To Coy's point that it felt like an Elseworlds, it is because it's based on the New 52 which is essentially a different universe from what we grew up with. All of his issues with this film are exactly why the New 52 ultimately failed and was soft rebooted with Rebirth a few years later.

In regards to Superman. These movies are based on the New 52 Era of comics (2011-2016) and they use the Superman of that era. What a lot of people are not aware of is there are multiple versions of Superman in the comics and not this singular interpretation that is the "right: version people want to view him as. Movies and TV have their on interpretations that tend to be polluted with the influences of those mediums but in the comics Superman is tweaked about every 10-15 years. Most fans aren't familiar with the Golden Age Superman who is much more rough and tumble than more modern interpretations. The Golden Age Superman is closer to what people think Batman is like than what they think goody goody Superman is like. Silver age Superman stories a lot more light hearted. Late Silver age and Bronze Age Superman is more of the greatest hero in the universe who's adventures spanned the universe. Post-Crisis (on Infinite Earths) We get another version of the character. And we've had a few more changes since then including the New 52 The live action movies are not an interpretation of any of these versions but more of a cherry picking merged with movie making changes. TV shows use very little from the comics beyond the names of some the characters and focus more the relationships with the rest of the case. The animated movies draw a little more from the comics like plot ideas and story arcs but change up the story a bit. These New 52 movie will tell some older stories but with different characters than the original stories. People tend to latch on the version that they were first introduced to. If it was a movie then they think that's the classic Superman despite the fact is there is no canon when the movies are released. If it's a comics it whatever era the are they started with in general. That Superman is hard to write is something I hear but only from people who have never written a Superman story. And I think part of the reason they say this is because they think there is only one version of the character because they can't see past the surface and they don't know about the character's history and their story consist of nothing but a slugfest.
The fact Coy hasn't read New 52 is probably why he's so weirded out by this movie. To be fair though, these movies are like watered down versions of the comics, the way the characters are written is definitely a little different, especially Wonder Woman. Also the movie, though close to the first bit of New 52 Justice League, had a few minor changes that actually make a huge difference. Firstly, Aquaman was there, not Shazam. This changed the whole dynamic as we had Aquaman proving how badass he was to Hal Jordan. It also made them stabbing Darkseids eyes more plausible cos, a random crowbar couldn't pierce his eye but, Aquamans trident could. I also disagree with Coy about Darkseid, I think he wasn't well characterized in this. Darkseid is a lot more methodical with his plans.
I don't understand why so many reaction channels just go through the New 52 movies. Yeah there's a continuity, but the pre 52 one offs are just so much better
It actually gets worse with every movie. This one was the last one that's actually pretty close to comics. Everything after that is pretty much fanfiction.
Green lantern & Batman’s dynamic in this was my favorite 😂so damn funny & this whole line of films is great for what it is, how everyone else acted I didn’t mind

