They also both harbor a deep respect for each other, and both think that the other is a better man. I read a dialogue once, between Superman/Lois and Batman/Catwoman, where they were both talking about how being a hero is a responsibility for them, but a conscious choice for the other. Batman says that Superman could bring the world to its knees but he chooses to be a hero; Supes says that his powers make being a hero his responsibility, but Batman's just a man who chooses to fight for what he believes. There was another panel I read where Bruce meets the Kent family, and Pa Kent immediately figures out that Bruce is Batman because Clark didn't have many people he'd trust with his family; that they never heard that Clark was friends with Bruce Wayne, but they'd heard all about Batman. I distinctly remember the line "Clark may be able to leap tall buildings, but he thinks you can walk on water, son. I shouldn't be telling you this, it's worse than showing you his baby pictures - but I'm pretty sure you're his hero."

He's heralded as the best Lex Luthor outside of Michael Rosenbaum who also played Lex for around a decade in Smallville.
Tim Daly was the voice of Superman in Superman: The Animated Series as well as a few other animated films like Superman/Batman: Apocalypse and Justice League: Doom. George Newbern was the voice of Superman in the Justice League Animated Series and Justice League Unlimited and voiced him in Superman vs. The Elite, Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, both of the Injustice games, and DC Universe Online. Their voices are very similar and can easily be mistaken for one another until you see the credits.

15:36 Who is that? Oh that's Mongul, alien ruler of Warworld, and one of Superman's deadliest adversaries. Warworld is a place where you fight in an arena while he spectates. Superman dethroned him and he's had it out for him since. It is a little unusual for Mongul to be on Earth. At one point in the comics, Mongul was temporarily reformed and went to train Superman in how to fight at a point when it seemed like Superman's powers were on the rise and seemed limitless. It was an interesting time.

Historically, Superman and Batman have always been best friends. It only after the release of the Dark Knight Returns in the 80s when people started pitting them against each other and that book lead to them being estranged in the Post Crisis continuity of DC comics. They eventually became best friends again in the 90s, after the death of Superman and the breaking of Batman by Bane. By 2000, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman were all best friends and running the Justice League again (they weren't part of the Justice League after Crisis) Zack Snyder made Batman and Superman enemies in his movies because he doesn't understand or respect these characters or the purpose of their fight in the Dark Knight Returns. He said during the production of Watchmen that he hates Superman and would kill him if given an opportunity and he did just that in his second Superman movie. Snyder has done more damage to these characters than anyone ever has in their 80+ year history.
I can’t wait for James Gunn to restore faith and respect in his new DCU because it’s sorely needed especially for people like Jaby who are unfortunately only familiar with the DCEU which is by far the worst adaptation of DC in general.
I'll never get over how Metallo could've/ should've been the final villain of BvS instead of shoehorning Doomsday. Not only was the formula for him to arrive in the movie, but we could've gotten a live action version of Superman and Batman vs. Metallo. Would've made so much sense and would be so much better than what we got in BvS.

So here's the deal with Power Girl and her boobs. She originally had regular massive comic book boobs but then her creators decided to keep making them bigger until editorial stepped in and it went on way too long so she became known as the comics character is gigantic boobs. She's also a version of Supergirl from a different dimension so she has a familial relationship with Clark. Sometimes, Power Girl is just Supergirl's alias when she decides to get out from under Clark's shadow, like in this movie.
Everyone was worried that the kryptonite meteor was affecting Superman's mind when it turned out Lex was becoming more irrational by willingly injecting himself with kryptonite.
Unlike the others, Major Force is no hero. He's actually Captain Atom's arch enemy. The guy with electricity powers is Black Lightning. Also, Static Shock is the name of the cartoon; the character is just Static. Clancy Brown also voiced Lex in the Superman animated series and Justice League animated series in the DCAU. He's in Starship Troopers, Shawshank Redemption, Carnivale, voices Surtur in the MCU, is in Star Wars (The Mandalorian, Rebels and Asoka) and much more.

This is based on the 2000's run of Superman/Batman, a must read if possible. This is technically based in the animated series verse so I think the Lois line is because Bruce was with her first.

