Thanks for the video.Further to what happens in Canada, the vast majority of tires here are recycled with only a very few going to landfills in more remote areas. The $5 fee, plus government grants, are used to fund the recycling. This also applies to commercial and mining tires but the initial fees are much higher. This all stems from the '80s after several tire fires like the one at Haggersville which burned for 17 days causing significant environmental damage.
I’ve been looking for a good tire for a while now and I use my rhino utv and Zforce 950 HO EX sxs for search and rescue and trail riding. Rhino is primarily around farm and house, but this gives me a great reference because you guys hit roads and everything else too. Thank you for this video !!!
@ I am looking for good adjustable 2 ball mount for 2-1/2 inch shank hitch. I’m leaning towards the B&W tow and stow with 2” and 2-5/16th, I rarely pull more than 10-12k pounds. What have you found that works well ?
I ran Bighorn 2.0 tires one rid and the lugs ripped out. I went with a original Bighorn and the 26x9x14 and 26x 11x14 yeah I couldnt rotate but they lasted for 10,376 and still had 1/4 tread went I traded it in. The 2024 Sportsman I bought last March I went with the same tire. As far as SXS I run a Sedona Rip Saw and have for years. The are heavy but they clean out very well. Had them for 5600 miles.
Where I live they take up to a certain number of tires per day for free. They do this to eliminate just what you were talking about, to keep them out of the environment.
I have Tusk Terrabites on my pioneer 1000-5. I run a lot on curvy pavement back roads getting to the trails. It's not a square set-up so I can't rotate them. It has almost 6k miles on it. I installed the front tires at 150 miles and the rears at 750 miles. The front tires need replaced after over 5,500 miles but the rears are probably 50-75% remaining after about 5,000 miles. I run 20 psi on road and 10 psi in the rough stuff. If they were square and the wheels weren't a different offset front to rear I'm confident I could get 9-10k miles out of a fresh set with regular rotations.
I’ve always found bighorns like a lot of stock tires, they get it home. Then it’s time to change. With the exception of the carnivores and the liberties. Those are my two favorite tires. We can throw one tire outside the road per week for free. Up to a 35 inch tire.
I would love for you to do a complete breakdown of the Sedona tires. I've been looking at the Rock a Billy but now you have me rethinking it. Do the Ridgesaws do better in the mud than than Rock a Billy? And I really don't see much difference between the Trailsaw and the Rock a Billy so what's the difference? Thanks for your input!!
Where I'm st in Canada, you pay an "enviro-fee" on things like newly purchased tires or electronics. Yes, its an extra cost up front, but at the end of the tire's life, you just take it to a garage or enviro depot and walk-away and not pay any fees. Either way your paying for it.... but you don't even think if it.
I wish it was like that here in the states, that way people would get rid of their stuff responsibly without taking it out and throwing it in the woods
Can I ask you a question about the X2 1000. I have one. I love it. Do you get chattering noise coming from the suspension? I'm thinking it's the shocks but not positive. I don't know anyone else with one so it's hard to get comparable info. Thanks. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the vlogs. Will it be on this channel or are you starting another?
I don’t get any suspension chatter out of the X2 1000. And the blogs will be on this channel so you will be able to catch them daily. Thank you for watching my friend.
Hi Brain, What do you think of the Tusk Terrabite ? I see allot of people using them for mostly pavement. And what tire pressure should I run in my ATV and my UTV ?
I’ve never used the Tusk Terrabite, I’ve heard good things though. Start with the psi on the sidewall or in your owners manual and add or decrease according to your load and terrain.
I have ripped the lugs out of my big horn tires also but my tires are not the 2.0. I got them as new take offs last year and one year in I don't like them.
@mildtowildrc7343 the 2.0 are what's on my children's kawasaki. I bought them a new kawasaki a few years ago it's got around 2000 miles on it now and they are worn out bad. My general has the takeoff tires I bought a year ago on it they're the bighorn and have around a thousand miles on them now. They are probably halfway gone and have lugs ripped off the rear tires
I had the old big horns on the yxz and they were awesome up there in wv. They also lasted 2500 miles. Only reason I took them off is to get a bigger tire.
Wild how opinions differ, I hated them on my yxz, they had a tendency to push the front end with me.changed to kuhmo mud terrain truck tires and it handles like a rally car now. Gave my big horns away.
Great video as always 👍. I don't know if this will help you or not but up here in Canada there are a few companies that will take your old tires for free and like you said they grind them up and use them for outside playground "flooring ". Might be worthwhile to look into down in your area. And there's a fairly new company up here in Canada that's out of Quebec called Fabfpf and they apparently make unbelievable windshields. I know 3 or 4 guys here in Southern Ontario Canada that have them and love them. I believe the person to talk to their is Pascal. 👍
I kinda like the big horn 2.0’s on my defender they have about 4000 miles on them and are showing the miles. I was considering 3.0’s for the next set but have seen next to nothing as far as reviews.. good, bad or otherwise, have you any info on them?
Something like the Sedona Ridge saw or trail saw, or something similar to that pattern. You would want an all-terrain style pattern that’s easy on the turf, definitely not a mud lug tire.
I put 30 inch Sedona Ridge saws on my X2 1000 when I took it to Hatfield McCoy last year and it did rub a little bit in the front when I was turned hard all the way left and right. I did not adjust the springs so that may be enough to get it clearance.
I put 30x10x14 Tusk Megabites all around on my 2024 Wolverine X2 1000 TRX and they work great. No lift and there's no rubbing and good ground clearance I've had other tires over the years and these for the price are the best I've had, I highly recommend them.
@daryelthomas9414 here’s one we did last year, not a ton of ride shots but it’s probably more than what you’ve seen out there. I also have a review on the X2 if you want to see that. Hatfield~McCoy Braveheart Trail Review & What to Expect ruclips.net/video/c5rLc_-0ckU/видео.html
Tire Jesus? Now I know why my father looked at me, shook his head and said Jesus Ch****. Lol. Steelman has been around since the mid 80’s. They are based in Vegas. They are a manufacturing company, I don’t know if all products are made in America. Things to think about, do not light the tire patch cement on fire. The “newer” chemicals brake down under those conditions. I know I always did that, many of my customers still do. Just telling ya what they said at the Manufacture. I’ve always been a Fisher fan and friend, I help anyway I can. Thanks Brian and Melissa.

Yes, sir, I told you I was gonna get a video up for you.👍🏼
Great video,I’m looking for some new tires I’ll check those ridge saws out
Ive never seen Bighorns that didnt have a half dozen plugs in them. A lot of people I know really like the Sedona Rock-a-billy.

I think I will try a set, like you I have got good service out of the bighorn. Put about 6000 miles per year on my work Ranger
I have the Maxxis Carnivore tires and love them. Great video, looks like you lost some weight.
Yes sir, got tired of being short and fat! 😆 Been working out for almost a year now. 💪🏼
@
That’s where I’m at now fat and short 😂. I’m hoping to loose 45 pounds by June-July.
How many miles have you seen on the trail saws. Currently on our first set and really liking them.
We’re getting 8K - 9K out of ours.

I got a set of coyotes for my rhino and I think they are doing great! Liking the Sedona brand for my way of driving
Bighorn's on my X2 1K wolverine they are great so far, but they are pricey to replace.
Tusk Terribites look awesome
I have heard of several people running the Tusk terabites, I have never run them myself, so I don’t know how they will do in the long run.