@@hollywoodguy70 JL Origin was actually one of the high points of the N52, minus Superman being kinda a dick (That was a general problem in the N52. N52 Superman was kinda a dick). The N52 had some good parts. I feel that's something that gets lost in discussion because everyone focuses on the really terrible stuff.
i think this was something like what snyder was going for. except he didn't get to use reynolds' lantern or levi's shazam. and he was forced to rush into the league before it was ready.
I think Hal was pretty spot-on for a younger Hal. He is pretty cocky at times, a little hot-headed, and usually has a bit of an abrasive personality to certain characters. But I think as he grows with age and experience, he would mellow out a bit and becoming more mature and a leader in the Corps, and then when he first meets Guy… that would be a little bit of a wake up call to him of what he used to be like, but turned up to another degree. I could see characters like John, Bruce, Barry, Clark, etc, pointing out to Hal (jokingly) that he was like that sometimes, and Hal rolling his eyes or covering his face with his hand in embarrassment.
Personally i grew up with these movies so it great to see yall watch them, there is in total 15 films in the DCAMU storyline (in chronological order at bottom) and i really hope yall love it as much as i did. these were very much an adaptation of the New 52 Storyline sine this was released near the launch of tht. I do think its kinda funny though that when Joss Wedon did his cut of Justice League, He used an opening that closely resembled the opening to this movie. How is Flashpoint first? It starts with Flash knowing everyone, and ends with Flash knowing at least Batman for sure, yet War has him going “Batman’s real?”
I agree..I always been more of a Bats/WW due to the Justice League cartoon..I never liked Supes and WW..It comes off as hey, let's just pair up the Superman and female version(strength wise) it just had no depth to it bc of this to me.
Yeah, Clark and Diana feels like a lazy "like likes like" pairing. Not saying Clark can't see anyone else before Lois, there's obviously Lana Lang, and I'm not saying Clark and Diana couldn't be each other's type, Clark is a decent person and Diana is a very strong personality, but it's just not interesting. Diana flirting with Batman is a much more fun dynamic, because she's so warm and social (but unburdened by learned mainland norms) and he's...vaguely gray-asexual and autistic-coded and has a lot of emotional baggage. Also, Diana being paired with women is something under-explored, so that's another thing I'd rather see than her going for her closest male counterpart. Or, you know, she could be great on her own without any need for romance.
WW is really annoying. She acts as if She's the very embodiment of truth or something. And Supes is an OP naive. Batman is the only real G here who makes sense.
I really hope you guys continue with The rest of what are nicknamed “The new 52” movies it has a satisfying conclusion and Flashpoint Paradox is what made the flash my favourite super hero, and these movies are some of my favourite adaptations of comic events❤
OK, so notice how every beat of the action scenes gets a visceral reaction from these two. That is the power of really, REALLY excellent storyboarding, and modern directors would do well to embrace that.
Exactly, the DCAMU was really incredible when it came to choreographing and animating action. The physics and kinetic impact is always on point. That’s one of my issues with the DCAU is at times the fights felt so slow with little impact
@@chuckjammy9251 Absolutely right. But remember, the DCAU is where WAG learned to walk. We look back on Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Static Shock and those shows and we get disappointed with the choreography, but we wouldn't have this DCAMU or Young Justice without those coming first.
It's funny you say that, because the director of this film (Jay Oliva) is a storyboard artist for many live action Superhero films, including Thor Ragnarok and Man of Steel.
I can't wait to see Hal Jordan and the rest of the Green Lanterns in James Gunn's DC universe. The different personalities of Hal, Guy, and John, then adding in Jessica and Kyle later.
Bro I’m soo excited for this new dc universe coz I was never rlly a fan of synder verse coz honestly it was rlly limited to what character can be in that universe. Guys please keep doing these reactions to the dc animated universe it’s honestly really good and get better over each movie. It’s like the MCU with like 15-20 movies. Carries the same voice actors throughout all of it.
Spoilers for the rest of the DCAMU I wish they used Hal and the other Green Lanterns in this universe more. Because I forgot how fun Hal was in this movie but this is his only prominent role in this whole universe.
Great movie! Two movies you guys should definitely check out at some point are Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths and Justice League: Doom! Both are great!
to me personally, i don't mind when characters are a little different. one of the wonderful things about the DC comics, movies and games is the fact that there are so many elseworlds stories. i loved the snyderverse because he was trying to do the injustice run. or at least something close to that. i liked superman and wonder woman in this because it is different from the traditional characters. i always enjoy a bit of a change from time to time. for example, superman's personality in this might be different? but the spirit of superman is still there. atleast to me. a man with god like power who does not kill because all he wants to do is help. i liked wonderwoman because wonderwoman would realistically be a more warrior like person. she comes from a land of warriors and so that mindset will always be there in her. i loved the fight between superman and batman because that is exactly how it would go. batman wouldn't stand a chance in any universe going toe to toe against superman. the way he stops the fight is by being smart. enjoyed the reaction :)
He wasn't trying to do injustice he was doing Legacy combjned with Brave New Metropolis from Superman the Animated series. In Legacy the Episode Darkseid Brainwashes Superman to think he was Darkseids son and turns him loose on earth. In BNM Superman Lois travels to an Alternate Metropolis where Superman has taken over after her Death. Evil Superman has been done long before Injustice. Hell just look at the A Better World Justice League Episode.
I hope you guys are watching these chronologically, because based on your opinions on this adaptation of Batman, I think you’ll love the next installment of this series
Seriously the epic rise in music for an intro scene (when batman and Lantern chase the Parademon) is just awesome. It was something movies hadn't really done all that often. You don't really get the epic music score until the huge epic battle in the final act.
I agree w/ most of what was said here. I felt something similar at first. As I watched the other films in this same universe the characters began to grow on me. You will probably really enjoy Son of Batman and Batman Vs. Robin. I highly recommend you watch those films.
This one is definitely not as beloved as Flashpoint Paradox. This universe is fun as a whole, with great and pretty mid movies throughout. Not sure if you should watch the whole universe or just the great solo movies like Under the Red Hood. I would recommend standalone movies like Justice League Doom, Justice League The New Frontier, All Star Superman, Superman vs The Elite, Green Lantern First Flight, Batman Gotham Knight, Superman/Batman Public Enemies, Justice League Crisis on Two Earths, and Superman/Batman Apocalypse. There are also some great ones part of this interconnected universe
This is one of my top 3 favorite DC animated films. I have lost count how many times I have watched it, and that is fine. Lol!! I'm super glad another channel is doing these movies, and hopefully, you reach the Batman and Robin trilogy and then Justice Leagie Dark. All are favorites of mine. Green Lantern was a gem in this film and becomes even more so when Nathan Fillion voices him. Enjoy this road of movies you are on, and I can not wait for more reactions to them. Thank you, guys!!
I totally agree with Coy, I remember watching Flashpoint when it came out and being absolutely blown away with it and being so hyped for the next stories afterwards. I don't read the comics but I have always loved the animated movies. But when this movie came out, I totally had to try to enjoy the movie and think to myself that the characters could've been written differently. Definitely a C rating in my opinion
This should be the inspiration for the new justice league from the way of showing the abilities of each member, the good comic moments that do not destroy the personality of each character and the relationship between the heroes, of course, eliminating what is not necessary or is repetitive, such as using darkseid or making a relationship between wonder woman and superman
I’m not the biggest DC fan but these movies are something i’ve been dying for people to react to! And i love you guys!! So it’s a win win for me if you guys continue watching these movies in order! Next one is Son of Batman i believe!

