Crazy or Not, Tom Cruise is one of the greatest actors in this generation.
He is the Greatest movie star since Clark Gable
@R A R he is. its got nothing to do with him as a person.
He's not a great actor, he can just play the typical Allstar hotdog type roles convincingly
If he is crazy,I want that kind of crazy!
No question.
he should have won the oscar, that was the best performance of his career.
cough cough...jerry Maguire,interview with the Vampire, M.I
+Itai Kahari cough cough...cough cough...cough cough...
Born on the Fourth of July , eyes wide shut ....
All of his performances are brilliant. It's all subjective, but "The Firm" was my favorite performance of his.
Danilo Bastos Vanilla Sky, Eyes Shut, & Born on the 4th of July.
He was fantastic in magnolia
Being honest, he's one of the best actors of his generation and, for sure, one of the greatest movie stars of al time
LMAO
@@toothumbs what is funny?
@@DK_75 cos hes a mediocre actor at best
@@toothumbs A mediocre actor would not be able to lead movies from Martin Scorsese, Speilberg, Francis Ford Copolla, Stanley Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson, Ridley Scott, Michael Mann, Robert Redford, and Edward Zchwick. Am I supposed to believe a random person on youtube knows more about acting than some of the greatest directors of all time?
@DK I agree 👍
Stunningly good-looking and an outstanding acting talent over many decades
The man is a icon and greatest movie star of the last 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, he is mostly known for Rock of Ages
ah, got the joke :)
Cruise, Dicaprio, and Depp are the triumvirate of modern movie industry.
hey u forgot brad pitt
Yeah I’d actually say Cruise, DiCaprio and Pitt, instead of Depp.
And I would put in will Smith
Tom Cruise is a movie star, in every sense of, that, phrase.
You damn right he is!
his smile alone works for me
Magnolia, Collateral, and Born on the Fourth of July are his best
Fuckin Interview With the Vampire! (Lestat)
ok fuck it tom cruise is AWESOME
M.I franchise
Moviemaster21 And Vanilla Sky.
Tom cruise as vincent ws awesome....stone cold n cynical character....Loved the movie Collateral
Tom Cruise has got to be the biggest alpha male there is. The way he handled this situation is amazing.
Dude, 5 years later and I must say....WELL SAID! SO spot-on! Tom just oozes all that confidence and radiance, man...I just don't get where he gets it all from. There is no equal to the charisma this man possesses. Favourite actor, hands down!
Yes totally
There was a situation? What did I miss?
Geee I even forgot how gorgeous he was when he was younger , one of the greatest actors ever ... the man can act , can drive a car like a formula 1 driver , ride a bike like a moto GP and he can do the craziest stunts , and he is also a great martial artist ... Tom Cruise is one of the greatest actors ever ! I am a huge fan since his first movie ever !
Hands down to him , him doing Stacee Jaxx on Rock of Ages was stunning indeed
He is amazing in Jerry Maguire, Collateral, and of course EWS but in Magnolia, that is one of the greatest most vulnerable performances by any actor.
Vanilla sky
I was lucky enough to meet Tom at the Mission Impossible Premiere in London and he is the nicest guy you would ever meet. Very few people yet alone celebrities are nice as he is. Love you Tom!
Tom is amazing, I don't care what people say about him. He is so determined and loves what he does. He's devoted to his family and wife, (I know this was when he was married to Nicole Kidman, loved his shout out to her.) But he's done pretty good for being married, instead of divorcing at the first sign of trouble like most celebrities do. My respects to you, Tom. You are truly one of my favorites.
0:57 lol the TV crew accidentally played the "applause" track, hence Tom's laugh. 🤣
is it real? I just noticed that😭
Mr. Cruise so deserved this. By far the best work he's done in a stellar career.
everyones always like Leo deserves an OSCAR [which he deservedly won this past yr], but what about Cruise and Depp for Christ's sake?
And Brad Pitt
Cruise deserved oscar more than Leo.