Black lightning predates Static by almost 20 years. He did perpetuate the issue that for years almost all black comic book characters had electric related powers. Powergirl (last I checked) is a clone of Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin. Also not a huge fan of how Amanda Waller was portrayed in this.
I know others have commented, but Power Girl is an Alternate Reality version of Supergirl, but instead of coming to earth around the same age she left kyrpton (usually teenage or early 20s), She instead aged up a bit during her space ride to earth, making her more adult. So you usually don't see Power Girl alongside Supergirl. and since Supergirl is Superman's Cousin, so is Power Girl, so no Superman x Power Girl. Funny thing! this is also where I first learned about Power Girl lmao.
And no thanks to the movies and retcons that play him down, but many people don't realize that Batman is supposed to be a super genius. Depending on the author, even Lex Luthor has stated that Batman is the only one on Earth with an intellect that exceeds his own.

I'm sure its been said but FYI Power-Girl is Superman's cousin from Earth-2 she got stuck on Earth Prime after the Crisis on infinite Earths storyline. She is an older version on Supergirl. Having said that. I am glad you guys are venturing into the DC animated movies. You're in for a real treat. Some of these films are absolute bangers. This is definitely one of my favorites. Also, please make sure to check out Superman Batman : Apocalypse.
Check out DC Showcase their twenty-minute shorts. Jonah Hex, The Spectre both are very Clint Eastwood like in looks and tone of the main characters. As well as the soundtrack for Jonah Hex. Spectre is very Christine and other classic 80's horror movies. Superman/Shazam and Superman/Doomsday! Green Lantern First Flight the way the GL movie should of looked and sounded. Excellent soundtrack, animation and story, JL New Frontier too set in 1960.

When he uses his powers in a big way, he time travels to a random point in time! One time in the comics, he accidentally sent himself back to the "Age of Dinosaurs" and there was a dinosaur stampede in progress! He sniffed his right arm pit and wondered allowed if he offended them with B.O. as he apologized to them! But it was a big predator that had them on the run! The Tyrannosaures Rex was able to sneak up on him from behind and swallow him, if I recall right. He was so embarrassed that something so big was able to catch him off guard! He was able to set himself free, I think, by being vomited out rather than the other way, like with Will Farrell in his "Land of the Lost"! 🦖 At some point, he uses his powers again, and the blast radius was the ELE for Dinosaurs rather than an asteroid impact! 😮
Power Girl once had an artist draw her with large breasts, and since then it's become a bit of a running joke that she has one of the largest chest sizes in comics....Short history. The Superman that was created in a 1938 this was later retconned to be "Earth 2 Superman"..."Earth One" Superman was the more modern version debuting in the late 50's or so and was later given a cousin Kara who became "Supergirl"...But if Earth One SUperman had a cousin, surely Earth Two superman did as well, so in 1976 he got a cousin also named Kara who became "Power Girl" instead of "Earth Two Supergirl"
This was definitely a good movie for you both to watch. This really shows the bromance between Batman and Superman! The next movie Batman/Superman apocalypse also shows it too. Their friendship with Wonder Woman is also a treat to see.
Well DCAMU has always dominated the animated universe with good story writing. DCEU rely on the ugly muted colour concept and darker storyline leftover from the Batman movies and what’s gonna “look cool”.

He said during the production of Watchmen that he hates Superman and would kill him if given an opportunity and he did just that in his second Superman movie. Snyder has done more damage to these characters than anyone ever has in their 80+ year history.

I can’t wait for James Gunn to restore faith and respect in his new DCU because it’s sorely needed especially for people like Jaby who are unfortunately only familiar with the DCEU which is by far the worst adaptation of DC in general.

I'll never get over how Metallo could've/ should've been the final villain of BvS instead of shoehorning Doomsday. Not only was the formula for him to arrive in the movie, but we could've gotten a live action version of Superman and Batman vs. Metallo. Would've made so much sense and would be so much better than what we got in BvS.

Power girl is an adult version of Supergirl from another Dimension she is his cousin.
So here's the deal with Power Girl and her boobs. She originally had regular massive comic book boobs but then her creators decided to keep making them bigger until editorial stepped in and it went on way too long so she became known as the comics character is gigantic boobs.
She's also a version of Supergirl from a different dimension so she has a familial relationship with Clark. Sometimes, Power Girl is just Supergirl's alias when she decides to get out from under Clark's shadow, like in this movie.

