When you guys were talking about a live action Robin, I'd like to see the DCU start with Dick Grayson already as Nightwing (maybe have a flashback in a film showing how he quit so that way we get a peek at him as Robin without having to build to Nightwing over time) and either start with Jason as Robin if they wanna do Death In the Family and build to Red Hood, or Damian if they want to start with an already established Red Hood (and do the flashback thing ala Grayson).
You guys make a lot of Dad jokes and puns, that are not funny mind you. Neither of you guys are Fathers so in the future please tone it down a bit thanks.

I know he gets a lot of hate but I actually love Damian Wayne. He’s like a kid version of Vegeta, a guy who is entitled as hell, let’s everyone he meets know that he’s the biggest badass in the room, BUT can actually back every bit of it up. He doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. But it’s because of his father that he learns to be a kinder and better person. @@lchigoKurosaki This line of movies Coy and John are watching are part of what's called the "DC Animated Movie Universe", it's a shared Universe of animated (obviously) films that started with Flashpoint, that consists of 16 movies. I HATE the name “tomorrowverse”. It’s not an official name either, I just call it the New DC Animated Movie Universe. Calling it tomorrowverse just because Man of Tomorrow was the first movie would be like calling it the Halloweenverse if Long Halloween was the first movie like originally intended, until they pushed it back to be closer to The Batman release. It’s also like when people came up with Arrowverse, just because Arrow was the first show. I just call it the DCCWverse or the Berlantiverse.

I love this version of the DC Animation. They are quality story telling that makes it entertaining and the dialogue has a great balance of satire and sarcasm and humor. The zingers were great to listen to. The action scenes are more gruesome so it makes it more believable as to something that could actually happen. Except for Natalia in her body suit being that exposed. I can't wait for you guys to do Justice League Dark.
I like Jason as batman. His voice fits, at least for my ears. I really liked the line "do what's right because it's right, and that's the only reason you need." That resonated with me fairly strongly.
Sorry I feel like being pedantic, but hopefully you'll find this information interesting. This movie is not part of the DCAU. The DCAU is anything connected to the original "Batman the Animated Series" continuity, including 5-ish TV shows and a handful of movies. Most of the movies they were making around that time though we're not connected to any shared Universe at all. Before streaming services and the MCU, studios couldn't trust that people would remember what happened in a previous movie. They would just take an iconic comic book story line and adapted it to animation as a stand alone film. Starting with, and including, the Flashpoint Animated movie as a reboot of DC's entire approach to making movies, just like the Flashpoint comic was a reboot into the "New 52" line of comics. So there was a new Comics universe and a new animated movie universe around the same time. So since the Animated show's took the good acronym, the new animated movie universe got stuck with the slightly clunky acronym of DCAMU. But then they went back to making animated movies that are aren't a part of any shared universe continuity. Just take an iconic story and animate it. So there are dozens of separate different universes, based off DC that are animated, but only 1 is the DCAU. Animated content used to be the easy way to understand comic books. Now you need to read the Fan Wiki's just for the animated content.
This is a perfect example of what the DCU Batman should be like in contrast to the The Batman universe. Leaning into less realism in a whole where aliens and the Lazarus pit exist.
The O' Mara-verse continues and getting Moff Gideon himself to voice the Demons Head was beautiful. I actually thought it was Phil Morris at first. Also Morena Baccrin voicing the beloved Talia Al Ghul was another perfect casting. Slade Wilson voiced by Thomas Gibson was calculating and precise with his objectives.
I got to say Firefly reunion of sorts as well with Sean Maher voicing Nightwing. Stuart Allen who voiced Damian Wayne nailed the nuances with the voiceover performance. Also Xander Berkeley voicing Langstrom nothing can go wrong.
Damien is just wearing Bruce Wayne’s old childhood clothes. Coy mentioning superboy in the beginning and me knowing he means kon el aka Conner Kent and not Jon Kent makes me happy because it seems like even dc comics sometimes forgets he exists.
I love how casually bats take all this. Talia's like "You know that time I drugged you and took advantage of you? Well, I got pregnant. Here's your kid. Have fun." And bats is like "Interesting".
Personally hated it. It was so out of character to make Talia a rapist as she's supposed to be a gray character. But if they were going this route anyway, then they shouldn't have made Bruce react in this way to his literal rape. Maybe not the first time as he is in shock, but later it could've been called for what it is. It's really hurtful to make Batman be cool with being raped by a woman just becuase he's a man and even more so the BATMAAAN. 🙄
Nightwing is easily one of the best characters in all of comics and it’s just so good to see that he’s popping up more and more and it seems like he’ll actually be in James Gunn’s DCU as well.
Dick Grayson, became Robin when he was 14yo,(in the early comics he was 8yo) He became Nightwing at 18yo to distance himself from Bruce and Jason. If he was Robin for only 4years and not 10years then it must have been an extremely wild few years to live through. Just think the 5th dimentional BatMite turning up from time to time, The Intergang Crime War, the Alien Invasions leading up to the founding of The Justice League. Then as Nightwing he was leading the Titans against Trigon, Slade and others, he also fought in The Darkside War and a few The Legion of Doom battles, a few times he was Batman when Bruce was MIA, After all that he became the leader of The Justice League for (a wile? years?). All we comicbook fans know is that Superman will lead The Justice League again a few Decades later. but wow Dick Grayson what a strange and wild life.

