    I get why you’re coming from giving this a high rating. Not everyone wants a custom Core XYZ Revo 9000 X DIY Klipper Rig. You’re paying a premium for the training wheels and convenience here. It’s not just money. Something the 3DP community can’t seem to wrap their heads around is that time and effort is worth something too and this model saves you a lot of time and frustration. I can see this unit being a great addition to a school or daycare without the hassle of “modding” or “upgrading”. It’s also why I also think FlashForge has a place in the 3DP community. I’d rather someone start with a good (if fairly overpriced) printer with training wheels so they get hooked on the actual PRINTING and not get sucked down the “modding” rabbit hole with some DIY cheap Chinese fixer upper printer. All of this coming from someone who’s done several modded builds.

    Why people complain so much. Great review! Looks like a great printer. Getting one from my daughter. Coming from Makerbot #56 which even had to build the electronics including the paste soldering this is Fantastic! I think lots of people are spoiled these days, looking at the comments. 10 cm x 10 cm and it was a mission just to get the first layer to stick. My time is worth way more. I am looking forward to just play!

    I wanted to say thank you for making this video, I was trying to find something that would split the difference between me and my 6 year old nephew to justify the cost of a 3D printer, and this is perfect! And the last comment about being a child of God brought tears to my eyes. Thank you and God bless you.

    I was on the short list to review one of these a long while back….ended up beta testing the software for them but not getting the printer to use it with. Haha

    Im leaning towards this one for our first 3D printer. Primarily for my 11 year old. Is the Adventurer 3 as user friendly and does it have a software with ready to print designs?
    I’m trying to choose between the Toybox, Adventurer 3 and this X Maker. 😅

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  7 месяцев назад +3

      No, the Adventurer 3 doesn't have the library of easy to use toys to print with it. Between those three, I kind of think you'll have a better time with this one.

    @mortalwombat5811 9 месяцев назад +2

    Come on, Joe. You're better than this.
    I can't believe you're actually recommending this printer so highly. It's s slow, small, PLA-only bedslinger with a plastic chassis and a faketack build plate that they have the gall to charge $500 for. $500 will buy a printer that is several orders of magnitude better than this (Like an A1 mini WITH an AMS). Heck, with $500 you could buy at least two (and possibly three) printers which are substantially better than this. I can't imagine any situation where this thing is even worth considering, let alone actually buying. So it's got some colorful lights on the front and a bunch of preloaded print files. Those aren't actual selling points, and I think you know that.

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, those glowy lights make me happy.
      Go back a few videos. "3d Printing sucks and it needs to be better". It's linked in the cards. This printer 100% answered that call.
      Now the hardware is not as bad as you're playing it up to be. But on top of that, developing software and populating it with free models ain't free. Programmers and skilled designers don't come cheap.
      Sure, you could get a more bare bones system that suits your needs for cheaper, but my recommendation isn't for you. It's about those who need a little more hand holdover along the path before they'll feel ready.
      It's about no more abandoned 3s printers.

    The first print that pulled from the bed was crap. And then you recommended this to schools without even showing it printing. 👎

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  9 месяцев назад +2

      That first print was a level test. And it was level from the factory. I call that a win.
      But you misheard. I recommend the Adventurer 3 to school. I recommend this to first time individuals.