There are so many remarkable actors who have never won an Oscar, in addition to Cruise and Depp (and I agree with both of those). For me, those that come to mind are: Glenn Close (how has she never won?), Amy Adams (the fact that she has never won and Jennifer Lawrence has is a joke), Samuel L. Jackson (should have won for Pulp Fiction), Peter O'Toole (only won an Honorary Oscar), Annette Bening (could have legitimately won for all 4 of her nominations, and losing twice in years when Hilary Swank went 2 for 2 has to sting), John Malkovich, Alan Rickman, Edward Norton, Ed Harris, Michelle Williams, and Cary Grant.
Depp? For what?
Natasza Suarez yeah
TC's performance as Frank in Magnolia is astounding. His emotional range is intense, raw, and immensely beautiful all at the same time. IMHO he should have won the Oscar as well !
magnolia was incredible shoutout to Phillip Seymour Hoffman you are remembered
I love Tom, He deserves
MAGNOLIA was probably Tom Cruise's most intense performance and I still think
he would have won the Academy Award for it as well were it not for the controversy
regarding the character being a blatant misogynist.
Yeah but when he's confronted about his Mom and when he's crying while his Dad died it showed the sleazy MGTOW spokesman was partly just an act too.
The film holds up better than most of the films under consideration that year. If the list for Best Pictures that year was created today, I'm quite certain Magnolia would have displaced one of the others that year and Tom Cruise would have won.
What controversy?
Tom looks incredibly handsome here.
You know what, let me tell you all something, question his religious beliefs all you want to, I STILL appreciate this man as an actor. Did others mock his sanity 11 years ago around this time, NO! Get off the guy's back. We all don;t know him personally, so who are we to judge? Tom inspires me to achieve the formula he has grasped in his professional line of work to further myself if I am fortunate enough to get in show-biz'. Still doin' his thang, Go Tom go!
And now this comment is almost 11 years ago... Hope you're doing well man.
You are very right sir. If Scientology helps him be so productive and dedicated that means Scientology is not for everybody. Because people who criticize success usually are part of that group that don't do they only criticize the ones that do.
Plus the ones that hate and criticize don't want to be so productive and dedicated like the ones who achieve a life of successes!!
Absolutely brilliant performance and much better than other nominees.
So damn handsome.
He deserved it, his performance was thrilling
Tom Cruise is a "real" hero/action star who can also act amazing. Now that's rare.
To quote Robin Williams after he shook Tom Cruise's hand at the People's Choice Awards: "Damn, the boy's pretty!"
I'm a fan of Michael Caine, but to this day I am still amazed of how Tom Cruise didn't win the Academy Award.
He was robbed
100%
The academy love shit American accents

He is so beautiful ,his smile awwww😘😘😘
that award was soooo well deserved he fucken KILLED IT in magnolia like holy fuck its probably one of the greatest Tom cruise performances ever
He should've won the Oscar for Magnolia.
What a personality so charming so graceful no doubt he is handsome person of all time seen in Hollywood.
He Nailed this Part!!
he should've 5 more noms by now Vanilla sky, Last samuri, Collateral, Tropic Thunder, Roxk of ages.
Let the truth be spoken. He deserves one oscar for his acting, one for his gorgeous smile, one for his good looks and one for just blessing the world with his existence.
