    Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are the definitive Batman and Joker. Sure there are worthy successors like Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker, but Kevin and Mark are the most iconic. When I read a comic I hear Kevin and Mark.

    This is still my personal favorite Batman film, including all the live-action ones. It's also part of Batman: The Animated Series (Set during Season 1), which features amazing episodes focusing on other Batman characters beyond the Joker, though he's, of course, a major part of the show as well. Then there's Batman Beyond, a show set decades later following the next Batman, with an old Bruce as his mentor. In between, there's Superman: The Animated Series, following Superman, showcasing his rise as a character. Finally, there's Justice League, a show that brings everyone together like The Avengers. These are all incredible shows that blow the live-action counterparts out of the water.
    13:47 The flashbacks take place in the 1980s, while the present-day events involving the Phantasm unfold in the early 1990s. Like Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, the series and film adopt a timeless aesthetic, heavily influenced by the 1940s and 1950s. From fashion to vehicles to Art Deco architecture, the style evokes that era. However, there's also 1990s technology, such as computers and voice recorders, giving the setting a unique hybrid of old and new, a distinct look and feel.
    The art style is also heavily inspired by the Fleischer Superman cartoons from the 1940s, which still looks stunning today. Combined with this art direction and the timeless aesthetic, the animation feels much older than its actual release, and in a good way. It's easy to imagine this as something that could have been released in the 1940s.

    The Joker doesn't hate Batman. In his own twisted way, he loves him and wants him to see things from his perspective. His perspective just happens to be completely insane.
    Batman doesn't kill, because he saw his parents get killed in front of him, and his whole crusade is essentially against deadly violence. Death itself is his sworn enemy, in a sense. Everyone is a proxy for his parents, so to let anyone die would be to let his parents die all over again.

  • @2301WAYNE
    @2301WAYNE Месяц назад +11

    Yes, Batman is hated in his city by everyone, kind of like real world as many hold him responsible but Batman doesn't care if gets hated since he is not doing it for praise which is one of the many reasons Batman is my most favourite character in fiction.
    It's hard to express the reason he doesn't kill in words. Since it's a feeling of experience the more and more you know about his past and experience as he stands for for hope and inspiration.
    All of Batman Villains are personal. What makes them iconic is that they all think and quote exactly like Batman but on evil side. They don't hate Batman but rather respects and admires Batman. And Batman also don't carry hate either, he fights for everyone else.

      @callmejacob3234 Месяц назад

      It's actually pretty simple to explain why Batman doesn't kill he cares about his villains. It's that simple. He feels responsible for them and wants to help them. Well at least before DC doubled down on Psycho Bat-God. Now he's just an edgelord that likes beating up his villains. Frank Miller did a lot of harm to Batman's character.

    • @2301WAYNE
      @2301WAYNE Месяц назад

      @@callmejacob3234Yes, That's the main reason but I am also talking about why Batman Cares, other than doing the right thing, his promise and everything there are many reasons which I feel like are the ones can't described in words but could be express through knowing him and his past and all.
      I also didn't liked Bat-God story. It was so out of character. It's not the first time writers didn't know how to write Batman, there are many moments where it feels even the best writers forgot The Batman's main characteristics juts wrote it along, I also try to avoid those but sadly curiosity always ruins it.

    • @callmejacob3234
      @callmejacob3234 Месяц назад

      @@2301WAYNE I blame Frank Miller for Psycho Bat-God. I feel like All Star Batman destroyed Batman's character.

    • @2301WAYNE
      @2301WAYNE Месяц назад

      @callmejacob3234 Yep I don't know how Fank Miller screwed up after creating 2 of the best Batman Comic Books, and With The Dark Knight Returns it made sense since he is old and stop holding back which makes it brutal but even with that There are moments of care and noble. I feel like All-Star should have taken it in elseworld without Frank Miller's comments about it. It's really crazy that of all the names it had to be named All-Star with such a good art at that.
      I mean everyone can have thier own Batman that's also of the many reasons it's so great, It's not like I mind anyone liking Edge Batman like All-Star Or Whatever as an alternative Elseworld like Batman Reptilian too but not in The same continuity, as long as they know that's just a elseworld screw-up, the worst thing about it is the other characters act accurately except for The main character Batman speaking of which It's also the reason I don't mind people liking live-action ones like Christian Bale Batman and all too as long as it's own thing and keeps a few characteristics same. It's bizzare of how In the dark knight trilogy some characters are portrayed almost perfectly but Batman itself was inaccurate and acting stupid and uncool, i enjoyed them as movies though but not as adaptations. Batman Begins is the best one that I can forgive for the being start and having some considerations.
      Also I don't consider Bat-God canon, like live-action ones. I don't care if it's official or not, for me it isn't. Because it's stupid more so than live-action like Christian Bale ones, I mean without powers Batman is so smart, but with powers it was so dumb I was like how, who and why. The writers certainly didn't know anything. I feel like the fans would have wrote better. For some reasons writers juts forget what Batman really is when E they give him powers or make meet up with Talia-Al Ghul. I feel like all writers hate Talia-Al Ghul for screwing and ruining up the relationship so much too.

