    $399 for this is a terrible value. You’re getting a tiny print volume, and very slow prints. The only thing it has going for it is the enclosure, which is useless because I doubt you could print with any material that would need an enclosure.

      Suggestions for other printers that are super easy/kid friendly?

      @@UnboxAnalysisOfficial as dragged out as it is, the ender 3, particularly the Ender 3 V-2 Neo, or the A1 mini would absolutely be good picks for children. I would personally much rather teach my child how to use an actual 3D printer like the two of them. They both have the ability to be extremely simple to use, therefore could easily be taught to a child. But they also both provide the ability to teach your child a more and more in depth education on printers. Starting them out simple and then switching to a completely different product doesn’t simplify the learning process. That’s something we can’t have when we’re trying to educate children, and the world needs more children interested in STEM. This printer still will have all the same issues that a “real” printer would. It’s still going to clog. It’s still going to have parts go bad. And at the same time as a parent, you give up ease of access to parts to keep teaching your child without going through the manufacturer or having to identify parts yourself. The A1 Mini is $299 with a simple interface and auto bed leveling. The Ender 3 V-2 Neo is usually less than $200 and has auto bed leveling and a still fairly simple interface. To me, auto leveling and the interface are the only things that really need to matter with teaching a child.

      Yes, just need a parent to set it up. The bambu a1 mini or the a1.

      I got the Creality k1 for about $50 cheaper than that on sale. I am a beginner and I haven't had any issues with it and I got a larger build area than this one.

    It's nice to see so many easy to use options and how far 3d printing has come in the budget category. I started on an ender 3 but it's far from plug and play to get the perfect print and can be very discouraging for new users. It's awesome to see 3d printing become more accessible.

      Print speed wasnt too bad, the slowest part was the feed spot. Open to suggestions on other ones to check out though

    My stepdad just got a 3d printer. It definitely wasn’t a cheap one but when he was showing it to me and printed a working bearing in about 20 minutes I was amazed . I didn’t even realise they could do that. He’s printed tons of cool Xmas stuff. But the thing that put me of was the price of the filament. It’s definitely not cheap so however easy the machine is I would be stuck at that hurdle. Great product though and I’m sure youngsters would have a great time with this

    Just wondering. I have never done 3D printing before and don't know anything about but am very interested in it. My question is the filament part. Like can you use weed eater string line as a filament replacement? Great video BTW.

    • @UnboxAnalysisOfficial
      @UnboxAnalysisOfficial  8 месяцев назад

      Na that stuff wouldnt melt down correctly! Plus you can buy rolls of filament bigger than the one i had in this video for like 15$ on amazon.

    • @josiahong5177
      @josiahong5177 8 месяцев назад +1

      Its possible but you should not do it. Weed whacker line when heated can release cyanide gas alongside other fumes that can be deadly. It would be safer to stick to purpose made 3d printer filanent and filament should provide better print results also for a lower cost
