      I would recommend this acne guide *AcneCureOnline. Com* to anyone who is suffering from discovering the right acne remedies on their own. Our family is suffering from acne since then and I have tried different acne treatments. Luckily, with the help of this impressive guide, acne was cured and development was halted. .

    im so excited for everyone who is about to start roaccutane! my life is shitty but this was the best decision of my life. its been over a year since i came off it and every day i can't believe how good my skin looks. acne really was the bane of my existence. the months i was on roaccutane were very hard, but i advise anyone to just hang there and pay attention to your mental health. good luck everyone 💛

    Not everyone gets an initial breakout! My skin stayed the same for the first month, then just steadily got better from there. It was pretty much perfect by the time I was finished my course after 6 months. Now a year and a half later I do get some spots here and there, but it's nothing compared to how it was before.

    I’m 14 days away from finishing my course. It’s been a rough time, but my skin looks so much better. It’s a commitment and requires lots of appointments. This has felt like the longest six months of my life. The fatigue and sleeping all the time, inability to go out and enjoy the sun (I live in Miami), th dehydration, the crazy side affects I experienced, and having to stop exercising due to the joint and body soreness really made me feel down. If you’re on accutane, just remember if you feel depressed and down that it will all be over in 6 months and it’s worth it. Be honest with those close to you about how you feel and make sure to hydrate and take care of yourself. I wish you luck if you begin this journey.

      Michelle Yepes I’m suppose to start accutane next month.
      I also live in Florida. It’s going to suck trying to avoid the sun as much as possible. I already experience joint pain from working out. One of my biggest fears is developing worst joint pain and not being able to work out. Some days i’m all for it and other days I’m hesitant about getting on accurate. I’m so sick of battling acne for 13 years.

      Ellen Causey hey I just started 2 days ago! How is it for you?

    • @TotalRejectEllen
      @TotalRejectEllen 5 лет назад

      Ciara Hamilton so far mine is honestly fine. I’ve got slightly dry skin (I moisturise twice a day so it’s not too bad) and super dry lips (no amount of moisturising lip balm can stop it!) but other than that not much has happened for me. I’m at the point where Katie started to break out but my skin has cleared up slightly. I’m not getting excited though because it could just happen late for me.
      How’s yours?

    • @ciarahamilton4543
      @ciarahamilton4543 5 лет назад

      Ellen Causey I’m on day 8 now- nobody warned me about the dry itchy scalp! Facial skin is pretty dry and sometimes itchy- I find that applying the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream about 3 times a day to really help with the itchy/dryness. As for my lips, dry but not as bad as I was expecting. It’s early days though, maybe they’ll get worse? That’s pretty much all of the side effects I’ve noticed, skin hasn’t really changed that much, I’ve got more spots but i don’t think it’s the breakout stage just yet (hopefully I skip it altogether but preparing for it anyway!) wish u the best with ur journey, keep up with the updates! :)

    • @TotalRejectEllen
      @TotalRejectEllen 5 лет назад +1

      Ciara Hamilton oh my gosh the dry itchy scalp is the worst bit! I’ve got a good moisturiser and good lip balms but I haven’t found a good shampoo to combat it yet. Fingers crossed we both skip the breakout stage.
      Good luck! ❤️

  • @KristinJ09
    @KristinJ09 6 лет назад +11

    My experience is that if you already react well to other tablets and medicine like antibiotics, painkillers, anesthetic and narcosis, you won’t have the worse of the side effects with roaccutane.
    I have never had any issues with the medicine mentioned above, and my side effects with roaccutane (I was on roaccutane for 7 months) was dry lips and dry eyes. The dryness of my body was fine. Had some body aches for about a month, but only in the morning. Another tip is to take two or one tablet a day. It will take much longer to finish, obviously, but I experienced that taking 3 tablets a day increased the side effects.
    Your dermatologist will find out the full dosage you need, but you can find out for your self how many tablets a day you want to take. I started of taking just one every other day, and than upped it (talk with your dermatologist while changing the amount per day).
    Also, my skin only got better. I did not experience it getting worse :) after two months I was spot-free.

