    Okay dude I thought you were going to actually show how to fix it so please don't talk so much next time and just say hey my car wouldn't start these are the things that it's doing and it was the starter go get the starter fixed that would have saved me three minutes of my life

  • @alainadickinson727
    @alainadickinson727 5 лет назад +22

    I had this problem. I figured out that it was the shifter not engaging into Park fully so when you go to start it, the P should light up blue that it is in park. If it doesn’t, nudge your gear shift slightly until it lights up blue and it will start. May not be the same issue, but this has fixed it for me every time it happens.

    This could have been a thirty-second video.
    Here goes... Just like you, I had no idea why my car wouldn't start. I even looked online and just like you people watching this video, I really got no clear help in finding out what to do. So, I called a tow and the repair shop said it was the starter. Fixed! 😉

    Stay away from aftermarket or remanufactured starters and alternators. Many don't work right out of the box. They aren't worth shit. Spend the money and go OEM even if it means you have to wait a few days for the part.

      Definitely should make sure your battery terminals are clean and tight just to rule that out. There's a high percentage of no start issues just caused by that.

      It definitely fix my problem. When I took it to the car shop. They told me I had absolutely no oil in my car and we all know you need oil for your car to run properly. Sometimes it won't even turn on (💡). So I'm thinking that could be one of the problems. If not "the" problem.

    Same problem tonight. Unsure of what it could be. 1. Starts immediately with a jump. 2. Charging system tested good 3. Battery tested good. If it starts with a jump, shouldn't that rule out the starter?

      You prob have a weak altenator.

    • @massivewoofers247
      @massivewoofers247 5 лет назад

      Wrong!! The starter solenoid could be week and the extra amperage from the other car is making it engage!

    • @massivewoofers247

      You can use a screwdriver and touch the small wire connection one of the big post on the side of the starter.. but never touch the two big one together it will spark very bad

    Starter 1 click no start hmmm, also another issue can be the alternator being bad for a no start issue. This was the biggest wasted time video to explain his so called fix.
    Test battery
    Check starter, remove and test
    Final item for issue
    Failed Alternator or wiring connection.
    These 3 items can all cause a 1 click no start.
    Replaced a battery and starter on a customers car
    Battery dead Replaced New
    Starter dead Replaced New
    Still no start
    Alternator dead Replaced New
    Car started.
    A simple thought for it being only a starter is not always the case but is the first place to look other than the battery.