The point of water tower on top of high rises is is to supply pressure to such a tall building. If you have a huge amount of water up at the top, it/gravity pushes down on the water in all of the pipes and makes it come out of your faucet. otherwise you'd never get water pressure that high up.

Yeah guys, Jason O'mara voiced Batman for ALL of the new 52 movies. I think him, Flash and Cyborg are the only ones NOT changed. Superman was changed from Alan Tudyk to Jerry O'Connell; Green Lantern was changed from Justin Kirk to Nathan Fillion and Wonder Woman went from Michelle Monahan to Rosario Dawson
Fun fact: in the comics the League of Assassins has been using man-bats as soldiers for awhile. When this movie came out of was still fairly recent thing
I like this storyline in the anime in general but I just can't get behind how young Damien is doing all this stuff great reaction by the way can't wait to see the next video.
@@gandalfthewhite.5245 Actually, I have a lot of problems with Damian`s portrayal in the New 52 and Rebirth but the aging wasn`t really one of them. For one thing, as I said he was genetically modified and after being resurrected he was 2 years older and a Teen Titan.Inconsistent and sci-fi style aging on the few occasions characters are acknowledged to age at all(Hence John Constanting aging the way an actual human being tends to in "Hellblazer" bein` such a big deal back in the day)has been a thing since their Depression origins!
I actually don't mind the voice actor for Deathstroke in this movie. He's voiced by Thomas Gibson, who also played Hotch in Criminal minds for quite a few years. so so far that's three Criminal minds actors who have had DC roles. The others are Shemar Moore - who is Cyborg and Jimmy Olson was once voiced by Matthew Gray Gubler who plays Spencer Reed
So Talia is voiced by Morena Baccarin and personally I feel like she's a PERFECT Talia. I just remember the way she looked on Firefly and I see Talia there.
I'm so happy that they've finally met damian, he may seem like a brat in this movie but trust me, he has an amazing development, by the end of his arc he's a completely different person so you guys need to keep watching this movies, and also wait until he meets a certain character
I’d love for you guys to check out some of the stuff that came out before the shared continuity like Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, and Justice League: Doom. That have different styles and I personally prefer them over the samey/blander DCAMU.
I know a lot of people hate Damian but he’s honestly the best robin imo. Yes he’s a little shit but he makes up for it with skill and especially at his age love this movie
I think water towers are designed to work with the internal pipes to give the building enough water pressure to get the water to reach the higher levels of the building
Water towers work for water pressure for either individual towns or buildings. Water is pumped up to the tower then gravity provides the pressure for each housing unit. It's ultimately more efficient than providing a pressure pump to each unit, and also, you'll have pressure during blackouts. 👍
Outside of Deadpool and Talia in this movie, Morena Baccarin is also Dr. Leslie Thompkins in GOTHAM alongside Ben McKensie’s Gordon (and her real life husband)
I'm excited for you guys, make sure to watch those in order 👍🏾 it's honestly the best DC universe. Making me want to re-watch this weekend for the ... time lol 😆
53:49 Don’t worry, there are NOT 49 films in the DC Animated Movie Universe, there are 16. Including: Flashpoint Paradox. JL: War, Son of Batman, JL: Throne of Atlantis (plus a short: “Nightwing & Robin”), Batman v. Robin, Batman: Bad Blood, JL v. Teen Titans, JL Dark, Teen Titans: Judas Contract, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, Death of Superman, Constantine: City of Demons, Reign of the Supermen, Batman: Hush, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, and JLD: Apokalips War. The ONLY reason anything else is tied in is because of Flashpoint’s multiverse logic. These are the movies in THIS series, anything afterwards is a new continuity with different animation styles (the “Tomorrowverse” series is basically the movie equivalent of DC Rebirth).
Meet Damien Wayne Damian Wayne is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. He is the biological son of Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Talia al Ghul, the daughter of the villain Ra's al Ghul. Damian is the grandson of Ra's al Ghul and has been trained by the League of Assassins from a young age, making him a highly skilled martial artist and assassin. Introduced in 2006, Damian Wayne is known for his complex personality, marked by arrogance, intelligence, and a strong desire to prove himself to his father. Over time, he has become an integral part of the Batman family, often serving as the fifth Robin. Damian's character has undergone significant development as he navigates his dual heritage and conflicting loyalties between the League of Assassins and the Bat-family. His dynamic with Batman, particularly his father, is a central aspect of his character arc.
Yeah, I didn't understand that either. Jason Todd had been dead longer that the few minutes that Raj was and the pit brought HIM back. Was it the damage to Raj's body that was a factor?? It's just not really properly explained. I mean reviving the dead IS pretty much what the pit does. Or is Talia concerned that the time needed to revive her father would make him insane beyond control??
Come on guys!! We do enjoy the reactions here for all these movies!! Honestly what marvel was successful in real life, dc was successful in animated movies. As I was also watching these movies, I was confused on the plot and timeline from crisis on two earths, flashpoint, Justice league war and on. I really suggest reacting to long Halloween part one and two and also Batman and Harley Quinn which has our fav Batman voice actor Kevin Conroe.
Water pumps work by raising the water up high so that gravity can produce pressure to your tap they also are helpful if the power ever goes out the water will run as long as there's still water in the storage the alternative is to have a pressurized system which is more likely to have leaks
I remember a lot of people online back in the day really dogged on these movies because of it being tied to the New 52 continuity which was already divisive. One RUclipsr Kwing really ripped these movies to shreds because he is such a big Nightwing fan and didn't like how was used in most DC media at that time and Super Frame a couple years ago did a retrospective on these and criticised Jason O'Mara as Batman because it was too monotone. He did get better as the movies went on tho.

