I love how fuzzie got angry when they insulted kermit's wife, true friendship.
totally not because he's PORKING her on the side
That bear wants some of that bacon too
@Jack Wrath do you really want ghost subscribers?
@Jack Wrath you could have the entire population sub to you but it wouldn't matter a damn thing because you put zero effort into actually growing your channel. nobody would watch, nobody would care.
Fozzy is a bro
Even when they're dead they can heckle the show. That's some serious dedication!
And continuity, just watch Muppets Christmas Carol

Did you say DEADication?!?!?!?
me: laughs at own joke🤣
You can say it was to die for wakka wakka
Yeah they’re real *die hard* hecklers! So *dead-icated* they’ll heckle to the end! [distant “waka waka!” from Fozzie]
Statler: “And here I thought the crowd was supposed to maul the comedian, not the other way around!”
Waldorf: “Wait, are trying to say that bear was a comedian?”
Both: “Oh Ho Ho Ho!”
That's clever
Good grief! The comedian's a bear!
Ok that’s pretty good

Fozzie fears the wrath of God
He's a Religious Man
Fozzie is a good boy. He only flipped out when Kermit admitted that something they said cut him deeply. He killed on behalf of his friend and immediately felt guilt.
He's a bear. If there is a God they literally made him that way. I think he's fine.
@@ten-thousandbees8453 He is sapient. All other bears are sentient. God gave him a soul with which to be judged by him.

I love that when the old guys are presented with Gonzo's argument, they immediately resort to being angry and name calling.
For those who missed the last few days, let me fill you in on the last few days. this video was originally uploaded as "The Final Muppet Show" but it got age restricted for "Profanity in the first 8 to 15 seconds" which in case you've watched the video, that didn't happen. after a while it got un-age restricted... for a day, then it got age restricted again for "portraying graphic imagery". you know that bit at the end? where you can see the bone on Statler and Waldorf? (if you don't watch the muppets then that's the two guys that sit on the balcony) that was apparently not appropriate for children. RUclips then rejected the request to remove the age restriction, and they denied. Later it was taken away and currently it is not age restricted. RUclips really been different since Susan Wojcicki took over, huh?

*"WAS THAT THE BITE OF '81?!"* -Fun Fact: The original syndication of The Muppet Show ended in 1981. Fredbear's Family Diner opened around a year later. These two events are most likely unrelated.-
Awesome job, DG! You did some awesome work with Kermit's voice and animation as usual, and Schalt & JJ absolutely NAILED their performances; you could have told me you got the original actors to play Fozzie, Stalter, and Waldorf, and I would be none the wiser.
I knew I’d find this comment
Beat me too it.
There it is
I figured I would find this. I made my own Bite of 87 comment but did a different angle on it. Yours is more muppets oriented and clever… mine is just fearing what The FNAF fandom would do to me if I didn’t make the joke
As soon as Fozzie's pupils shrank at 0:57 I thought, 'S**** is about to get real.'🤣🤣🤣 Also your Gonzo and JJ's Fozzie impressions are brilliant as usual
I can't believe this is only like a minute and a half long. It feels like there was so much packed into it. Fantastic work Mr. Goobus.
They do like the show, that's why they show up to every single one unless sick, unable, or for the sake of a joke. That's why they participate, that's why they heckle, and even go on stage a few times. The opening song incorporates them because they show up so regularly for goodness sake.
There's actually an episode where one of their wives shows up in place of the other, and their wife starts genuinely calling the show trash and garbage and the one that's there feels really bummed and awkward about it. Because they really like the show.
exactly, that's why kermit puts up with them every week. in other contexts we've seen the Muppet show crew use the Eagle and the monsters as bouncers to roust the unruly from the crowd(or backstage) for less, etc.
Kermit would have had them tossed if they were actually the problem they pretend to be.
i don't know what the showbiz term is, but in con-artist/magicians terms, Statler and Waldorf are "Plants", accomplices placed in the crowd to pose as audience members.
con artists and magicians use plants to stage audience interactions for magic acts, or to promote the genuine audience members to get more engaged, showbiz will also use it for comedic value.
Examples of plants:
- travelling quack doctors, commonly called "snake oil salesmen", would have a plant in the crowd that would fake an ailment and act like the tonic being sold cured them. evangelist faith healers sometimes use the same trick, a favorite was always the "walk with a crutch and claim that you're lame in one leg, then toss away the crutch and start dancing", but now you see lots of variants
- Con artists that run "Shell games"/"3 card monty"/"nim"/etc., will often have an accomplice in the crowd who's job is to pick the bystanders pockets while they're distracted by the game, and in case anyone suspects the game is also rigged(it is), they will play a round or two that the conman will purposely lose so that someone can be seen "Winning".
- in showbiz they sometimes use plants to stage a back and forth between the actors and the audience for comedic purposes. a good example is at some point Harrison Ford went on a daytime talk show, and they positioned a guy in a chewbacca costume in the audience, resulting in Han solo arguing with chewbacca over sleeping with his wife, lol.
Statler and Waldorf are likely there specifically to do what they're doing, distract from the person on stage(fozzy in this case) telling a stale joke and bombing and keep the show's momentum.

This is why Kermit needed that vacation in Gamer Frog Swamp.

As someone who DIDNT grow with the show I can see how good that show was
Telling puns after committing first-degree murder is the most Fozzie thing ever.
Afterlife Statler: "Judging by the adverse reaction to our last joke, that was probably second-degree murder he just sic'd on us."

“It’s time to play the music.”
“It’s time to light the lights.”
“It’s time to get things started, on the muppet show tonight.”
A few months later, Fozzie pinned the murder of Stater and Waldorf on a golden grizzly bear from a local pizzeria located in Hurricane Utah, with the help of some Muppet private investigators. To separate both murders, he made one get set in 1983, the other in 1987. Fozzie was relieved of his crime and carried that burden for the rest of his life.
Loved how Fozzie goes full bear mode, was expecting Kermit to eat a fly in the air next…
