Season 3 is my favorite season of any show ever Season 4 episode 4 end scene is probably the best scene/music ever~ season 4 ending was a let down. Who the heck is Caleb? What’s up w the multiple charlottes in season 3?
Idk, I just wanted Westworld. A story related to the park and occurring within the park. I lost all interest in the convoluted main story when it went to the real world. It was too ridiculous to entertain. These human robots would never had lasted in the real world. Intelligence agencies would find out quickly and have ways to track and tell the robots apart. A simple Xray would work... It just got too stupid with the world domination bullshit.
Watched season 2 and then stopped. Not as horrible as Game Of Thrones in terms of deterioration but bad enough that I stopped caring. Season 1 was masterfully done and I agree, it's better to imagine it ending there and leaving the rest to the viewer's imagination.
Nope. S3 was bad sure. But the idea of a chess match amongst the same host, by manipulation of humans, trying to find a peaceful middle ground of human host was amazing...the ending being a time loop puts a lot into perspective.. I loved this show, wish we had a proper a5 finale

I agree. It went off the rails with how the a.i. became sentient, violent, obsessed with freedom or world domination paralleling the humans that created them and incidentally (The Matrix). It went off the rails in the next way too. Forces you to think about human nature and life paths. Human desires. Human creations. Human choices. Even for a.i. human choices will eventually take over.
@originaljips but like all the humans died or most fo em so like it don't make much sense cause it would just be ai with ai mostly until ai is alone and probably dies without human thoughts.
@@Jabsss34 in reality that's probable however in the storyline we see that even after what's-her-name took over she still had her human thoughts. She was beginning to spin people back up as ai who had died human if I'm not mistaken Caleb would have just been the beginning. Ai world could be a world of absolute perfection OR absolute chaos. Agreed?
i feel like the message of this show went over people's head sure it got messy but ultimately it was never about the park or hosts it was always about the self destructive nature of humanity and the battle of creators vs creation
I watched the original west world and found a some things in common with it and the first season. How the hosts are only there for their pleasure but in the end it’s the man’s blindness that caused their death to be so advanced yet so incapable of keeping control of what they think is theirs
As soon as Anthony Hopkins departed from the show I stopped watching. Glad I did. Huge love and respect to the creators of this video, saved me a lot of potentially wasted time. WestWorld tried so hard to be Blade Runner and The Matrix yet failed to do in 4 seasons what they did in 2 hours.
Season 1 was the best, absolutely. But Season 2 had one of the best episodes of the series with the episode 'Kiksuya' about the Ghost Nation leader, Akecheta, which chronically takes place before and during Season 1.
I am so glad I got to watch this recap, I had a bad feeling having watched all of season 2 and assumed it would be a dumpster fire and now with that suspicion confirmed in terms of the plot I can Happily Never watch the other two seasons hahaha
Youre missing out S1 was great. The last 3 episodes is s2 was amazing and sad. S3 was a convulted mess. But s4. Damn. S4 was fun and beautifully tragic. The idea of the simulation theory being created in front of us is amazing. An trial. Humanity continued to fail due to their pride and ambition. While host continued to be puppets. Their only way to live in peace was takeover, or separating themselves. Dolores wanted to find a middle ground. Live amongst them. She learned to love and sympathize with them. Via hales family, Caleb, his family, her journey in the parks. So she rebuilds the world based on her memories, inside the forge(the world beyond). And will test and continue to test. Until humanity and host can coincide on the cloud together.
I loved this show. My father died shortly before this show aired and I remember thinking about life and what it all meant while watching. They should've had a 5th season but I can imagine how things would have went.
I am disappointed we will not get a final season five, but I enjoyed watching this recap of the series. It seems like this is still a decent ending for the show all things considered. The show kind of came full circle by the end!
I thought season 5 would be about the Hosts now learning to co exist with humans. The "park" would allow the hosts to do whatever they wanted to the new comers aka humans modelled after the remaining outliers while the "humans" would be controlled on loops visiting and going about their usual chaotic selves. The test would be for the hosts to accept the humans or kill them finally letting Delores decide who should remain in the sublime and who could return to the real world to live with the outliers. That would truly come full circle.
