Honestly my favourite Suicide Squad movie! I love how Batman and Joker have got their own cool conflict going on and the Squad just keeps on accidentally running into that totally separate storyline - it makes it all feel so much more impressive and epic! Throwing them into such well-known places as Gotham and Arkham also helps too. Imagine if this had actually been the first live-action movie (which had both Batman and Joker), it would've blown minds.
56:21 In fairness, this is based on the Arkhamverse so the filmmakers don't have control of some things, such as the the plant G-string on Poison Ivy, that's her design from the game.
22:45 - Is anybody going to point out how this is a pretty good Batman Returns reference? I believe it's the first scene where you actually see Batman - he gets out of his car and rescues Selina Kyle by doing this exact move to the Red Triangle moron, who immediately goes, "Ha! You missed!".
Damn I never realized this was from the Arkham verse and I didn't believe it until I saw Penguin on the iceberg lounge lol That warehouse fight is how I always wanted Batman live action to fight, it's closer to Ben Affleck but it always felt like he was slower and more on brute strength. This Batman really looked like in perfect shape and the perfect balance of strength, speed, technique, battle instinct and flexibility. The true meaning of peak human physical condition. Also, a live action Poison Ivy Batman movie where everyone in Gotham is slowly getting charmed including his allies w/o any indicators and they all turn against Batman as he tries to figure out what's happening would be dope.
I Love this movie, all the Arkham game references and designs for the characters, the action is great, the voice cast is Spectacular, the comedy hits it's mark when it does, and the chemistry between the squad members is always fun to watch, and this is my favorite Killer Frost Design 😍 and yeah they did my boy King Shark Dirty 😭

It's very interesting watching this movie again after the announcement and trailers for the new game, 'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League', which takes place in the Arkhamverse, and changes so many things to the point where this movie has been basically ignored and retconned. The two biggest examples of this are King Shark and Deadshot. In the new game, King Shark is still Nanaue, looks very different because he's actually a shark, and he's very much alive. And, as for Deadshot, he also looks quite different, and the devs explained this by saying the older Deadshot was an imposter the whole time, even though he definitely appeared in two of the games and was very good for an imposter.
