.
Here is what actually happened. When the plane went missing they all were gone for 5 years in their reality. And then in another seemingly similar reality although other parallel-reality they came back 5 years laters. And they were set out to save that dying parallel earth which they assume is their native reality, The divine did this to see if they had the power to do so. However when the divine saw that they not all succeeded in this task he vaporized those who were not pure of heart (the 11 passengers) and version of earth. And returned the victorious ones to an alternate reality of their dreams because they had learned what means the most to them. So in conclusion the 5 Year Time span Earth wherein they had the callings and had to go through all sorts of trials was a parallel version of earth that ultimately was destroyed by the divine, since the "chosen participants" could not save the earth, so that Jared, Olive, Eden everyone on that version died!. They then flew back as if the plane never crashed to begin with and arrived at the terminal only to see they were never gone. And living their dream life. However they just migrated timelines thats why they have the memory recall, because it really happened!. Its a simple but powerful message that says, "love what you have" Each character in the show went through the lessons of loss And those that returned were able to accept the loss and move forward only to realize they didn't lose anything and appreciate it all thus more than ever before. But there is no doubt about it there is a Parallel Earth version connected to this TV Show eventhough it may not be obvious. Earth 1 (Original Timeline) - Where the plane went missing and never returned. (All passengers died). Earth 2 (The bridge timeline) - Where the plane went missing but came back years after. (Calling timeline where they got visions of the Earth 1 Timeline) Earth 3 (Alternate Timeline) - Where the plane never went missing and things picked up where they left it. (Passengers return to a timeline where they get to live their reward).
One of the best explanations I've seen yet. Only there are four timelines. The ones that you mentioned, and another one where the flight never takes off.
@@SirJoelsuf1 If we play by those standards then we can also say that there were 7 timelines. an extra one where the plane lost a tire upon ascend and another where it bursted into flames as it was taking off. LOL I mean i think there were particularly 3 timelines. From what we see from the show. Because they suddenly disappeared, then re-appeared in another and then returned to the last one. That in all contains 3 seperate parallel realities. unless i missed something..
@@shawnburgess9870 No you misunderstand Earth 1 is just the one where they disappeared from and never returned to and this causes grace, olive etc to never see ben return in that reality. Earth 2 is or was depending on how you view it the one that is or was gonna be destroyed. But the version of the characters there now realize all the passengers are gone/died. hence the tombstone drawing comes about. Earth 3 is the version where they simply are placed into a reality where they simply return, but with the advanced knowledge of events and what is dearest to them in life. But all other parallel versions have their own outcome. That grace from Earth 1 most likely starts a life with Danny etc without Ben coming back. So the whole intention of the divine was to teach the lesson to do good, to be good and treasure what you have, because they were all faced with losing something, which they in the end found again on the Earth 3 version as soon as they re-emerged.
This is a good explanation. Instead of it being a rewind button, it is a multiverse. And the callings they experienced are like dreams in the MCU where all dreams we experienced are actually different multiverses (ref: Dr Strange, Multiverse of Madness)
Some things I still don’t get after finishing the show (or maybe cause the show stretched on too long for me to retain and connect all the bits): 1. What was the point of the calling getting them to save Angelina when the she was just wreaking havoc throughout and til the end? 2. Why bother bringing back Daly and Fiona when they were gonna get killed off? What would they have even told the rest if they managed to survive Angelina’s manipulation? 3. Which brings me to this point - if they entered the glow to be basically tested and then return to the “og timeline”, then did Daly and Fiona get tested twice when Daly decided to fly again into the glow? 🤨🤔
1. The entire 5 years after 828 landed was a test for the passengers, Angelina is also taking this test but is also a test question at the same time. How the other passengers handle running into her is also a part of when it comes to deciding their fate. E.g. Ben having to forgive her for killing Grace(which I still don't think Angelina deserves but eh). By the end, her only purpose was to be someone else's character development. It didn't really matter anymore that she was forgiven, she was already def decided to be killed off as she failed the test. Angelina herself already failed the test. She was only there at the end as she is still a test question that they haven't yet finished answering. 2. Daly and Fiona have future information because of them being in the glow. This was I think revealed when Cal remembered that he saw them in the glow + Zeke was also in the glow with info he can't reveal to Michaela. They could've gotten info on what to do next. 3. I don't understand this one. Wdym?