Well, definitely Batman, Flash, and Shazam seem most textbooky. For as much as I loved Hal, I agree that him, Supes, and WW were the off-beats. That being said this set of movies is very entertaining. And if you guys loved Batman here. You should watch the rest of the Batman animated films in this style. They’re great

You're right about certain things being different during the new 52, for example Superman and Wonder Woman hook up and are together for a time during the new 52, thus the flirtation between them, and Green Lantern and Batman butt heads which it depicts here. Anyway, some things are a bit different since this connected animated universe kicked off and ends pretty much with the new 52
You should check out literally any other DC animated films. The DCAMU was just about the worst gaggle of animated films DC ever threw together! At least when compared to the rest of their animated films.
sooooo are we doing JUST the JL titles from the DCAMU or the WHOLE saga from War cause it's meaty (+11 movies) but it's SO effing worth!!!!! Son of Batman is "next" and I just want to see your reaction to Damien and the relationship between him and Bruce brought to life. it's honestly chef's kiss. Throne of Atlantis is the next *JUSTICE LEAGUE* title after War.... pretty much what James Wan's Aquaman movie was based off of only WAY better character interactions between the actual League than in JL War. Also brings back the story beats and other elements of Flashpoint; introduces Aquaman and his world obviously & to the complaint you had here you get get to see a little bit of Clark and Diana in "civilian life" Batman Vs Robin - 10/10. probably my favorite movie in the entire series. AMAZING fight choreo, voice acting is killer and it's just an epic story in this self contained world these writers and directors have created. There's just something about Batman in this universe..... he's just raw as hell and the writers and directors are BRILLIANT with him. It's peak here. Batman Bad Blood - is a murder mystery that expands the Bat-Family Justice League vs Teen Titans is why you need to be watching the "Batman side of things" in this universe or you won't know the how or why behind Damien. GREAT characterizations of the Titans and it just feels SO good to see them in this more mature universe!!!!! Suicide Squad Hell to Pay - another GREAT, James Gunn esc, epic!!!!! AMAZING roster!!!!! AMAZING character interactions!!!!! AMAZING reveal/ twist!!!!!! Justice League Dark - Batman Constantine & Zatanna on the same team.... it really doesn't get more metal than that lol also there's a League expansion as Shazam is "away." Teen Titans Judas Contract in "Flashpoint" fashion is EXACTLY as the title implies and is adapted so frickin well it's almost too well in one aspect... Death of Superman is another 10/10 for me.... without going into spoilers all I can say it's just raw as hell from very beginning also ironically it's the movie where Superman feels THE MOST like Superman (within the new 52) before Apokolips War Reign of Superman introduces a whole slew of Superman based replacements in a world that's now left wondering what to do WITHOUT Superman & then you can honestly just skip to Apokolips War as City of Demons is a Constantine origin/self reflection epic, Batman Hush was not so well done in a personal opinion and is a BIG side track that has nothing to do with anything so it just FEELS like a waste of time and WW Bloodlines is decent but it feels adjacent because it's doesn't feel like the WW that's been established in this universe and they oddly change the art style for her only to return to the art style they'd been using the entire time in Justice League Apokolips War And Apokolips War........ is the Avengers Endgame of the DCAMU that wraps a ribbon on the wild but UNMATCHED Cinema that is this series 😌🔥
I love this movie and still have the steelbook edition for it. This is the launch of the DC new 52 animated verse or they say Jason O' Mara verse as he was the connective tissue voicing Batman throughout its run leading up to Apokolips War.
Apart from nerfing the best characters in DC, I feel real bad for Green lanterns character, he got potential and has one of the strongest powers in the universe i.e. "Will" but DCAU writers show him as a cocky, egoistic and stupid guy.

