The "I'm sorry I didn't know y'all were veterans" line was so stupid but so good lmao
It was dark humor.
****You mean SNL, Keegan-Michael Key, and Muppets crossover
I was at a local concert once for veterans and they asked all who served to stand up and when I tell you they were all in wheelchairs and with canes 😩 the look of horror from the woman onstage made it hysterical
I lost it at that point, there was no coming back 😂
As a kid growing up watching the muppets I absolutely could not control my laughter and joy while watching this skit. However, the "joke" about veterans hurt my heart and thought it was insensitive. Comedy pushes boundaries but this was too far for me.
Kermit's face when he gets called a dragon is brilliant 😂
It’s his iconic “scrunch face”.
Fun Fact: He’s able to do that, because the head is just basically the puppeteer’s hand. No foam at all. In the words of Jim Henson, Kermit is basically a “glorified sock puppet”.
You know you're an SNL legend when you make Kenan break
Not really. Kenan has that stupid smirk on his face in every skit. He's always on the verge of breaking.
Beavis and Butthead skit was not any different
Because it might get swept under the rug, the fact that Kyle is doing the voice for Kermit is so spot on, it’s ridiculous.

Laraine Newman (one of the original SNL cast members) tweeted that this was one of the funniest sketches she's seen on the show, and I agree with her.

"this little dragon" almost broke Kenan
Kermit's silent reactions when he's called a dragon and then Kramer are brilliant - perfect homage to Henson!
I totally disagree, Henson and SNL have a bad history, the Henson company worked on the Land of Gorch sketches years ago and hated it and were thankful to pull out thanks to a contract change to another network
They even got that Kermit scrunching up his mouth thing that he always does.
Who voiced Kermit? And which actors did all the puppeteering?
@@sulleycunningham3850 The Muppets didn't really have such a bad history; their comedy style just didn't blend well with SNL's, and both Henson and the writers knew it. They seemed to really enjoy performing the Gorch characters, especially Jerry Nelson as Scred.

Seeing how The Muppet Show first started on SNL, before they decided they weren't a good fit for each other and each had their own success- seeing them come full circle like this is a trip!
The swollen eyes of the puppet on the left and how his hand is trembling when he's trying to get back up is hilarious. Best sketch in a long time.

The last time the Muppets were on SNL it flopped so maybe this time it might not
It is. They recently changed the voice actor for Kermit and it is far inferior. If they changed it back, then an SNL appearance would be a great way to advertise that.

It's a classic Muppet move...
I never paid much attention to the old white men heckling up in the VIP box, but I did get satisfaction seeing rudeness and arrogance get what they deserve, regardless of who they are or think they are. The shaking and black eyes were an outrageous parody and update that were shockingly funny for adult humor. We wont show our young children this skit.
I legit felt bad for him here. The first punch was funny, but then it just kept going. When you combine it with Stadler’s quiet shaking in horror, it was just... not good.
It reminded me of Anthony Peter Coleman and his puppet, "Tony". "No one was laughing in Grenada...."

You can tell the sketches quality increases when they have an actual comedian hosting
Yes. It's a well known fact that the cast and writers save all their good sketches for people they admire. That's why Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey and Dave Chappelle will always, always, always get the best sketches. As well as other SNL alums (e.g. Sandler, Fallon, Fey, Rudolph, Sandberg, etc), Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks, Justin Timberlake, are also high on that list as well. The only exception I would say as far as SNL alum, would probably be Chevy Chase. He's well hated in the entertainment industry. So I doubt they would let him shine if he were to host.
Huge contrast in quality from the elon musk one
I thought the Elon Musk show was better than last night’s episode. Not because Musk is a comedic actor, he’s obviously not, but the material and sketches were far superior. I didn’t care for this episode at all. Just my opinion….
