55yr old man here, 2 years separated, hopefully she'll stop stalling and sign the divorce papers in early 2025. John, I carry my vision in my wallet. When I hit rock bottom in Dec 2023, I made a laminated card to carry around with me, using inspiration from the movie "Riddick." One side of the card has a pic of Riddick with the words, "There are bad days, and then there are legendary bad days." The other side had a picture of overweight and unhappy me with the words, "So now we reset the clock." It worked wonders, now I am super fit and happy, never to co-habit or marry every again. In 2025, I hope to purchase a small cabin in a rural area I have my eye on, get a Labrador and enjoy the freedom and peace I have worked so hard for. So yes, stay single is my motto too, for I tried the other one and the scars still run deep.

My year was 2021 with separation and divorce in 2023. I got super fit also and then I got an injury to my back. It effected left leg strength and started to see progress and then unseen health issues have occurred over the last 3 months. Crazy, my plan was the same outlook with a garden , dog, small home, 7 car garage and I was planning on moving in 2023, but here I am over weight and trying to fix my health issues, but with no health insurance and limited ability to work due to these last three years of crazy all started with an injury to my back. I figured out, people can't prepare for the future because we don't know what can change our direction. I do hope you find your happiness and goals, but leave room to except help, as you can't prepare for the unexpected.

That is a very nice card and Riddick had some great one-liners, haha.

@@BlakesPipes Sorry to hear about your back issues - it's so easy to take good health for granted and then boom it hits u.
My brother in-law has had 2 major back operations and looking at a possible third - he is house bound currently.
      Take care.

    • @BlakesPipes

@@aldosigmann419 I am /was a physical therapist. Working with a patient that was 320 pounds. Good leg buckled and my back did not fare so well to assisting the patient back to sitting. Herniated L3 with sever impingement on L3 nerve. Lost 50 percent of left leg strength. Just got back to being able to work a sedentary job 8 hours a day a few times a week and diverticulitis hit 3 months ago. Two flare ups. I tell you that because, I never saw any of these two health issues coming. We can't prepare for things we do not know. Just becareful with local support with people. If it was not for my neighbors, garbage would not get out. Medications would have been hard to get and another neighbor brought food. People I only met just a year before all this crap went down hill. As far as your brother in law with back surgery, i can relate. Not fun times. I was bed bound and used walker to my toilet for months. One or two trips to the kitchen a day. Alcohol was a friend for a while as it was the only thing that got rid of the pain and made me tolerate day to day. So I feel for him. But I work tonight and getting a small step forward again. Have a plan that I should be 80 back to real life in 4 months. Keep truckin my friend. Happy new year!😊

Someone asked me about my New Year's resolutions, and I replied, 'Why wait a whole year to start fixing my life?' I prefer making changes in real-time, as and when they’re needed. Waiting for the start of the Gregorian calendar feels like procrastination to me. Of course, my perspective wasn't exactly popular-but hey, they did ask!

Mr. Griffin, Thank you for talking about and giving guidance on men's issues to help us get and be better for ourselves. The situation with women is now a dead horse. We know it is best to leave them where they stand and ONLY have the shortest of professional contact with them. Please continue to focus on male self improvement for us. I plan to get good with God, myself, my health, my money, a modest (estrogen free) home, etc.....

I lift my dumbbells a couple times a week. Maybe two sets of 8 for each exercise. I tied a fractional weight on a piece of furniture with a cord. When glancing around the front room, I see this weight and it reminds me to make sure I do the exercises. I also have some cardstock to record my progress. So far I have lost about 40 pounds. Its important to be reminded of your goals every day.

To the Stoics, character was EVERYTHING. Start with Meditations by Marcus Aurelius to gain a broad and practical view of human existence.
The Emperor said that a meaningful life was not lived for ourselves alone, but for the common good, and that every person can contribute to this through acts great and small.
By the way, Marcus Aurelius, ruler of the Roman Empire, had an unfaithful wife (Faustina), who was a serial cheater. Which just goes to show that you *never* could make women happy.