I’m pretty sure others have said it but these would great blueprints for James Gunn s reboot .
The connectivity will get much more clear as you go. Keep sharing and I’ll keep watching!
I love when you guys do these DC animation reactions
Fun fact: in the comics the League of Assassins has been using man-bats as soldiers for awhile. When this movie came out of was still fairly recent thing
As a DC fan the fact that you guys are watching these movies warms my soul
I am living for these Coyjon DCAU watches. It is the youtube content I most look forward to.
Damien Wayne is the worst. Loving all these DCAU reactions!!!
He grew on me. Loved him in the newest movie with Jon Kent
@@OnlyInRushville Comics or movies, he makes my blood boil.
Damn really enjoy this DCAU reaction series. Would love more of it.
Awesome movie and love watching you guys as always!! Keep up the great work guys!!!
LETS GOOOOOO SO EXCITED FOR MORE OF THESE
41:50 Robin Right, upside-down Robin Wright for Robin Wrong is
GOAT editing 👌
Great reaction as usual fellas
My fav reaction team and movies. Been watching these movies for a while...such a hidden treasure of animated movies.
What I like about Damien is that while yes, he's super arrogant, he's also super smart
This is not DC Animated Universe. This is DC Animated Movie Universe. They are not the same each other
I like this storyline in the anime in general but I just can't get behind how young Damien is doing all this stuff great reaction by the way can't wait to see the next video.
In some versions of The Comics, he`s genetically-enhanced.
He should have probably been aged up a few years. I don’t have a problem with it.
Sit Ubu, sit! Good man-servant.
Love all the content but this pair on nerdy stuff is the best. Keep it up John and Coy!🎉
Damien is such a badass character.
Deathstroke always tryna kill some kids😭
I love these videos! I was so surprised how much I liked the teen titans movies in the DCAU. I hope that’s what you guys watch next!
Yayayayya! Another coy and john reaction! and Another DCAU reaction! Loved it! WOOHOOO!
I’d love for you guys to check out some of the stuff that came out before the shared continuity like Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, and Justice League: Doom. That have different styles and I personally prefer them over the samey/blander DCAMU.
Love Nightwing in this, it's not his story but it's so important to have that point of reference for Batman's true success at teaching a Robin.
Keep these DC Animated Movies coming 🍿!
I'm excited for you guys, make sure to watch those in order 👍🏾 it's honestly the best DC universe. Making me want to re-watch this weekend for the ... time lol 😆
"Ooh, the Phoenix Force!"
Me: I would've gone with "going super saiyan.
Yes!! Been waiting for the next one
You need to watch all of them. The DCAU was awesome.
I know Deathstroke's voice actor from Dharma and Greg and it made watching him wierd
Everyone is talking about Damian,
But are we going to just ignore the fact talia shot an arrow, a regular @ss arrow straight through a helicopter.
Meet Damien Wayne
Damian Wayne is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics.
They brought swords to a helicopter fight
they brought helicopters to a sword fight. the sword people were at home
Morena Baccarin is also in the Batman prequel show Gotham
Keep doing these. I love your ideas about where this is going. I need more. ❤
The relationship between Dick and Damian is fantastic
37:22 I'd be like "um... You guys might want to hurry to Damian right now."
Come on dude its just a lovely kissi vissi 😂😂😂
