I got my Leatherman Micra today and i love the quality. It is better than i was expecting! Litteraly a miniature Leatherman, and the best part; i don't even feel it hanging on my keychain(i use a TJB Hardin)!
Another negative for the 'Micra': the blade opens the wrong way, with the second handle hindering the cutting action.
I bought a Dime and have carried it for about 2 years. It is hands down the winner if you frequently use the bottle opener. Here I am reconsidering now that I've stopped drinking for the most part.
The scissors on the Micra can cut the same gauge wire as the Dime. The finger nail cleaner on the Micra works for me as a “retail package opener.” The pliers on the Dime just aren’t useful enough. I ended up keeping the Micra.
Thats a great idea for the fingernail cleaner. I hadn't thought about using it as a retail package opener. Thanks for the tip. 👍
Bought a Gerber dime 4 years ago and used it a lot especially the pliers. I lost it😢
I bought a new one and the pliers broke the first time I used them. The tube that the screws thread into snapped in half with light pressure.😡😡

Micra is 99% there for me, I especially like the knife more, the file, the tweezers, having a ruler, and obviously the scissors are great... but pliers are a nice tool to always have on hand, so many uses... so unfortunately even though I'd say the micra is better, gerber dime wins for me.

Dime has been in my pocket for years. A Micra lives in a travel repair kit.
I have really liked my Dime but the spring loaded pliers are not very durable. That is always the first thing to break. I *love* the package opener, I've used that more than all the other tools combined on it.
I like the package opener too and I use it often, more than the knife to be honest. I feel the pliers are flimsy and I hold back on putting too much pressure on them. I guess that's why they've lasted lol.

Yeah 50 bucks for a 2 1/2 inch multi tool is ridiculous.
Yeah. I wouldn't mind $35 for it, But I do find it kinda expensive. There's some good options for less than $50 out there, that's for sure.
Same but my dad had a leatherman… I have a leatherman… going to get my wife and kids a leatherman…. Maybe
@@wakawaka1976 Yeah I have 3 Leathermans. My first one was the Skeletool and I found a real good deal on the Wingman and Sidekick at my local Ace.
For me the dime have better selection of tool but bad executed and the micra have a bad selection of tools like the tweezers i feel them like a waste of space