Clancy Brown also voiced Lex in the Superman animated series and Justice League animated series in the DCAU. He's in Starship Troopers, Shawshank Redemption, Carnivale, voices Surtur in the MCU, is in Star Wars (The Mandalorian, Rebels and Asoka) and much more.

Black lightning predates Static by almost 20 years. He did perpetuate the issue that for years almost all black comic book characters had electric related powers.
Powergirl (last I checked) is a clone of Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin. Also not a huge fan of how Amanda Waller was portrayed in this.

I know others have commented, but Power Girl is an Alternate Reality version of Supergirl, but instead of coming to earth around the same age she left kyrpton (usually teenage or early 20s), She instead aged up a bit during her space ride to earth, making her more adult. So you usually don't see Power Girl alongside Supergirl.
and since Supergirl is Superman's Cousin, so is Power Girl, so no Superman x Power Girl.

It is strange how people forgot the Batman is a ninja with detective skills.
And no thanks to the movies and retcons that play him down, but many people don't realize that Batman is supposed to be a super genius. Depending on the author, even Lex Luthor has stated that Batman is the only one on Earth with an intellect that exceeds his own.

Power girl is Superman's cousin from another dimension by the way so I don't think we want power girl and Superman hitting it off. As for her boob window there's actually a whole like history behind that s*** of being constantly changed and all that stuff covered up and then open back up and now it's just supposed to be a symbol of her strength as a woman more or less. She's just like, "Oh well I'm leaving it open till I find a symbol to put there" honestly this power girl is more like Supergirl rather than being headstrong and cocky like the normal power girl.

I'm sure its been said but FYI Power-Girl is Superman's cousin from Earth-2 she got stuck on Earth Prime after the Crisis on infinite Earths storyline. She is an older version on Supergirl. Having said that. I am glad you guys are venturing into the DC animated movies. You're in for a real treat. Some of these films are absolute bangers. This is definitely one of my favorites. Also, please make sure to check out Superman Batman : Apocalypse.
Check out DC Showcase their twenty-minute shorts. Jonah Hex, The Spectre both are very Clint Eastwood like in looks and tone of the main characters. As well as the soundtrack for Jonah Hex. Spectre is very Christine and other classic 80's horror movies. Superman/Shazam and Superman/Doomsday! Green Lantern First Flight the way the GL movie should of looked and sounded. Excellent soundtrack, animation and story, JL New Frontier too set in 1960.

When he uses his powers in a big way, he time travels to a random point in time! One time in the comics, he accidentally sent himself back to the "Age of Dinosaurs" and there was a dinosaur stampede in progress! He sniffed his right arm pit and wondered allowed if he offended them with B.O. as he apologized to them! But it was a big predator that had them on the run!
The Tyrannosaures Rex was able to sneak up on him from behind and swallow him, if I recall right. He was so embarrassed that something so big was able to catch him off guard! He was able to set himself free, I think, by being vomited out rather than the other way, like with Will Farrell in his "Land of the Lost"! 🦖
At some point, he uses his powers again, and the blast radius was the ELE for Dinosaurs rather than an asteroid impact! 😮
Power Girl once had an artist draw her with large breasts, and since then it's become a bit of a running joke that she has one of the largest chest sizes in comics....Short history. The Superman that was created in a 1938 this was later retconned to be "Earth 2 Superman"..."Earth One" Superman was the more modern version debuting in the late 50's or so and was later given a cousin Kara who became "Supergirl"...But if Earth One SUperman had a cousin, surely Earth Two superman did as well, so in 1976 he got a cousin also named Kara who became "Power Girl" instead of "Earth Two Supergirl"
This was definitely a good movie for you both to watch. This really shows the bromance between Batman and Superman! The next movie Batman/Superman apocalypse also shows it too. Their friendship with Wonder Woman is also a treat to see.

Well DCAMU has always dominated the animated universe with good story writing. DCEU rely on the ugly muted colour concept and darker storyline leftover from the Batman movies and what’s gonna “look cool”.

The concept of Superman is about his morality and even thought he could destroy virtually anything he shows restraint and choses not to try and become a god or seek worship from humanity ... instead he lets humanity take their course while fighting evil and keeping his morality and ethics
Next animated movie is Batman/Superman Apocalypse. It's a direct sequel to this one. Also, Power Girl having huge boobs is pretty much written into comic book lore and history as a defining part of her character.