The simple and true answer is that the writers never had any proper idea of how to end things. They just made up subplots along the way up till the 2nd half of season 4 part 2. When they jumped to 8 months later is when the writers finally started cobbling things up for the finale.
Haha tbh this show is really unpredictable and kinda hard to guess how it will end. It’s like Lost that you will have a hard time understanding what will happen later. So even if the ending was kinda rushed, I still liked the way they end it. There’s just a lot of hard to explain things since it’s science fiction and religion combined in 1. Well another show that ended this way is Dark. Altho that one was tragic and a very complicated one since they competely eliminated every major character when they fixed everything in the end and the timeline also reset. Glad to know this did not happen here in Manifest tho. Dark creator has everything envisioned with just few episodes and seasons, with Manifest they had to suddenly fit everything on one season.
The show never explained why were they chosen. Also I want to find out what happened to 2024 Jarred, Olive and Drea. Did Olive lose all of her family? What happened to the rest of the world?
Characters: Ben Michaela Cal Olive Jared Saanvi Vance Grace Zeke Drea Angelina Pete Jace Kory Troy Danny Lourdes Tarik TJ Levi Steve Gupta Zimmer Daly Fiona Bethany Eagan Adryan Eden Alex Sarah Kathryn Jordan Polly Violet Autumn Beaverly Kate Griffin
I'd be intrigued to know what happens in the new timeline tbh because the passengers all remember the events (apart from cal) but the events of Jace, Pete, Kory, Griffin and zeke haven't taken place yet in the new timeline so because they haven't "died" yet they all still exist. Would the stones help them to correct their fates before hand or not. Can the passengers interviene in future events or do they have to let the event play out.
@Charlie Daniels I agree with zeke and tariq but that's not the only events that will be changed. Like the guy who kidnaps the 2 little girls in season 1 he is nothing to do with the flight, if he still kidnaps them Mic still knows it was him and does she wait till the day she found them in the OG timeline knowing she will find them alive? Or does she prevent them ever being kidnapped. And do the drug dealers still "die" and return because in which case if the do the Stones have the information to redeem them all and can pass that information on like Al-Zurus did. And like Angelina played a part in the drug dealer arc but she's now dead so cant. Do the stones step in early and try and save their mother? Maybe take her to get checked out sooner and get treatment sooner 🤔 anyone on that plane who survived can now play God for the next 11 years.
Thanks! Somewhere in the middle of episode 5 I found myself unable to keep watching, but I was still curious if they've actually managed to make it all come together. As I suspected, they haven't. I'm at peace now.
So a couple of unanswered questions: 1) what happened to that detention center warden lady? Was hoping she would have burst into flames too 🤭 2) so was captain Dally part of the 11 missing passengers at the end? Having a missing plane is one thing, but having a handful of missing people would be even more unbelievable than this story already is. The rest of the surviving passengers would be questioned for the rest of their lives 😮
So I'm assuming the 11 missing passengers are... Angelina and her followers making 8.. so presumably the additional 3 (which are irredeemable characters) are characters we never meet or died earlier in the shows run who would have failed their judgement anyway. Captain Daly possibly being one of them because it's made clear that fiona returned, so I can't see why Daly's fate would not have been explained if he didn't fail his judgment.
@@felicityanne979 ahh makes sense. So Angelina and the crazy 8, Fionna, and any other earlier season characters makes sense. I just figured it would be tougher to explain the missing pilot. But I guess trying to apply any logic is pretty useless at this point 😜
@@felicityanne979 Wait I thought it was Angelina + her top 2 crazies, Randel and a bunch of others . Though Kelly suvived (her and her husband own a mall which they used to harbor illegal immigrants, but if they did not give them a cut of profits he would call immigration) don't recall details but surely she'd be 1 of 11?
