A 2% drop rate does not mean that 2 out of 100 players have found it. A 2% drop rate means that out of every 100 kills, your likely *odds* are seeing the weapon twice.

Event then. Statistics aren't set in stone. It's possible more or less could land that amount
it does, but saying that every 2 out of 100 players will find this is incorrect as not every of those 100 players have killed the enemy which drops it
id imagine more then 2 out of 100 players own blue silver armour set at this stage, also plently guides on showing people how to get said armours makes it even more common. Only way to keep armour set super rare is not to talk about it i think and again you cant tell if its super rare then.

@@derpydragon7683 I recommend also using the Baldachin's Blessing at a time where a massive defense boost would be useful. Yes, the hug does reduce your max health, but the Baldchin's Blessing item is honestly so strong when used properly that it's pretty worth it in my opinion.
2% drop rate doesn't mean 2 out of 100 players find it. It means that if you killed that thing 100 times, you might get it in 2 out of that 100 kills. Which resets every time you kill one.
An easier way to farm the blackflame monk set is at the bottom of the Divine Tower of Caelid right outside the Godskin Apostle bossroom.
Yea I got 5 of his sets while trying to farm for the sword but I spent like a whole hour and slowly realized that he probably doesn’t drop the sword, I got the sword but from the regular fire Monk

@@yuo8432 It's in the Giant's grave in the mountaintop of the giants. Run to where the first monk is with the mace and run right, jump through the window and run through the tunnel until you see a fire-spraying tower. He's hiding in the little hiding space on the right that you're supposed to stay in to avoid the fire tower.

A lot of misconceptions regarding drop rates in this video. A 2% drop rate does NOT mean what he says. It means that if you kill an enemy 100 times you are likely to see the weapon drop twice.

One of my favourite looking sets is combining the altered cleanrot set with Roderika's crimson hood or the banished knight helmet (altered, red hood) and banished knight armor (altered, cape/tunic) with veteran's gauntlets/legs.
Veteran's greaves = 🤮
OMG i do the same ! Especially the cleanrot chest and banished hood (for gauntlets and legs... i depends). I'm so happy i'm not alone xD
I use the banished knight helmet altered with the veterans armour, gauntlets and legs
@@joeybaker4244 yeah that sounds cool, but I like having layers of flowing fabric when I'm moving around. I hope an update adds much deeper options for Boc's alterations, with colours and styles. Also a transmog system so I can still use things which are needed for certain builds, like mushroom crown or white mask, but I can make them look like anything I want.

The Banished Knight set with the cape is actually the (unaltered) version. The altered version is without the cape

The beast repellant torch also works on rats. Makes the sewers way easier.

You can easily farm the Black Flame Monk set on the Great Rune tower of Radahn in Caelid.
It is located in the basement of the tower xDD

another good place to farm for the blackflame monks set is the blackflame monk at the bottom of the kaelid divine tower dungeon, before the godskin apostle boss
Huge fan of the Blue Silver set but I think it’s easier going NNE from the Consecrated Snowfield site of grace to that first area. And that cowl looks great on a bunch of other armors; like ones that show the face, too few of those in the game.
or just kill the Albinauric from the quest to the haligtree
The Blue Silver set can be easily obtained by killing an NPC. The one that is by her dying wolf. Kill her and you get the entire set.
if you need to verify this man's competency, all it takes is a look at his vigor level....
That rat in the sewer nearly ended his career
ng+ requires this kind of vigor. since ng+3 i always went 90 vigor, and still sometimes get 1 shot by fucking minibosses (demihuman queen maggies shotgun move, burial watchdogs magic ground slam)
though i dont think he's ng+, looking at how many runes the enemies drop
@@diliscollective9743 even if he was 70 is redundant, I have multiple ng7 who have max stats in their build but only have about 45 vigor, maybe there’s a massive difference in talismans that just destroy your negation or something but I don’t even have the tangiest set but bosses still do ng damage to me
Nah, not even that. It's the RoB without even using the surgeon's mask...
Edit: RoB is at least excusable if you know how to build around it, and don't use it for PvP