    I’ve been on Roaccutane twice. Each time for a whole year. Each time I got perfect results, and each time my acne also came back about a year after I finished using it... Last time I was on it, was in 2017 and I had a really though time. Physically but also mentally. I would still reccommend this medicine, but as Katie mentions in her video, be prepared! Katie, I applaud you for doing this video. I wish I saw your video before I started my cure. These tips can be really helpfull!

    Love this video! I followed your story whilst taking roaccutane for 12 months you’re seriously an inspiration and I always found your videos about this topic so helpful!
    My tip to anyone starting would be to look at your diet. If your body is already struggling like mine was from the harsh side effects of the medicine then I suggest changing your diet if it’s not already healthy, to a low sugar diet. I cut all the crap. Chocolate, chips, Biscuts. It made a massive difference on not only my mental health but my physical. On roaccutane some days I could hardly walk as my back and joints were so sore. Changing my diet seriously improved this. Would also suggest to any contact lens wearers stock up on hydration eye drops and give your eyes a rest. when you come home take them out and switch to glasses for the evening!
    Good luck to anyone starting!

    I had to encourage my daughter during her course of treatment. Being a person whose best feature was perfect skin I felt terrible for her as she developed acne at age 9. I was tremendously helped by watching your videos and was able then to support her more through a journey I wouldn’t otherwise have personally understood. She completed her course of treatment about 18months ago and it has been life changing. Her skin is perfect now.
    Interestingly, her initial acne was small yellow pimples all over her forehead. Her first dermatologist said Roaccutane wouldn’t clear these so she decided not to go on it. Thus, 6 full months was wasted. A huge breakout on her cheeks drove us back to the clinic. Once she started, the first thing to go was the yellow pimples! Why had that consultant declared that so definitely?!

    I started my course on December 1st of 2017 and ended it on June 30th 2018. I had mild acne but only saw the effects after 4 months and had to keep upping my dose (to 40mg). My lips weren't that chapped at all! I used Eucerin Aquaphor and it made my life so much easier during the course. My skin was a bit more sensitive than normal but with a moisturizer without perfume it was easily fixed.
    Oh, and it did get rid of ALL of my psoriasis, which is kind of a miracle!

    You gave me the courage to try roaccutane and I'm on month 5 now.I suffered cystic acne from age 9 to 36 and it spread down my neck at age 36 it reached its worst.I could not get it on the nhs so I had to go privately but it's definitely worth every penny. Total cost £680 for 6 months but I'll probably have it for longer than 6 months as I cannot handle the 60mg dosage which means I'll have to take it for longer

    I 100% agree with your tips, definitely wish I’d known these before taking roaccutane. I took my last 3 pills last Monday and I’m so glad it’s over now! The worst part bar the dry lips was painful joints for me. I still feel like an old woman every time I get up after sitting down for a while but I know it will get better. I’d recommend hand moisturiser too because with the work I do, I have to use some harsh chemicals and it made my hands so sensitive and dry. It has changed my life and I can’t believe I’ve got clear skin now, it’s amazing! I watched your videos recently and they were so helpful. 😊

      Scott Mc hugh yes, thank you for asking! They’re much better than they were, still feel a few more aches and pains to what I used to but nothing like before. I don’t have a painful back or ribs anymore and can now sleep on my stomach and side properly again. I didn’t realise how much it had affected me until the side effects started to ease up. My feet would be in agony after a 9 hour shift and I’d really struggle working a few days in a row as my job is in retail. But now I can go through a shift without them aching at all and it’s made such a difference!

    I’ve been in it twice 😅 thankfully I didn’t have any really bad side effects apart from split lips which were pretty painful. The man think my dermatologist told me was DO NOT 1 - exfoliate the skin, 2 - go out in the sun and 3 - use products for acne as they will dry the skin out more. I used spf 50 everyday and very gentle products and my skin is brilliant now 😍 the drug is harsh but the results are so worth it x

    You look amazing and your journey gives me some hope. I am on my second month and I am dying... Septic acne, headaches and sensitive skin.... I just wanna give up but after seeing your journey..... Hmmmmm..... I press my acne everyday and cry... My face hurts and I am very irritable and emotional as I do not see the possibility of a miracle.