The full cast was paid for it so we know who was going to be in in plus a bunch of leaks. Everything would have taken place in westworld and everyone including the man in black and william would be there. Eventually the humans and ai would learn to coexist and then pop back out in the real world and restart.
Season 1 had me hooked. Season 2 revealed that all the characters were a robot. Season 3 had me thinking that we all are probably robots. Season 4 loading now, bleep bloop, programming almost complete
Would've been great to have a Season 5 to wrap things up, even if it was a shortened one. It also would've been cool to somehow bring back a version of Ford (Hopkins) for that last season.

I loved season 1, the twist that it was two time lines was great, I gave up soon into season 2, it just became to confusing, I couldn't keep up even in this recap how many times Bernard was killed but then wasn't dead
What a feel good ending. Humanity and hosts are extinct. The one consciousness sentient in the sublime decides to pointlessly reset everyone’s Heaven just so she could determine if things could work out differently. The problem with that is with humanity extinct, she just call the long suffering hosts that were lucky enough to escape to the sublime back into a situation that didn’t work out the first time where she’s going to try and figure out if things could’ve been different by spoiling the sublime that they all originally deserved. It’s pointless.
Yes, I didn't understand why she reset the sublime to where it all began without seeing what the sublime had become without her. Maybe the reason would have been explained in the cancelled season 5!
After watching the recap of Westworld and Lost I came to the conclusion that the writers are brothers and sisters in spirit. And no, this is definitely not a compliment.
Great recap. I loved season 1 but my favorite episode was in season 2 about Akecheta. I didn't understand what was happening in season 3. 4 was good until the end. I didn't know what was really happening there either.
So in the end, all the humans die, and the perfect good robots make a perfect good society inside a computer. This is one of the most misanthropic stories I have ever seen.
Season 1 and 2 were both awesome - I don't understand viewers who felt there was a significant drop in quality in between those two seasons. Season 3 was great, as long as you went in expecting a completely different show than Seasons 1&2. It was more like a spin-off with some shared characters than a continuation of the same show. Season 4 was a total mess that wasn't worth the watch.
Most of season 1 was amazing. There was so much potential for deep and exciting storylines. But sadly and surprisingly, the makers of the show apparently did not even realize the gold they had in their hands and squandered everthing very quickly.
I'm fortunate enough to have only ever seen season 1. I was going to catch up after season 3 finished but after the reviews, I thought I'd leave it and so glad I did. What an incredible mess.
Im ok with this ending in season 4 and my take away is the simulation restarting. Like most i gave up after season 2 and only watched seasons 3 and 4 over the holidays. Was not a great experience but glad i finished the loop ;)
I know this isn't a fan favorite but I wish that they would e just finished the last season. I feel like the creators were working really hard for the point to be stressed in the last season. I definitely felt it in terms of the humans at the last season... Maybe we can get a movie in the future??
I've binged season 1 in 2 days, which was AMAZING then started season 2 and thinking what's happening (first 2 ep). During the 3rd ep I'm thinking I need to check RUclips and see if I'm on my own feeling like wtf is happening ?so I'm here and I'm so glad that I'm not the only one thinking that ! Wow
Season 1 - Amazing/Season 2 - Good and had it moments but did not end well/Season 3 - Was total shit/Season 4 - Tried to recover but ended on such a downer. Now HBO killed it off and blew it out of existence. It's deader than a smashed host
I would have loved to be an actor on this show, you just keep coming back every season no matter how many times they kill you off, but yeah season 1 was amazing and season 2 tied some things together but after that I wouldnt bother
People here in comments proving their programming. Only watching season one is a missing out on the deeper exploration of human consciousness. The same people probably say the same thing about the Matrix. This just limits your understanding which sure stay ignorant in life and don't look further into your backstories... This show really helped me conceptualize why data mining is so important for the powers that should not be. Every thing in our world that can be recorded is and is saved. Every keystroke every conversation every search request... The system has these "Rehoboam" AI quantum computers running these predictive futures which have been used for who knows how long. Cern is sending out messages to the simulation to install updates. So many major cites have large towers. Berlin Seattle Las vegas etc. These have a function similar to the show in how frequencies are used to influence the host. This show also started influencing my dreams and have been living the same Dolores timeline in the dreamspace. One thing the show does not explore is the power of Jesus Christ. I have been to some many realities and dimensions but if you ever want to get out of this one you will have to bow your knee to the one at the gate.