For the Cleanrot set, if you go to The Prayer room in the Haligtree area and head back the way you came in, there's a Cleanrot Valkyrie right next to the door. Just be careful because there is an NPC that can spawn in The Prayer room depending on what part of their quest you are at
The whole run after that cleanrot knight is also an excellent farming run, I've been getting 100k with my sword of night and flame
There are actually at least five, maybe six cleanrot knights over there, it's also a really good place to get their spear's.
Griff, when it comes to the cleanrot armor, would you say that Wardead may be a quicker farm for it since it has the possibility of close to 10 cleanrot knights spawning?
cleanrot chest, radon arms and legs, and banished knight helm is my go to armor set, and it looks fantastic lol

High Arcane boosts item discovery (meaning drop rates), equipping the Silver Scarab talisman and using the Silver Picked Fowl Foot consummable further boost these odds.

not sure if u know, but check out nights cavalry armour then ^^ without the helmet and with the greatsword, all your points in str and lions claw, makes the strongest buid ive tested so far in my 7 playthroughs

How do you have just the two glowing eyes and no head there? Is it from the frenzied flame ending or a mod/glitch?
I like the area around commander O'Neil, I know the rot area sucks for some, but the set was super easy to get here once u know where all the soldiers rise from.
Mate, I made it with the whole armour of the black flame set in less than 20 tries in 15 mn with the "pate de volaille en saumure argentée" as I play in French but finally managed to find the English version of it : Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot, that you can make with ingredients.
The drop rate is just sky rocketing drastrically if this can help.
Let's give this a try.

yeah it increases drop rate by +50%, with silver scarab, you have x2.25 drop rate not counting arcane. I always use it if I'm trying to get something specific.
I wish Inhad your luck, I had roughly 5 head, 7 chest, and 3 pants, before I got one part of gloves
You missed Guardian Garb (Full Bloom) armor. It’s probably the rarest in the game, since progressing too far in the game locks you out of farming for it.
Is the droprate that low tho? Cause i got it dropped from just the few guardians i murdered in passing wothout having to farm for it
@@naiiin6949I think it’s rare in the sense that if you get to farm in the game you lose it, kind of like how the Bolt of Grannsax Is “rare” because if you kill maliketh you lose the chance to get it
Clean rot probably one of the best early/mid game armors, high stats but also kinda heavy
i needed the blue silver male armor for a build at one point and it was miserable to grind for
You can also farm the black flame monk set from the one at the bottom of the divine tower in calid
The clean riot knight body, legs and gauntlets go good with the twinned helmet

You can also get the blue chainmail set very early in the game by killing Latenna in the end of the Lakeside Crystal Cave in Liurnia.

The 2% pertains to the rate at which its going to be found once killing the enemy.. meaning theres a 98% chance that it wont drop at 1st.. but you obviously improve your chances if you raise your arcane level & use the Silver Tear Helmet & Silver Scarab Talisman & Silver Fowl Foot... 👍
@@shanewysoczynski5236 Exactly, but the YT'er is implying that a 2% drop rate is out of 100 players, when it should be 2% drop rate out of 100 farming attempts.
I know some items take time like hours farming you get it when you get it

mohg the omen is actually the easier boss compared to mohg in moghwin palace. The mohg here in the sewers is technically supposed to come before mohg in the palace since mohgn cant usually be reached until you get into the consecrated snow field.
cleanrot also looks very nice with radahn's helm, red feathers for days
if latenna is killed at the slumbering wolf shack she drops the full set im pretty sure
I've got another question Inkay lead in front of a gravestone just outside the entrance to the cave where you receive the Crystal Sword there's a somewhat unique in PC who attacks you with a giant magic hammer if you farm him will you get his spell or whatever he's using to create that hammer?
I've yet to see a single armor set that looks better without the cape.
I've had my silver Scarab on since the beginning of this video which I have been playing along with step-for-step. I don't know if I'm just having really incredible luck or if this is just typical of having that equipped but I'm getting the sets in no time . I did have a great deal of trouble with the merchant set it was extremely confusing but if you follow that Quest all the way through you received the flame frenzy blessing from the fingers which is super awesome & it makes your eyes glow like a boss. I have a question however for anybody who's bothered to actually read this far are all of the weapons that these in PCS carry also attainable through farming them I know that some of them are but I'm wondering if that's a guarantee across-the-board?
The rarest armor set in the game is the Unaltered Banished Knight Set. The chest piece only drops from one enemy in the entire game. Not enemy type. Literally only one single enemy and it’s like a 1 percent drop rate, and this enemy is crazy strong and super late game.
The banished knight helm and chest(non-altered) are the rarest armor drops from what I've seen.
The mausoleum set drops by the wandering mausoleums easier than farming the lone teleporting one