@Charlie Daniels so Kelly definitely survived because she's the one at the end of the finale saying "I'm ready to own my truth" but we don't meet all 191 passengers and crew, it only has to be 3 others that are irredeemable. We don't know what happens to Capt. Daly which is odd because we know fiona survives and it seems like Daly should have too. But some of the passengers died off screen too so its most likely them. I'm gunna go back through all 4 seasons and see what I can pick up now 😊
It's Angelina's group making 8. That one dude from Ben's group who was a lazy fuck and 2 off screen ones. Daly and Fiona most likely survived as Fiona was mentioned to have returned after they got out of the glow at the end, implicitly also confirming Daly's return as they are the same case.
I just started watching this show and I liked it at first but then from one second of meeting a stranger Mikaela all of a sudden forgets the man she wanted to marry and was "so in love" with to be with a random guy. I feel bad for the character Jared, they did him wrong... thank you for the full recap, I don't think I'll finish watching the show 😅
I managed to make it to the end of season 1. No one had a clue what they were doing and it shows. This show had potential, and I think is a great reboot/rehab project.
This recap didn't do justice to such a marvelous series.... It is kinda scary. I will not be able to recover from how good this was... Cannot be replaced for a long time
the way this show went full christian apocalypse with the judgements and plagues is ridiculous. thanks for the recaps. glad I didn't waste time on the final season
Yup! You’re lucky you saved yourself from that awful nonsense! I felt the same way! It’s just a Christian propaganda clichè dooms day show. I wish I could go back five years and tell myself how this show would end and never wasted five years!
I got hooked after season 1 eventhough I knew back then that this show is never gonna get a proper ending with everything tied up nicely, just based off of the wild twisty road the first season took. But each episode just kept getting me glued. I hate that I kept wanting to find out more even when I knew every episode will just provide more questions than answers. Glad it finally finished though even with that mess of an ending. This must be what people who followed Lost felt.
I don’t get anyone who hates the ending. I mean this is not a “just a dream” kind of story? Instead, this is a journey filled with love, hatred, sadness, forgiveness, despair and hope and this “just a dream” ending is exactly what the characters earned from going through this journey. Thanks manifest ; it’s been a good 5 years with you 828ers❤
Yeah I wasn't sure how they would end it off! But this ending definitely makes sense! The only sad part was that Michaela and Jared didn't end up together 😭😭😭
The reason why people are mad is because it effectively made everything that happened before feel like it was pointless. Sure, they had to do all that to end up where they did and in some regards, they deserve their second chance. But at the same time the past five years of us watching the show got rendered null and void because they got that second chance.
@Lily eww Jared is a hoe. And I'm glad she decided to be with our babe Zeke instead. This man was still in love with her while having sex with every woman that came his way. Including the majors daughter, he has absolutely no standards. And he cheated on his wife instead of just going through with a divorce first. Then had no shame having sex with Drea. This man married the best friend, had sex with an Xer, then the major's daughter, then Drea.
It was nice edning for me but it seems like they crammed everything, like what was angelina's purpose then? I know she's cray but it felt like there's more to it. Also i wish they showed what happened to their old time line. If they showed it got destroyed then it was fine for me since eveything got a redo but it still felt weird how they just left us hanging about that. Are olive and eden still waiting for them to return? Did drea and jared had their baby? Honestly it was a nice ending but it wasnt fulfilling or anything, it felt lacking.
This started as a very very interesting premise and I was so eager to watch the first season. Then by second season I was not even looking for any further season.
This ending was like when you write an essay in 2nd grade and then end it with it all being a dream and the teacher tells you that you can’t do that 😂😂😂

This is what happens when writers come up with a cool concept and start the show without actually coming up with an answer for the core mystery in advance.
Sooo Lost😂
Im just glad i came here after just watching 4 episodes
Not what happened. The plan was a six season story, but NBC cancelled the series and Netflix only renewed it for 1 season
The first episode had me interested. Then it just sloooooooooooooooooowed to a crawl after that.