    Hey Katie,
    I’m Lotte from the Netherlands and in a few days I have a doctors appointment. I also struggle with acne for a really really long time now, I’ve tried everything but nothing seems to work. So I hope my doctor will put me on Roaccutane. I watched all your videos about Roaccutane and it was really helpful! I’m a bit nervous about the side-effects, but I now know that it will be worth it eventually 😄
    I still have a few questions about Roaccutane:
    - What is the best way to cover your acne the first few months? Because the skin will be very dry and it will probably look flaky.
    - Is it risky to drink alcohol? Did you drink alcohol? I read on the internet that you’re only allowed to drink 1 glass a day but what are your experiences?
    - Did you use eye drops for when your eyes were really dry and sore? And if so, did that help?
    Btw, I have a tip for you as well! I also have a lot of scars from my acne and a few months ago I started with the Dermapen. Don’t now if you’ve ever heard of it but can really help your scars to go away!

    I'm suffering from acne since i was tennager, thought that it's only juvenile acne, i just using OCT cosmetics for acne but it didn't works, until in my college days i went to skin care, they gave me tons jar of steroid combination with antibiotics, months appointment for IPL,acne peeling and bio light therapy but it makes my skin thinner, and started to shows up some telengeactacia in my face, now it's already 10 years of my acne journey and i've never have a single compliments about being beautiful without make up, now accutane is my last hope, i started to used it for my 12 days and i use lower dose on 0.5mg/kgBB before i increase it become 1mg/kgbb in next month, please wish me luck to fight my acne 🙏

    Thank you for sharing your story and advice! I’ve been prescribed antibiotics for my acne which hasn’t really helped that much. I’m unsure whether or not to go onto roccutane because my acne isn’t really awful but I have had it for a long time. I’m mainly worried about the links to depression, so it’s something I’ll have to think about

    Hi Katie! I want to thank you for uploading this video. I'm about to start my Accutane journey and I am very nervous and had some questions I want to ask. To start off I should say that we do not have the same skin tone and I'm not sure if it will make any difference. But what I want to know is, should you wear makeup during the process? If you so, is there a specific brand that I should be using? When using the medication, does it only clear your face or does it also help with back and chest acne?

      Kayleigh Mitchell hey same here did you start? Is it easier ??

    • @kayleighmitchell2456
      @kayleighmitchell2456 4 года назад

      @@lb7002 I did, I just started my second month and this course has been much easier than the first one since the breakout stage was much shorter. The dryness part still sucks, but it's much more manageable since you already know what to use to combat it, and you already kind of have a set 'routine' from the last time. I wish you all the luck on this go-round, and I hope everything goes well :)
      P.S. Taking fish oil helps a lot with back pain and joint pain, curcumin helps with joints and inflammation, and milk thistle helps to keep your liver healthy

      I'm on month five and as well have muscle ache, whole body hurts and really bad conjunctivitis in both eyes, really bad headaches everyday but I previously suffered from bad headaches they just got a whole lot worse when I hit the 60mg dosage.my doctor expected me to go up to 80mg.i said I cannot even handle 60 so he said ok you'll have to do 60 mg for much longer than originally planned.....gutted as the accutane makes me moody and its badly affecting my relationship with my boyfriend.

    Just started my first month of treatment( only 4 days in atm) and research definitely became my friend. I just want to know what kind of moisturiser I could use on my face because mine is so sensitive and also did you use any coconut oil on your Akins as I know it can clog your pores but know it saves moisturising after you get out the shower if you use it in the bath

    I had to stop using shampoo in the first few months of my current course. Shampoo made my scalp flake and itch so much it would bleed when I scratched it, and honestly I don't think I'm going to go back to shampooing. I wash my hair with conditioner now and my hair isn't oily, greasy, or anything, and it's never felt so healthy.