Mogh the omen is supposed be the first encounter with mogh. Because the standard entrance to moghs palace is in the consecrated snowfields

I was farming rare armors last night. Got the full bloom chest on my first try and 2 mausoleum chest (one regular and got one altered) in less than 6 minutes (2 silver feet). Guess the game threw me a bone for all the weapon farming i did (2 noble swords and rapiers, 2 lava swords, 2 grave scythes etc).
I used the ruins GS AoW on the mausoleum knight for 1 hit kill. Run a few steps past the door, hit L2 and he's dead. See if there's a drop and keep it moving.
9:00 i think it wouldve been cool if the set came with a headpiece that makes your head disappear which would make you look like them, missed opportunity here
Black knife armor set with the flame monk gloves goes perfect. For any fans of the black knife set and feel the color scheme is off a bit for the black knife gloves compared to the legs.
I like to throw Vykes armor and Black Knife armor pieces around with each other, I think it just looks cool
My favorite look is the black flame monk set with D's helmet while using the Godslayer sword

With the mausoleum knight set I like the Zamor helm.
I've never fought and beat mohg in his palace before the sewers. And it should be that way considering the fight and palace is harder than sewers.

If you have enough larval tears too spare. Increase your Arcane stat as high as you can.
It's what I did too help get these items too drop. That plus the scarab and pickled feat should help Alot
Rarest armour in the game is without a doubt the guardian garb full bloom. It's a low drop rate farmed in the royal capital from the guardians before godfrey shade.
Especially rare also because if you beat Maliketh, the ashen capital does not have this guardian garb full bloom available
I don’t know I’ve dropped 10 of them but never could drop the long tongued imp head I’ve spent 10+ hours and couldn’t drop it so I gave up
i got it first try and a guy i summoned for a boss fight once dropped it to me

Best place to farm Black Flame Monk is in Volcano Manor. It spawns right outside of the grace.

I wanted the Mausoleum knight set for my ng+ playthrough. I had enough levels to respec to have 99 arcane for maxed out from-stats-item-discovery while also wearing the silver scarab talisman.....took 4 hours *JUST TO GET THE GLOVES*

The mushroom set is found in a cave aswell so you dont have to farm those mushroom guys
Pretty sure the dozen or so knights by the site of grace also drop this set. farmed runes here for a bit before fighting radahn
You can aslo go into the evergoal and fame the 3 woman in there too

Redmane Knight Armor is really nice and the shield is awesome looking. 2 points guys, the ones who said a 2% drop rate are your chances of getting the armor each kill are correct. That % gets better when you are wearing the silver tear mask and equipping the silver scarob and you are 90 arcane. The drop pretty much becomes 75 to 85 %. I got everything in 6 kills. The other point is that there is a quicker way to get there. Don't die, start again at the site of grace, turn to the cliff and walk around the back of the guard tower, mount Torrent and ride the edge of the cliff, about 10 seconds, be quick, there are two archers on the tower. One more point that Griff is a little wrong about, The armor set is 5 pieces if you think a shield is armor.

you can get the entire Blue Silver set by killing Latenna at the Slumbering Wolf Shack. 100% drop rate. just do it before grabbing both haligtree medallion halves

I don't think it's 2% of all players (or else you probably wouldn't be rocking a set) but a flat 2% chance to drop.
You can farm the black flame monk way easier on the one that is guarding the door to the godskin apostle in the bottom of the caelid rune tower