@@Irishonfirelost wasn't like that, the writers had a cool plan but mostly because of network involvement and the strikes the show suffered
i am so glad i watched this, i was at the point where stuff started to get stupid. Thank you for saving hours of my time
Sapphire Powers!! 🤣
same
More like days or even a month😅
I stopped watching the show. It’s good to know how it ended……and that it did finally end lol
Me too
So Angelina was indeed possessed after all like her parents claimed 😅

Skip 5 years buttons were discontinued from standard aircrafts in 2019.
Because he flew straight and not up since he flew straight the storm hit them
But didn't they later say the storm followed them
The thing is, we know what is going on (for the most part) but place yourself in the shoes of an outside observer within the show. I would reasonably blame the pilot for the disappearance since he was the one flying. When something bad happens, you always want to point to someone to put the blame on. No better than the ones in charge.
SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE SERIES
There's a lot this video does not tell.
But my goodness it seems like they just slapped the ending together with paper clips and glitter glue.
they kinda had to cause they had to fit 3 seasons into 1
That's because Netflix had to. It was originally planned for 5 seasons. Each year they had till the death date. Cbs cancelling it after 3 seasons means Netflix had to rush the ending (hench the detention centre jumping 9 months) tbh I thought the ending was good. Rushed but good, everything concluded and making sense.
Yup and most likely it was them being sent back into the past to have their second chance it was a good ending.
🤣😭🤣
Even through the final season, it felt suddenly rushed when they skipped 8 months, and then 2 days left. Like the writers were just writing random subplots for the first half of part 2 and then cobbled together something out of cobwebs and glue for the ending.
The amount of times the word "miraculously" has been used
I am so glad I saw the series finale because this show took me on a wild ride
Thank you for this recap. You confirmed my suspicion that this show would be a convoluted mess. I'm so glad I stuck to my decision to not watch it. Lost got me. I'll be damned if I get tricked again LOL!
When you watch the recap it doesn’t make any sense it’s a whole other story to watch the real thing
i dont care what this video makes it sound like this was a great show, and that says something coming from me as i am for the most part very critical of shows.
@@yesitislikethat The premise was interesting. But turned into a bunch of Christianity propaganda.
Angelina drove me insane 🙄. Loved the ending.
She was a great villain
The worst thing Angelina did was to manipulate Eden into killing Fiona. She made a four-year-old a killer.
Glad I bailed after half way through season 1. Even this recap was way too long to sit through 😂
My mom and I agree that it seems like that had 2 groups of writers for the last season.
I wad looking for those answers too.
I still dont understand what the DC is and why they were there 5 years.
Why the world was going to end in 2024??
@@petercriscuoladc is just god
@@PG-po2st so they were into god 5 years?? What??
Nah like it literally didn't matter what caused it. It wasn't a show about "is divine consciousness real and how does it work?". It was a show about relationships and what really matters in life.
Everything that happened was part of their judgment. The entire 5 and a half years for them (11 years for everyone else) was a simulation if you will. None of it actually happened.
I'm so happy I dropped the show. It screams nothing was planned for the mystery. It sucks, because it was an amazing concept
It's a lot like Lost.
It has to be genetic 🤷🏻♀😁
@@VelnixFilms No but they were living in the future so that world is no more- It never was-

I’m glad I dropped this show after mid first season, thanks for the recap!
THANK YOU FOR THIS RECAP!!! Saved me so much time
It would be cool to see a movie about manifest about the “new world” they created and If Eden is born again and Zeke and Michaela relationship, Cal getting healed and more
I want to know what comes in the new timeline because the events of zeke, jace, kory, Pete and Griffin haven't happened yet.
When that plane arose out the lava I almost lost it. OMG 🤦🏾♂️🤣

this is so convoluted... it's a wonder it lasted so long!!
This show just got more and more ridiculous, and I hate time travel stories where the reset button gets hit.
But I loved every second of it and wouldn’t change a thing 😂
same here brother LMAO, Especially i hate it when the ad religious vibes on the show but still ...pretty damn good!
It got so out of hand with all the religions stuff but i honestly enjoyed every minute of the mystery. Ending was sooo predictable and it was just dull.
@@chandana_s_m always complaining.
@@akmal94ibrahim every bit this…
My biggest question is is what happened to the future parts of themselves.