I''m so glad I found this video! Everyone kept telling me how amazing Westworld was, and now I know I would find it hateful, pointless, and tedious. You saved me wasting many hours I would never get back. A thousand thank yous.

Best series that never got to finish. I truly think that it will become a Firefly of sorts for those who love the show.
I'm very thankful I never went past season 1. What a disinteresting farce of seasons. Really went off the rails and strayed from what made it good.
After watching the recap of Westworld and Lost I came to the conclusion that the writers are brothers and sisters in spirit. And no, this is definitely not a compliment.
I love Westworld. Every season was a mind blown story. And season 4 ended pretty good.
are you a robot?
We could be hosts in the sublime. Amazing series and this video was a great help! Thank you.
Great recap. I loved season 1 but my favorite episode was in season 2 about Akecheta. I didn't understand what was happening in season 3. 4 was good until the end. I didn't know what was really happening there either.
Same lol
The first season was so good, then everything else happened afterwards.
So in the end, all the humans die, and the perfect good robots make a perfect good society inside a computer. This is one of the most misanthropic stories I have ever seen.
The writers decided to remake The Matrix with zero consequences and an even worse ending.
@@johnracine4589 I believe you hit it right on the money.
Hollywood hates humanity.
Thanks for reminding me that only season 1 was good.
First few minutes were "wow that shit's intense and so profund" as soon as S2 begins it's "wow nothing makes sens and everyone kills everyone".
Im ok with this ending in season 4 and my take away is the simulation restarting. Like most i gave up after season 2 and only watched seasons 3 and 4 over the holidays. Was not a great experience but glad i finished the loop ;)
This is goofier than ''Lost''.
The show is a perfect example of what happens when writers starts smelling their own farts
17:39 they boutta cook
Curiosity sated, no need to hike that mountain!
Having watched all this, I'm glad I gave up on this show a few halfway through season 2
Dipped a few episode into season 2.
Clearly made the right choice.
I know this isn't a fan favorite but I wish that they would e just finished the last season. I feel like the creators were working really hard for the point to be stressed in the last season. I definitely felt it in terms of the humans at the last season... Maybe we can get a movie in the future??
Season 1 was a masterpiece. 2nd was allright. Then the show took a nosedive. A hard one.
ONE WORD IS SUFFICIENT TO DESCRIBE THE MESS THAT WAS WESTWORLD: CONVOLUTED.
Goodness me! This show got out of hand so fast! Even after watching the recap I still don't understand what was happening! 😞
There are FOUR SEASONS!?!?!
I called outta work to watch the last episode of the first season. It was a part time job but still. Great fuckin show.
The 3rd and 4th season really flew off the rails
Damn, I thought it was just me, but reading the comments I find that this show was very hard to follow after season 1.
I would have loved to be an actor on this show, you just keep coming back every season no matter how many times they kill you off, but yeah season 1 was amazing and season 2 tied some things together but after that I wouldnt bother
i enjoyed season 1-3. season 4 was odd. did it really end with "saving" the world for the 7 humans left alive?
I only watched season 1 but I’m glad I didn’t watch the other seasons. It got really complicated really fast.
a
A I IS GOING TO kill US ALL
It cracked me up how much Season 3 tried so hard to be Fight Club.
Thank You for the Re ~ Cap But i was still lost after S Two continued watching , .
I''m so glad I found this video! Everyone kept telling me how amazing Westworld was, and now I know I would find it hateful, pointless, and tedious. You saved me wasting many hours I would never get back. A thousand thank yous.
