Out of all the DC animated feature films I've ever watched, THIS ONE has the most EPIC music to START the move. That music playing in the beginning chase scene with the Parademon and Batman crashing into the buildings.....It's the best overall moment of the movie. The scene pacing, the music build up, the tension; other moment are more epic indifferent ways, but that intro just goes really hard core. And then there's the music in the scene where Cyborg gets created in his father's lab. The best music score they've ever made for an animated feature.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. The best starting movie for Green Lantern is Green Lantern First Flight. The best introduction for Superman is probably the first 3 episodes of Superman The Animated Series because it’s all one full origin story or if you wanted a movie then probably Superman 1978. The best introduction to Shazam would probably be Shazam 2019
This movie is based on DC's New 52 Series, it's not liked because of adding some unlikable traits to the characters like arrogance to Superman and Wonder Woman and making them vulnerable and weak. Which affected almost all characters. Even so I am sure like me every DC love to see someone enjoy it. It does have great concepts and stories. Even though The T.V series of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited is definitive and the best one. This is also a good movie to let know of Justice League's formation. The Main Villain of this Is Darkseid basically the one of the if not the most evil character in fiction, he was born evil and even as baby from the moment he open his eyes he's unstoppable. The form that he uses is not it's true as it something he made so that the universe could handle his presence or else the universe would get destroy from his presence alone. Since he wants to conquer and make everyone his slave he doesn't do that or else he would already killed everyone instantly.
I love the green lantern & Batman banter in this it’s just fun & yea this is in the Flashpoint order after Flashpoint everything reset so everyone is meeting again for the first time . Barry forgot the flashpoint happened since his memories reset. There’s some good green lantern films too and a series explaining more of that lore
Yep. This is what is called a soft reboot. That where writers have done all they can for a specific character or a group of characters and they need something new and fresh. so they will create an event that ends the entire universe BUT creates a new one in it's place (or often times the new universe runs parallel). So for the context of THIS movie All the "heroes" are still unknown to each other and to much the the World as a whole.
"Why is he so strong?" Well you see, he SUPERMAN. There is NO hero stronger than him. Like at all. In The marvel Universe Earth needs The Avengers to protect it. DC has Superman.
If you want The following would be the best to know each of characters through the movies. Batman Year One Superman 1978 And Superman 2(There are many greatest portryals of Superman but Christopher Reeve one is the definitive one) Green Lantern First Flight Wonder Woman 2017 (To me the best interpretation is of Wonder Woman is In TV Series of Justice League And Justice League Unlimited. The Live-action one has both fans and some just don't like it just because of hype. I get the Second one does ruin the character but personally think the first one is good. The Animated Movies of her do need justice) Shazam 2019 (my least favourite character but could see someone enjoying the movie) Aquaman 2018 (The sequel is hated because of controversies behind the scenes and overall. I think it's a good comedy family movie if it's seen As one as a fun time with the characters. I know a lot of people who enjoyed it. Some even liking it better because of the fun. But yeah overall it's hated by many because of controversies so much so people stated they hate the first one despite enjoying it.)
I'm not the biggest fan of this rendition of Superman and the other characters, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. This film, along with the overall universe, is inspired by the New 52 (2011-2016) reboot of DC, which introduced a darker and grittier take on the DC Universe, including the Justice League. This extends to character designs as well, such as Superman's more militant-looking suit featuring a high neck collar and the absence of his iconic red trunks. I really don't like this take on Superman at all, but he does evolve closer to the hopeful and inspirational Man of Steel we know from past renditions. Grant Morrison's Action Comics run on the New 52 Superman was amazing and felt much closer to the Superman we know and love. However, this version of Superman starts out moody and angry. In the New 52, Superman lost both Ma and Pa Kent in a car crash during his high school prom, so he grew into adulthood without their guidance, becoming a more angry and isolated version of the character. In contrast, the version prior to this had Clark become Superboy (a young Superman during his high school years) in his early teens. The Kents also lived to witness his journey to becoming Superman and remained a steady presence in his life throughout his adult years. Batman hasn’t changed much in the New 52, he’s pretty solid overall. But it just feels like they took the tone of Batman and applied it to the entire DC Universe and its characters, which is similar to what Zack Snyder did with the DCEU. This approach has contributed to the misconception that DC is inherently darker than Marvel, which isn’t true at all. Both universes balance dark and light tones equally. To me, the DCAMU films, starting with Flashpoint, are very hit or miss. As someone who was never a big fan of the New 52 (aside from Batman), I just never connected with these movies. The solo DC films outside of the DCAMU, like Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and Justice League: Doom, offer better takes on these characters and the Justice League. They do a much better job of exploring different tones and highlighting individual character styles. Plus, each of those films has its own unique animation style, unlike the DCAMU films, which stuck to a very uninspired, uniform look throughout.
Nobody cares. I loved New 52, I loved this Superman, New 52 is actually one of the most successful comics in history of DC comics. Specially Superman and Wonder Woman comics. I liked Zack Snyder Superman. I won't like Gunn's stupid Superman movie either. People like you are part of problem why dc isn't more popular than Marvel.
@browndestroyer3016 dude, most of the New 52 spent its time trying to undo itself, and the new 52 Superman literally got replaced by PRE-52 Superman. Like what you like, but don't pretend you can't see why others have problems with whatever, whether you don't find it a problem or are fine enough with it you can't not see what others see to an extent
@Alex_the_Ahsum let me give you a reality check since you are arguing with someone who specialises this stuff, REBIRTH failed. Pre New 52 flopped, Post Crisis flopped. New 52 is the only bright spot in DC comics history. So you can pretend that what you are saying - true, in reality nothing is on your side, no fact, no comics sale, nothing, so much so that DC comics had to bring currently Absolute Universe to copy New 52. And it's the most popular thing currently. So yes, don't argue with people who knows about this stuff more than you.