Jack the king Kirby created Darksied for dc comics then went to work for marvel were they asked him to creat a Darksied for them thus Thanos was born, so Darksied is Thanos’s older stronger brother.
Good to see so many enjoy *Green Lantern.* I always liked his costume as a kid. But I really don't like his powers. IMO they come across as too _Looney Tunes._ I agree with your take on the _New 52_ as well. For the most part, it's not my cup of tea. And I am right on board with your take on *_Superman,_* over the new darker take. I also have one huge problem with the modern telling if *_Shazam!_* Continuing with the mentality of a child when he becomes *_Shazam!_* is crap IMO. The new 52 rebooted the old dc universe that's why superman Hal and Diana was acting differently when dc rebirth happens each hero slowly mature and become the hero we know and love if u continue to watch the serise the characters would go back to the heroes you know

As a huge DC fan, I’m rlly happy that u guys r reacting to DC animated movies. JL new 52 vol 1 ( movie based on this comic) was my first ever comic book that I brought so this movie has a very special place in my heart. The DCAMU is rlly good some hits some don’t but overall a very interesting and rich universe
The DC animated universe is the closest thing us DC fans got to an mcu hopefully you guys continue you it some movies are obviously worse than others but in my opinion all of them are pretty good especially the last one 🙌

Sorry I know I've said a lot, but ultimately I'm saying you're right, your take on them and why you might have enjoyed flashpoint differently, which really flashpoint is a better movie, it's meant to be a stand alone movie similar to mask of the phantasm, this connected universe just used the reset Barry does to start a new universe, one thats both connected and aligned with the new 52. There's a ton of movies in this connected universe though, I believe even Batman hush fell into this universe although I could be wrong about that, definitely bad blood, death in the family, son of Batman, and Batman vs Robin did.. actually I'd imagine Hush similar to flashpoint is a stand alone movie, but again, all those other Batman movies are, then you got a few superman movies like death of Superman and reign of Superman, you got a ww movie, a green lantern one, you got two teen titan movies in this connected universe, and two different Constantine movies, one of which is called Justice League Dark, among others.. Constantine really becomes the heart and sole of this universe believe it or not, and is the focal point of this connected universes final movie and "end game" in justice league apocalypse war (thus the Dark added to the title, anything dealing with the mystical side of DC in this universe they attach the word dark to the title). Trust me, if you watch them all you'll find Constantine to be the main character in this connected universe, their Iron man basically..

Son of Batman is the next movie. This version of Batman is probably my 2nd favorite version of Batman after Kevin Conroy’s Batman.
Superman vs the Elite (the animated adaptation of the comic "What's so funny about truth, justice and the American way") is a perfect rebuttal to all the more agro, Dickish takes on the Man of Steel that are becoming more and more prevalent these days. Really enjoyed the reaction. Was a delight!
After watching the entire New 52 DCAU, I hope you also go watch Young Justice. Or if you have already seen the series, then find the DC Abridged Universe on RUclips, which combines the movies and Young Justice. Just that the series has ended in a hiatus when it touched the middle of S2.
I hope you guys keep doing it. They're fun to rewatch and to see your reactions and comments on them! As for how I felt about this movie, I grew up with DCAU/Timmverse so those characterizations are what I'm familiar with. So I had some of the same issues with this movie and some of the following ones, but I was still entertained by them. I'd watch most of them again and will if you guys have reactions to them.
This feels like a third act movie but it’s really the intro and builds to a real third act. But follow through with this universe. These characters are awesome.