I couldn't say it any better! 🍻
tom cruise is fucking awesome, he is definitely not one of your average pretty boy hollywood actors like ben affleck, tom can really act and i watched magnolia again last night and tom did a perfect job, the role was absolutely perfect for him, even in his blockbuster action movies he really shows his talent and on top of that he does his own stunts, say what you want about the Scientology stuff ( i actually love that he's crazy abt it) but there's no question that the guy is a great actor
I don't understand why so many dislike Tom Cruise. Having seen and admired such films as Interview with the Vampire, Eyes Wide Shut, Magnolia and Vanilla Sky to name a few I believe he is one fine actor. Maybe they're just jealous. Jealous of his fame, his money or the attention he gets. I really don't understand why people don't give him enough credit. Maybe it's the Scientology backstory. i don't think that should be any of our business though. It's his life
He have done alot of good movies And I think he can't forget Nicole she was his biggest love And she took the best years with him looking good
Exactly what I wanted to say! I have seriously loved everything that I have seen him in. He's a great actor no matter what he plays and really puts in a lot of hard work and does so many dangerous stunts that other's wouldn't even attempt. I hate when I see people hate on him so much, not sure what their issue is at all....I know a lot of people automatically stopped liking him when they found out he was a Scientologist but like you said what does it matter what he does in his life!
Maybe you should look into this Scientology stuff. They believe in aliens and people turning into lizards. So yeah, that's that.
awwwwwww 'I love you sweetheart'. He's so lovely
Because he's Tom Cruise. Everything about him is perfect.
Tom Cruise the BEST actor ever
+Magda Laskowska Nope ... This 3 are the best actors ever to step on earth : Daniel Day Lewis , Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro .
Lawrence Olivier is
chaplin...brando...pacino...nicholson were tennis players?!
Pitt and Depp?
@@Feoktistovs Dicaprio sucks ass. Cruise is better than him.
He’s all class
magnolia an amazing performance
TOM CRUISE IS A SUPER MAN ACTOR
CONGRATULATIONS MR CRUISE. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY X
Tom is a fantastic actor - I think it is sad that the entire world seems to be picking on him just now
The most handsome man ever born on this planet,,,,,,,,
👌👍
He was my first celebrity crush ... i love him😘😍❤️
Tom Cruise is still hot as hell
This here, was Tom in his early 30's - his pinnacle, PRIME look. This right here, is THE Tom Cruise look. His best look ever.
@@CJTranceAddiction Early 30's? Cruise is 37 here.
He's so intense.
30-40 is tom prime look
Tom Cruise is a legend
This is also the year Cruise discovered the elixir of life. He clearly hasn't aged since!
As of 2022, TC has aged. Just look at the previews for 2023 Mission Impossible. At 60 and looking great but does not look aged 35 anymore.
0:38 that deadly smile
Tom Cruise ❤💜💛💚💙😍😍😍😘😘😘
His smile 0:39 ohh Gosh........
I love u
tom cruise is such an amazing actor!
Cruise is a legend, Biggest movie star of his generation
all that love in his speech for his wife and a year later he was like, sorry not really..
0:58 I just got it! He laughs bc those applauses were library audio fx!! And the sound guy messed up!! 🤣🤣🤣
He really loved Nicole.
Cruise and Magnolia were both sensational. How he and Aimee Mann and PTA missed out on Oscars is utterly beyond me!
What's even more unfair, several years down the line the Academy gave the best movie award to Crash - a movie that took most of it's ideas from Magnolia, but was much less brilliant and creative, more simplistic and with worse directing and worse performances. I remember, I was actually a bit infuriated when I was watching it. lol It's not like it was a bad movie, per se, it was mostly ok, but come on, Magnolia did it first and did it much better and was completely robbed of all the awards and then that copycat of a film receives all the glory under the sun. Where is justice?
I can't believe he's not a nice man. He just follows his own path and belief, why attack him?
Tom was great in Magnolia, but there is no way he could have given as good of a speech as Michael Caine did at the Oscars. One of the great Oscar moments of all time.
Still can't get over him not winning the Oscar for Magnolia... To me, it's his best work EVER on film. The best. The work of a true acting professional, and one that has moved me like few others have - much like the movie itself.
Tom Cruise is a great actor. Period.
You should win the oscar 😭😭😭😭🔥🔥🔥
It was awesome seeing the clip of Rob Lowe chuckling. Especially after what he wrote about him in his book.
what
Tom cruise really should win more Oscar’s. He’s a excellent actor.
0:19s RIP Michael Clarke Duncan :'( What an Amazing Actor , He will be Missed !