    Great reaction!
    I wouldn't say Batman and Joker hate each other. Maybe Batman hates Joker, but Joker loves Batman in a very twisted way in his crazy mind. They both are like a representation of Yin-yang. I still recommend Batman: Year One to more insights on his origin animated wise, at least, but if you want to know more about Batman and Joker... Well, maybe Batman: The Killing Joke or Batman Beyond - The Return of Joker are good movies for that... Maybe even Batman - The Dark Knight part 1 and 2. Not so sure about the last 3 (Beyond and Dark Knight 1 and 2), because I feel like it would be better to get more lore about Batman before watching these, but what you know might be enough.

    You don't seem too familiar with The Batman so here is a little background info,
    This movie is a spin off of the very popular Batman: The Animated Series, TV show that ran from 1992-1995. The show featured several well known characters from the comics but had a different take on most of them. There are two movies after this one. The 2nd features more characters from the show. The 3rd introduces a new character. The show lead to several follow up shows including Superman: The Animated Series, two Justice League animated series (Justice League and Justice League Unlimited) and another Batman show set in the future (Batman Beyond). B:TAS was a mix of lighthearted and darker episodes. It borrowed from the comic books but made up most of it's own stories and lore. So it's not the same as what happens in the comics. In fact only a couple of stories were pulled right out of the comics. This movie is following the TV show's lore. Andrea is a new character made up for this movie but the other characters, Alfred, Gordon, Joker are the versions from the show.
    The comics are different. Batman is a dark character but not a killer. Joker is insane and a mass murderer, which why Batman hates him. The Joker has a crazy love/hate relationship with Batman. He loves to cause him problems and hates that he wins most of their battles.
    While different the animated movies are closer to the comics than the live action movies but for the best Batman stories you'd have to go to the comics. But if you are just doing movies Batman: Year One is a very faithful animated adaption of the comics that show when Bruce was just starting his war on crime.

    Even though it seems you didn't understand a thing about this movie, I can safely say that Joker and Batman doesn't hate each other. It's complicated than that when you get more familiar to these characters.
    Also Andrea and Bruce couldn't stay together because of their trauma and promises about vengeance. They couldn't let that behind, Bruce being Batman and her being the Phantasm. Both are all alone at the end.
    Also Batman doesn't kill. His enemies are murderers and worse. Unfortunately Andrea killed a lot of people too. I don't understand how someone could ever hate her but it's the first time I see such a reaction. If you hate her it's kinda weird not blame Bruce either in that sense because they are almost the same.
    Joker doesn't hate anyone, he finds that fun and do whatever. He is obsessed with Batman because he won't kill him for having a moral code and Joker won't kill Batman because he is too much fun to have around and play. It's just the tip of the iceberg. There is a lice action movie about the Batman and Joker first meeting and it could be very nice having a little more of why they are always fighting over and over feeding each other's madness.
    And yes Joker is insane, but very smart one! Batman is also not very sane sometimes if you at least get the idea why he wears a bat suit lol
    The live action movies are very well regarded and called The Dark Knight trilogy. Christopher Nolan's direction are very good in storytelling and the first one is Batman Begins. You'll get more about Bruce's entire motives and reasons why he is the way he is.

    I like Andrea her reasons is understandable but neither one of em can be with each other cause Andrea just chose vengeance for her dad over Bruce when Bruce was gonna give up being Batman for her & This movie is also part of the Animated series which is amazing. I also love that they explain why Bruce doesn’t really do serious relationships much & that graveyard scene of him talking to his parents is my favorite asking his dead parents why he has to keep trying to make the city safer & he can’t be happy

    Andrea couldn't stay with Bruce because she represents everything he wasn't. Batman and Joker are opposite each other, but neither actually hates the other. Batman believes that even the Joker can be redeemed. That's one of the reasons he doesn't kill. If he didn't believe in redemption, he would have killed Joker and many other criminals. Joker thinks he needs Batman to complete him and his purpose in existing..