They are an alternative timeline. That probably got erased
@@Aryamoony see though you said probably I wish they were clearer or maybe even showed them dying or something, during the apocalypse scene instead of giving birth… idk I just was pretty confused with the ending haha loved the show so much though
I reckon they just lived in the alternate reality. The 828 passengers disappeared to the past on the plane.
What about Zeke? He and Michaela had this heart wrenching goodbye where she saw visions of him and heended up going back to the cave to relive his time with her but now at the finale it's back to 2013 and the cave didn't happen til 2018 so in this new timeline does the hike to the cave not happen...
@@s.m.m6710I don't think Zeke will go to the cave now since the past has changed now and Zeke will never be alone like he was before.
Thanks a lot. You saved a lot of time
youre quick with this!! thank you
I wish they could start it back up following where the government is investigating what happened to the 11 missing passengers but it would most likely end up with all passengers being put in mental detention centers all over again. This show was unbelievably excellent. It requires your attention. It truly was all connected.
Hahahaha. Funny….the mystery was atupid
Eagan would surely go on betting sites since he would know who is gonna win the superbowl, the nba, etc with his photographic memory.
very nice recapped..❤ thank you for saving my time😂..
I loved this show from start to finish the way it ended was perfect there was no other way it could of
U mean stupidity
That’s what I’m saying. I loved the show beginning to end
Your video saved me from spending time on watching two more seasons. Thanks
True. There's still a few question marks. But they got a second chance at life and had a happy ending
the pay off was so poor netflix didn't even need to bother buying it, it was still rubbish
Despite the rushed ending, i really enjoyed Manifest.
I love the show, wasn't a huge fan of the ending, but also, Manifest's ending is 1000% the ending The 100 should have had. If they were going to go with the whole divine judgment thing, Manifest did it properly.
This show was wild
Just finished I’m shook and my heart hurts but I’m also so glad
Just completed the 4 seasons today. I was living with all of them. I wish it could have never ended😢.
Wow, that was the best recap ever

This is precise and straight to the point👌good work bruv
@@carelikecrazy lost?
The creator did know how he was going to end it. He planned 6 seasons, but when Netflix only gave him one more season he was forced into a hurry up mode to pull everything together best they could.
I don’t understand why taking a Christian viewpoint is a bad thing?
I don’t go to church or read the bible. Catholic school was a bad experience for me.
However, and I never felt the show was too preachy or pushy. They just took mythology, combined it with a very secular approach to bible studies, and that was it.
It was the preachy person who didn’t make it.
I love channels like this because I can avoid time wasted watching trash. Thank you
That show wandered around quite a bit
The show started off with a strong premise then just went on a wild goose chase with meaningless plot points and dead ends. Wouldve been a good limited series because they should’ve gotten to the point a lot more quickly. I skipped to the last episode of the last season and was still confused
This show should be all about how the world would Handel this humans.
The mystery should never be the main center
You skipped to the last episode and yet somehow you're surprised that you were confused?
People complain about the christianity parts, but personally as someone whose always been pushed away from christianity, this sh,t was interesting, not imma go join a church intresting but ‘oh hey yall made it worth a watch’ but also not worth binging ya know? Like it would really have been a favourite back during the height of cable ya know?
Even though you could tell it went for a Christian touch during the seasons - it went full blown in the last episode and it was too much!!
Plus we still don’t know the main question: why did this all happen in the first place?!! LOL
5 years invested in this show and we still don’t know why they went missing for 5 years.
Plus the love triangle between Mic, Jared and Zeke was a waste of time for a storyline. There was only a build up for 4 seasons and then the execution of it was “blaaaahh”.. The break up at the airport was ridiculous! For 4 seasons there was a “will they won’t they” - kind of thing and then it ended with:
-Yeah.. we’re not right for each other..
-Ok! Bye bye!
Off to the next girl right away 😂
I’m ok with the one Mic ended up with but they should have cut off the other guys story way sooner. It wasn’t believable how quickly he accepted it.
Agree with you!