You deserve it babe. You worked hard and your very passionate and talented. That is so sweet that you thanked your wife. You inspire me to want to be a better woman to you. My heart goes out to you. You deserve to be treated more fairly. I would never take your love for granted like Katie did or leave you.
You don't actually believe Katie Holmes ever loved him,do you?
can't believe he had an award for Magnolia (not saying he's not worthy) and he had any recognition for The Last Samurai (in my opinion one of his best roles)
Who's here after he sent all of his Golden Globes awards back to the HFPA?
That's how real movie stars makes award shows worthwhile
Hands down Mission Impossible, Rogue Nation!
That giggle❤😍🥰🤩🤗😁
How on earth did he not win that Oscar is beyond belief
I think the Academy has an unwritten rule that TC can't win an Oscar. (Just like a sci fi pic can't win Best Picture)
Shape of water has won
The AMPAS should give Tom Cruise an Honorary Oscar just to get it over with if he is still desperate for that elusive Academy Award.
Batman just gave Tom Cruise an Golden Globe! ;-)
Groundhog Day 1993 is AWESOME! Golden Globe. Not an Oscar.
@@Jared_Wignall even your wrong use of article suggests that he should have win the Oscar.
Dude, this was from the early 2000s.
Tom Cruise wanted to be Iron Man, but let's all be glad that thankfully Robert Downey Jr got the part.
Just look at him face of a leader
I hate all those arrogant pricks who judge Tom Cruise's acting ability by his religious beliefs rather than by his performances. People can have such annoying tunnel-vision... The fact that all they can make fun of is his religion speaks to no end of their own insecurities. This guy's a talented and passionate actor. You don't see that too often in Hollywood these days.
fucke me - cant believe how young Affleck and Theron looked.....
Should have won the Oscar.
This film was among his best work, I'm really happy he got this. You rock, Mr.Cruise.
(looks at title of video)...that was unintentional. :P
This was Tom Cruise at his peak sexiness. He got rid of the 80s baby cheeks and got the smashing hair lol.
You should win the oscar 😭😭😭😭🔥🔥🔥
God 💓😇🙏Bless Tom Cruise 💓👍
For he is A Great Guy .💓👍
Why does it seem as though people are defending him? I didn't think anyone would have a bad word to say about Cruise anyway, he is a phenomenal actor. I didn't think anyone could say anything bad about him.
Tom cruise deserved an oscar
he is such a cute person his Smile voice everything 😘
He's such a good actor I'm never really sure if he is acting or not. He's so in control when he acts "crazy" I can't tell if it's just an act or not.
I think he should have won the oscar to accompany his globe.
He should have won the oscar back in 1994 for his role as Lestat. He owned it - the dude was not even Tom Cruise at that point. He was absolutely phenomenal!
ooh yeah ,, i loved him so much he was such
a sweetheart and incredible actor.,,,what a sad loss
I don't give a fuck what he believes in. This man is a fucking brilliant actor.
T-Cruise is looking great
He is just awesome 😎 so handsome 😍
Cruise was straight up snubbed at the Oscars. From '96 to 2002, he did Jerry Maguire, Eyes Wide Shut, Magnolia, Vanilla Sky and Minority Report and they're almost all his best dramatic performances...(Rain Man, Born On The 4th of July and A Few Good Men being the other exceptions)
my god!! soooo handsome!!
Whoever did his jawline did a great job
What does it matter what he does in his life...oh, just EVERYTHING
Actually, Tom was considered the front-runner for the Oscar that year. Daniel winning that award was considered an upset at the time.
This win was for Magnolia and the winner of Oscar that year was Michael Caine whose win was and still is considered undeserved. Probably won because of connection to Harvey Weinstein.
@67maverick There's so many valid reasons to like him as an actor...for me he is one of the last actors who has genuine charisma, unlike the poor chaps why try to force it (jake gyllenhaal comes to mind)
Fuckyouman eh
