In this Elden Ring guide, ill be revealing the exact locations of all 5 Whetblades, the Iron Whetblade, Glintstone Whetblade, Red-Hot Whetblade, Sanctified Whetblade, and Black Whetblade.
Each Whetblade unlocks specific Affinities allowing you to fully customise your standard weapons to perfectly suit any build or playstyle, as well as adding various elemental buffs and status effects. Ill be explaining all of this, indepth in this video.
A Key Item known as the Whetstone Knife is required to unlock this entire customisation mechanic, which is also revealed in the video as its easily missed.

hey great video. so, if i were primarily an INT build, Magic would be the way to go. if I am melee, like my Quality build right, now, the way to go would be Cold? sound right? so i would have a small Magic damage bonus, but it wouldn't slay with magic. and Cold infusion lowers the base damage more than Magic would?
Just a small critique. In your section on the path taken to acquire the Glintstone Whetblade, the compass was cutoff. It might seem small, but a lot of us follow routes by the compass NSEW. So 'go north, run up stairs, turn west," etc... Otherwise it's a great video, thanks

How did i get the redhot whetblade without beating the optional boss or doing the dialogs
Re2 people say don't push pause but you have to push pause to skip the cutscenes
What I find a bit confusing is that when I change a certain affinity to do maximum damage (according to the list and calculations provided by the game and choosing the higher output), I'm sometimes still left with a lower number when I check "Stats" than if I've selected the lower damage option. Even when checking for S-E scaling. What am I missing? (In this case the AOW "Thunderbolt" is that matters at all).

I'm gonna tell you this cause I stupid. On RE2 B run there is an ink ribbons on the park bench in the courtyard around the grave site do that help you any. Someone gave the impression that you're missing one

A topic that would be helpful for brand new players and you open with a major spoiler, that I will say again had nothing to do with the topic. Maliketh is the point that stops you from getting the sanctified whetblade.