Its a simple but powerful message that says, "love what you have"
Each character in the show went through the lessons of loss
And those that returned were able to accept the loss and move forward only to realize they didn't lose anything and appreciate it all thus more than ever before.
(Calling timeline where they got visions of the Earth 1 Timeline)
Earth 3 (Alternate Timeline) - Where the plane never went missing and things picked up where they left it.
When was earth 1 and 2 destroyed? What actually was the conscience of the divine? Like a limbo?
You saved me hours of binge watching. Thanks man.

@@SuburbzKid it ended better

Some things I still don’t get after finishing the show (or maybe cause the show stretched on too long for me to retain and connect all the bits):
🤨🤔
1. It was a test and it sucked. She was a contrast for Adrian (who gave up his church of crazy), and opp of Cal. She used her powers for evil.
Likely all of it got erased which sucks because I really wanted Drea to have her happy ending

Nah I'm sure the trio drug dealers are still dead, and that Tarik (Grace's brother) lives. Zeke won't go for that hike.
So glad I missed so much of this.

Mines too!
Omg. I’m listening to season 4 now. I’ve never rooted for the end of the world more.
Thank you for recapping this because I wasn't watching it.
So a couple of unanswered questions:
1) what happened to that detention center warden lady? Was hoping she would have burst into flames too 🤭
2) so was captain Dally part of the 11 missing passengers at the end?
I feel bad for the character Jared, they did him wrong... thank you for the full recap, I don't think I'll finish watching the show 😅
She was already questioning whether she wanted to marry Jared before she even got on the plane though
Girl, jared slept with two of mich's best friend. If that isn't red flag enough i can't think of anything else.

Did you finish the movie? Zeke wasn't a stranger for her. They were destined to be together. She guided him to find her in 2018.
@@ns1208 exactly!
Thanks for this summary. Needed the refresher before I start S4.
2:14 ahhh ahh he said it
Thank you for saving so much time❤
Manifest to the 4400 "Hold my beer"
I managed to make it to the end of season 1. No one had a clue what they were doing and it shows. This show had potential, and I think is a great reboot/rehab project.
This show feels like a re-skin of “The 4400”.
This recap didn't do justice to such a marvelous series.... It is kinda scary. I will not be able to recover from how good this was... Cannot be replaced for a long time
💯💯💯
Cope , this show is dog shit (like feces from dogs)
Season 2 episode 13 brought me tears
the way this show went full christian apocalypse with the judgements and plagues is ridiculous. thanks for the recaps. glad I didn't waste time on the final season
You missed out.
Bro trust me watch it, you won’t regret it I promise.
@@lilxxeee9933 damn it now I got fomo 🤣
Yup! You’re lucky you saved yourself from that awful nonsense! I felt the same way! It’s just a Christian propaganda clichè dooms day show. I wish I could go back five years and tell myself how this show would end and never wasted five years!
@@Owlfluence maybe you should be more perceptive of the media you are consuming bc it was building that way for awhile.
This just made me so incredibly happy that I didn't watch past season 1
Same! 😂🤣
U really saved my time now i can leave this show at season 1 only😂😂
Same 😂😂😂
Bro was thinking of watching this show, thanks for saving me all that time
Thanks!
This series went from exciting to meh really quickly 😂😂
A series with a satisfying ending.
‘They discover an active volcano under NYC’ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don’t get anyone who hates the ending. I mean this is not a “just a dream” kind of story? Instead, this is a journey filled with love, hatred, sadness, forgiveness, despair and hope and this “just a dream” ending is exactly what the characters earned from going through this journey. Thanks manifest ; it’s been a good 5 years with you 828ers❤
I agree. The characters been through so much they deserved a 2nd chance.
@@sp4391 I guess that’s a fair point but how else could they close a show like that?
The show was great. Why do we need to understand everything? I turned out at the end that all was connected. Great ending!
Brilliant catch-up. Why is the screen blanked every now and then ?
So glad i watched this instead of waisting all that time on each season
This started as a very very interesting premise and I was so eager to watch the first season.
Then by second season I was not even looking for any further season.
Glad I spent 25 minutes watching this instead of 40 something hours of rigamarole.