I wanted to drop a second comment here, just to say this video really helped me. I've done so many journaling exercises over the years, answering countless questions about "what do you want in life," to find my vision, goals, mission, purpose, etc... But your way of focusing on "peak experiences" and who you were BEING in those moments, really helped me focus in on something different, something less superficial. I think this clarity will help me stop focusing so much on things I wanna GET, and instead focus more on who I love BEING as a person. Really excellent video, thank you.

Recently divorced, happy and finding my way, but after 10 years of narccisistic abuse, my requirment is that what I do must bring me peace. Things to think about: Create a life you can live with. We all have special gifts, find your highest and best use. We are happiest when we are climbing. No one else can make you happy. Money won't make you happy but having no money will make you very unhappy. Love God, serve others, live simply. Without your health you have nothing. You can't be proud of your gifts as they were given to you, you can only be proud of your choices. You will increase the likelyhood of cultivating meaning in your life to the extent that you succeed in finding things that are worth doing even without the compensation of success. You can guage what is important to someone by how they spend their time and money. A mans true wealth is the good that he does in the world. Most women are not sugar and spice and everthing nice.

One could also point out that a compass that's a degree or two off is still "directionally correct." Boston is a lot closer to New York than LA is. :) Thus, visionary perfection isn't required. Just get meaningfully closer.

Pretty good stuff once again. Although the material thing.. I have to say. If you have a comfortable ride that doesn't break down.. That makes me really happy tbh. If you have Porsche money, go for it. But don't expect a great experience from a second hand for 10k... Many young guys buy such a messed up car just to realize their dream and then it becomes a nightmare.

Helping the others is not more valious than focus on your own happiness. Altruism is not the ultimate porpose, just because some priests or politicians say it. And having materialistic goals is a lot better than not having no goal at all.

As the numbers of women in media, entertainment, academia, and government increases, so does the abuse of men.
There's no coming back from this now, only forward to the crash, and if you dont get out of the system, and self sufficient, your life will soon have meaning, things like starvation and death.
Methinks its time to focus every man on building his own life raft.
Survival is a great meaning! 😊

Problem with starting over was nothing changed, it was the same thing over again. It starts out with a little lower expectations, a little more rigid effort, almost felt like taking off right where I left off. And it was. I take some of the blame because the slate wasn't clean and I don't think it ever will be. silly emotions and feelings get in the way. But my desires are the same as they always have been from the beginning, which are slowly becoming a fantasy. I'm going to have to forget what is traditional and start considering just being friends or something first. So that we can treat each other like a loving couple instead of partners. Hard to explain but, you can never go home over tore up tracks. All my problems are my own, I will say I would have been better off single, if I had never met certain people, I feel dumber for having known women.. idle hands are the work of the devil, keep them busy. Maybe one day you'll look up and the love of your life will be standing in front of you. 80% of the friends of mine remarried foreign women and are very happy. Women from other countries have different respect and understanding of men. Look at our president, people of power, behind every great man is a great woman.

Especially men can or even will profit very much from a carnivore diet.
Such a diet makes us strong, focused and manly.
Don’t believe that green beans are healthy! They are not.
Note: If you would be starving, eating green beans is fine. Plants are survival foods.
But, especially men, will strive on meat, while we only survive on plants.
Note: If you want your girl, wife or female partner to be strong, healthy and mentally strong, feed her animal based meals too.
The stronger you need to be, the better it is to be on a carnivore diet.
Note: Best is to stay on your carnivore diet, as your body adapts to it. Mixing often is counterproductive.
    Try it
    Love it
    Never stop it.

That’s why you must stay single and never get somebody pregnant unless having lots of children, use your goal. That’s why marriage fails and won’t work because you need to find somebody that has the same goals as you and as those dynamic goals change, she needs to change too. Her goals won’t match yours, and if they appear to, she’s submitting to you and resent you for it. Eventually, she will cash in with America’s divorce laws in place. If I buy a lottery ticket, I’m only out a dollar. Finding that girl is like winning the lottery, but it’ll cost a hell of a lot more than a dollar.

"The masses" makes me laugh, because you do not see you as "the masses". I am not the masses. All the people I knew who followed "metaphysics" are in disarray now. Intention, details, and expectation of outcome are what is vital. The "law of attraction" and that line is nonsense. Work is what makes things happen.