The N52 had some good parts. I feel that's something that gets lost in discussion because everyone focuses on the really terrible stuff.
i think this was something like what snyder was going for. except he didn't get to use reynolds' lantern or levi's shazam. and he was forced to rush into the league before it was ready.

I think Hal was pretty spot-on for a younger Hal. He is pretty cocky at times, a little hot-headed, and usually has a bit of an abrasive personality to certain characters. But I think as he grows with age and experience, he would mellow out a bit and becoming more mature and a leader in the Corps, and then when he first meets Guy… that would be a little bit of a wake up call to him of what he used to be like, but turned up to another degree. I could see characters like John, Bruce, Barry, Clark, etc, pointing out to Hal (jokingly) that he was like that sometimes, and Hal rolling his eyes or covering his face with his hand in embarrassment.
Personally i grew up with these movies so it great to see yall watch them, there is in total 15 films in the DCAMU storyline (in chronological order at bottom) and i really hope yall love it as much as i did. these were very much an adaptation of the New 52 Storyline sine this was released near the launch of tht. I do think its kinda funny though that when Joss Wedon did his cut of Justice League, He used an opening that closely resembled the opening to this movie. I agree..I always been more of a Bats/WW due to the Justice League cartoon..I never liked Supes and WW..It comes off as hey, let's just pair up the Superman and female version(strength wise) it just had no depth to it bc of this to me.

Yeah, Clark and Diana feels like a lazy "like likes like" pairing. Not saying Clark can't see anyone else before Lois, there's obviously Lana Lang, and I'm not saying Clark and Diana couldn't be each other's type, Clark is a decent person and Diana is a very strong personality, but it's just not interesting. Diana flirting with Batman is a much more fun dynamic, because she's so warm and social (but unburdened by learned mainland norms) and he's...vaguely gray-asexual and autistic-coded and has a lot of emotional baggage. Also, Diana being paired with women is something under-explored, so that's another thing I'd rather see than her going for her closest male counterpart. Or, you know, she could be great on her own without any need for romance.
WW is really annoying. She acts as if She's the very embodiment of truth or something. And Supes is an OP naive. Batman is the only real G here who makes sense.
I really hope you guys continue with The rest of what are nicknamed “The new 52” movies it has a satisfying conclusion and Flashpoint Paradox is what made the flash my favourite super hero, and these movies are some of my favourite adaptations of comic events❤
OK, so notice how every beat of the action scenes gets a visceral reaction from these two. That is the power of really, REALLY excellent storyboarding, and modern directors would do well to embrace that.

Exactly, the DCAMU was really incredible when it came to choreographing and animating action. The physics and kinetic impact is always on point. That’s one of my issues with the DCAU is at times the fights felt so slow with little impact
@@chuckjammy9251 Absolutely right. But remember, the DCAU is where WAG learned to walk. We look back on Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Static Shock and those shows and we get disappointed with the choreography, but we wouldn't have this DCAMU or Young Justice without those coming first.

It's funny you say that, because the director of this film (Jay Oliva) is a storyboard artist for many live action Superhero films, including Thor Ragnarok and Man of Steel.
I can't wait to see Hal Jordan and the rest of the Green Lanterns in James Gunn's DC universe. The different personalities of Hal, Guy, and John, then adding in Jessica and Kyle later.

I wish they used Hal and the other Green Lanterns in this universe more. Because I forgot how fun Hal was in this movie but this is his only prominent role in this whole universe.
Great movie! Two movies you guys should definitely check out at some point are Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths and Justice League: Doom! Both are great!
to me personally, i don't mind when characters are a little different. one of the wonderful things about the DC comics, movies and games is the fact that there are so many elseworlds stories. i loved the snyderverse because he was trying to do the injustice run. or at least something close to that.
i liked superman and wonder woman in this because it is different from the traditional characters. i always enjoy a bit of a change from time to time. for example, superman's personality in this might be different? but the spirit of superman is still there. atleast to me. a man with god like power who does not kill because all he wants to do is help.
i liked wonderwoman because wonderwoman would realistically be a more warrior like person. she comes from a land of warriors and so that mindset will always be there in her.
i loved the fight between superman and batman because that is exactly how it would go. batman wouldn't stand a chance in any universe going toe to toe against superman. the way he stops the fight is by being smart.

He wasn't trying to do injustice he was doing Legacy combjned with Brave New Metropolis from Superman the Animated series. In Legacy the Episode Darkseid Brainwashes Superman to think he was Darkseids son and turns him loose on earth. In BNM Superman Lois travels to an Alternate Metropolis where Superman has taken over after her Death. Evil Superman has been done long before Injustice. Hell just look at the A Better World Justice League Episode.
I hope you guys are watching these chronologically, because based on your opinions on this adaptation of Batman, I think you’ll love the next installment of this series

Seriously the epic rise in music for an intro scene (when batman and Lantern chase the Parademon) is just awesome. It was something movies hadn't really done all that often. You don't really get the epic music score until the huge epic battle in the final act.
I agree w/ most of what was said here. I felt something similar at first. As I watched the other films in this same universe the characters began to grow on me. You will probably really enjoy Son of Batman and Batman Vs. Robin. I highly recommend you watch those films.

This one is definitely not as beloved as Flashpoint Paradox. This universe is fun as a whole, with great and pretty mid movies throughout. Not sure if you should watch the whole universe or just the great solo movies like Under the Red Hood. I would recommend standalone movies like Justice League Doom, Justice League The New Frontier, All Star Superman, Superman vs The Elite, Green Lantern First Flight, Batman Gotham Knight, Superman/Batman Public Enemies, Justice League Crisis on Two Earths, and Superman/Batman Apocalypse. There are also some great ones part of this interconnected universe

I totally agree with Coy, I remember watching Flashpoint when it came out and being absolutely blown away with it and being so hyped for the next stories afterwards. I don't read the comics but I have always loved the animated movies. But when this movie came out, I totally had to try to enjoy the movie and think to myself that the characters could've been written differently. Definitely a C rating in my opinion
I highly recommend Justice League and Justice League Unlimited for a watchalong, as those shows blow these animated movies right out of the water.
This should be the inspiration for the new justice league from the way of showing the abilities of each member, the good comic moments that do not destroy the personality of each character and the relationship between the heroes, of course, eliminating what is not necessary or is repetitive, such as using darkseid or making a relationship between wonder woman and superman
I’m not the biggest DC fan but these movies are something i’ve been dying for people to react to! And i love you guys!! So it’s a win win for me if you guys continue watching these movies in order! Next one is Son of Batman i believe!

Well, definitely Batman, Flash, and Shazam seem most textbooky. For as much as I loved Hal, I agree that him, Supes, and WW were the off-beats. You're right about certain things being different during the new 52, for example Superman and Wonder Woman hook up and are together for a time during the new 52, thus the flirtation between them, and Green Lantern and Batman butt heads which it depicts here. Anyway, some things are a bit different since this connected animated universe kicked off and ends pretty much with the new 52
You should check out literally any other DC animated films. The DCAMU was just about the worst gaggle of animated films DC ever threw together! At least when compared to the rest of their animated films.

Throne of Atlantis is the next *JUSTICE LEAGUE* title after War.... pretty much what James Wan's Aquaman movie was based off of only WAY better character interactions between the actual League than in JL War. Also brings back the story beats and other elements of Flashpoint; introduces Aquaman and his world obviously & to the complaint you had here you get get to see a little bit of Clark and Diana in "civilian life"
Batman Vs Robin - 10/10. probably my favorite movie in the entire series. AMAZING fight choreo, voice acting is killer and it's just an epic story in this self contained world these writers and directors have created. There's just something about Batman in this universe..... he's just raw as hell and the writers and directors are BRILLIANT with him. It's peak here.
Batman Bad Blood - is a murder mystery that expands the Bat-Family
Justice League vs Teen Titans is why you need to be watching the "Batman side of things" in this universe or you won't know the how or why behind Damien. GREAT characterizations of the Titans and it just feels SO good to see them in this more mature universe!!!!!
Suicide Squad Hell to Pay - another GREAT, James Gunn esc, epic!!!!! AMAZING roster!!!!! AMAZING character interactions!!!!! AMAZING reveal/ twist!!!!!!
Justice League Dark - Batman Constantine & Zatanna on the same team.... it really doesn't get more metal than that lol also there's a League expansion as Shazam is "away."
Teen Titans Judas Contract in "Flashpoint" fashion is EXACTLY as the title implies and is adapted so frickin well it's almost too well in one aspect...
Death of Superman is another 10/10 for me.... without going into spoilers all I can say it's just raw as hell from very beginning also ironically it's the movie where Superman feels THE MOST like Superman (within the new 52) before Apokolips War
Reign of Superman introduces a whole slew of Superman based replacements in a world that's now left wondering what to do WITHOUT Superman
& then you can honestly just skip to Apokolips War as City of Demons is a Constantine origin/self reflection epic, Batman Hush was not so well done in a personal opinion and is a BIG side track that has nothing to do with anything so it just FEELS like a waste of time and WW Bloodlines is decent but it feels adjacent because it's doesn't feel like the WW that's been established in this universe and they oddly change the art style for her only to return to the art style they'd been using the entire time in Justice League Apokolips War
And Apokolips War........ is the Avengers Endgame of the DCAMU that wraps a ribbon on the wild but UNMATCHED Cinema that is this series 😌🔥

I love this movie and still have the steelbook edition for it. This is the launch of the DC new 52 animated verse or they say Jason O' Mara verse as he was the connective tissue voicing Batman throughout its run leading up to Apokolips War.
I'm telling you guys. GOTTA watch the whole series. Probably some of the best DC movies ever created and better than a lot of the marvel movies
Apart from nerfing the best characters in DC, I feel real bad for Green lanterns character, he got potential and has one of the strongest powers in the universe i.e. "Will" but DCAU writers show him as a cocky, egoistic and stupid guy.

Jack the king Kirby created Darksied for dc comics then went to work for marvel were they asked him to creat a Darksied for them thus Thanos was born, so Darksied is Thanos’s older stronger brother.

The new 52 rebooted the old dc universe that's why superman Hal and Diana was acting differently when dc rebirth happens each hero slowly mature and become the hero we know and love if u continue to watch the serise the characters would go back to the heroes you know

As a huge DC fan, I’m rlly happy that u guys r reacting to DC animated movies. JL new 52 vol 1 ( movie based on this comic) was my first ever comic book that I brought so this movie has a very special place in my heart. The DCAMU is rlly good some hits some don’t but overall a very interesting and rich universe

Sorry I know I've said a lot, but ultimately I'm saying you're right, your take on them and why you might have enjoyed flashpoint differently, which really flashpoint is a better movie, it's meant to be a stand alone movie similar to mask of the phantasm, this connected universe just used the reset Barry does to start a new universe, one thats both connected and aligned with the new 52. There's a ton of movies in this connected universe though, I believe even Batman hush fell into this universe although I could be wrong about that, definitely bad blood, death in the family, son of Batman, and Batman vs Robin did.. actually I'd imagine Hush similar to flashpoint is a stand alone movie, but again, all those other Batman movies are, then you got a few superman movies like death of Superman and reign of Superman, you got a ww movie, a green lantern one, you got two teen titan movies in this connected universe, and two different Constantine movies, one of which is called Justice League Dark, among others.. Constantine really becomes the heart and sole of this universe believe it or not, and is the focal point of this connected universes final movie and "end game" in justice league apocalypse war (thus the Dark added to the title, anything dealing with the mystical side of DC in this universe they attach the word dark to the title). Trust me, if you watch them all you'll find Constantine to be the main character in this connected universe, their Iron man basically..

Please keep doing these reactions of this DC Animated Universe! These movies are very enjoyable and they get better. There’s a Wikipedia page too to show the order to watch them in. Son of Batman is the next movie. This version of Batman is probably my 2nd favorite version of Batman after Kevin Conroy’s Batman.

Superman vs the Elite (the animated adaptation of the comic "What's so funny about truth, justice and the American way") is a perfect rebuttal to all the more agro, Dickish takes on the Man of Steel that are becoming more and more prevalent these days.

After watching the entire New 52 DCAU, I hope you also go watch Young Justice. Or if you have already seen the series, then find the DC Abridged Universe on RUclips, which combines the movies and Young Justice. Just that the series has ended in a hiatus when it touched the middle of S2.

As for how I felt about this movie, I grew up with DCAU/Timmverse so those characterizations are what I'm familiar with. So I had some of the same issues with this movie and some of the following ones, but I was still entertained by them. I'd watch most of them again and will if you guys have reactions to them.

This feels like a third act movie but it’s really the intro and builds to a real third act. But follow through with this universe. These characters are awesome.
